@MrPyrotech96 Nicotine gets on EVERYTHING. If you smoke in your house you may not realize it, but it's in the air and sticks to all surfaces. If you ever look at the walls in a heavy smokers house there is a slight "off" yellow tint to it. That is the effect of nicotine. As a result, dust sticks on top of that. It's one of the reasons smoking is so horrible for people with allergies.

@MegaFlash92 Usually I would do that. I was a little pressed for time when I made this, and didn't think about it. I actually had a few people ask me about that, and I usually recommend replacing the stock compound with quicksilver.

Just came across this and had to respond. This is probably one of the most well informed video's I've seen of hardware cleaning on YouTube. Too many times I've come across videos of folks manhandling their hardware, using dangerous tools, or just being generally unsafe.
This on the other hand was well planned out, careful, and methodical. Really excellent stuff.

I have actually been very busy as of late and have not had a chance to do much video work, but since I have been getting such good responses on my current vids I'm thinking of setting some time aside to make more. I really like doing tutorials more than anything - any thing anyone would be interested in seeing as a video tutorial? My next project I'm thinking about building a gaming PC from scratch to show all the steps involved. Or maybe a TOTAL PC cleaning video
No, I usually don't like doing that because it means that you have to re seat the whole thing with Thermal Paste again. With cleaning, just the intakes are usually clogged up.

Dude....next time remove the heatsink and clean that too. Change the thermal compound on the GPU as well. Great vid anyway.

@x8xid No problem. You did a great job. I use the same tehnique, but i change the thermal compund. Usually i use AS Ceramique or AS5. Good job.
