  • December 28: The 59th season of the New England Patriots ends on a high note as the Pats shutout the Bills 13-0. Victories by the Dolphins and the Ravens ensure the Pats will not make the playoffs despite a 11-5 record.

  • December 21: New England fans endure 3 days of terrible weather and are awarded with a 47-7 Pats victory over the Cardinals. The Pats end the season 5-3 at home and sweep the NFC West.

    The Pats finish their 49th regular season with a pivotal game against the Buffalo Bills.

  • December 14: The Pats take down the Oakland Raiders 42-26. The Pats are now guaranteed to get their 8th consecutive winning season. At worst they'll be 9-7.

    Up Next: the Pats finish their 7th season at Gillette Stadium next Sunday with a big match-up against the 2008 NFC West Champion Arizona Cardinals.

  • December 7: The Seahawks give the Pats a good run for the money, but the Pats get a 24-21 win. The Pats have 8 wins now so they can't have a losing season. At worst they'll finish 8-8. At best they'll finish 11-5.

    The Pats play the Raiders next Sunday in their final AFC West game of the season. (they play their final NFC West game against the Cardinals December 21)

  • November 30: The Pats drop to 7-5 after a defeat against the Steelers. Congrats to the Steelers as they have 9 wins, guaranteeing a winning season.

    Up next: The Pats play the Seahawks Sunday in their 3rd NFC West game of the season.

  • November 23: The Pats are back to 2nd Place in the AFC East after a 48-28 victory against the Dolphins.

    The Patriots next play the Steelers in hopes of obtaining that 8th win that prevents a losing season. (The Pats play their final AFC East game on December 28 against the Bills)

  • November 13: Before the season started, Thunder12to81 said the Pats might finish 13-3 if they finish strong. So much for that. The Pats lose 31-34 to the Jets and drop to 6-4 (2-2 in the AFC East). The Pats will drop to 3rd in the AFC East if the Dolphins win Sunday.

    Up Next: The Dolphins and the Pats battle November 23 in a contest for 2nd place in the AFC East.

  • November 9: A 20-10 victory over the Bills advances the Pats to 6-3 (2-1 in the AFC East). The Jets (same record) play the Pats Thursday in a battle for control of the AFC East. The Pats have beat the Jets 4 times in a row, including a victory in a 2006 AFC Wildcard Game.

    The Bills and the Pats play each other again on December 28.

  • November 2: The Patriots lose to the Colts 18-15 and drop to 5-3 (1-1 in the AFC East). The New York Jets are now in top of the AFC East at 5-3 (2-1 in the AFC East)

    The Patriots now play a dreadful 2 games in five days. They play their first Bills game on November 9 and their 2nd Jets game on November 13.

  • October 26: A 23-16 win over the Rams advances the Pats to 5-2 (1-1 in the AFC East). They are temporarily in first place of the AFC East (The Bills are second with a 5-2 record and a 0-1 record in the AFC East)

    Up Next: The Patriots have a big Sunday Night match-up next week against their former conference rivals, the Indianapolis Colts. (The Pats' next NFC West game is on December 7 against the Seahawks).

  • October 20: The Pats crush the Broncos 41-7 to advance to 4-2 (2-1 against the AFC West)

  • It pains me to say, but the Pats have lost 2 of their last 3 games thanks to a 10-30 loss to the San Diego Chargers.

    The Pats had better do their darndest to beat the Broncos next Monday. A loss to the Broncos accompanied by a Jets victory over the Raiders and a Dolphins victory over the Ravens could send the Pats to the bottom of the AFC East.

  • October 5: Bye Week, it does a Patriot good. the Patriots come off a bye week to defeat the 49ers 30-21 and advance to a 3-1 record, securing their 2nd place standing in the AFC East.

    Up next: the Pats face the Chargers on Sunday Night Football.

  • September 21: New England sports fans gain a newfound appreciation for Tom Brady as Matt Cassel leads the Pats to a crushing 13-38 loss to the Dolphins. The Pats' 21-game regular season winning streak is now kaput.

    The Pats get a week off before facing the 49ers on October 5.

  • September 14: The kid is alright! Matt Cassel leads the Pats to a 19-10 victory over the Favre-led Jets. The Jets and Patriots will see each other again on November 13.

    The 2-0 Pats face the 0-2 Dolphins next Sunday at 1 PM on CBS.

  • September 8: It's official.Thanks to his injury in yesterday's game against the Chiefs, Tom Brady has done all the playing he's going to do for the 2008 season.
