  • Learn to play with a wah and then make a good vid ...

  • I have this pedal and I've been able to get some great tones out of it, but just turning the q-knob make little to no difference in the sound. There's another knob on the left side of the pedal that controls the sweep, and this is where the tonality fluctuates the most

  • cool video. thanks for posting bro

  • This "test" are fucking horrible, jackass!!

  • @illustrisimus So is your English!

  • @stoodiodood I believe you mean so ARE his English,

  • Which is the make and model of that guitar ?

  • @TheSoulSilver17 its an eastwood not sure the model

  • Why doesn't my crybaby 535Q have that little red button??

  • are those shape ups?

  • When you turn on transcribe audio on this video it says awesome things.

  • @bfv102290

first of all, the camera mic is bad...

and the pedal has more options than the silver knob...

  • HI CHECK ME PLAYING ZAKK WYLDE CRY BABY WHA ON ONE OF MY SONG CALLED GROOVE WARRIOR THANKS

  • Feels like the dimebag would be the best wah to get.

  • mine does not work... great

  • Thanks fof the info

  • What kind of guitar is he using in this video? I've been looking for it for a while and cant seem to find it.Any one know the brand and model?

  • @overkill017 Looks like an Eastwood Airline Coronado.

  • the combination of the two highest rated comments are pretty hilarious

  • monster cable! LOL

  • is it true bypass?

  • Ugly SHitty Shoes!!!

  • if you turn the "transcribe" you will laugh xD

  • WOW, heavy boost XD

  • Use the variable Q switch it then you can really make it sound way different.

  • @ty2drew well the cry classic has the same inductor that gave the actual original crys their sound and toms that he uses was manfacted in the 80 s so u culd get a lot more of his tone

  • currently selling mine on ebay to uk bidders if anyone is interested :-) cool vid

  • How does this wah compare to the Crybaby classic Fasel wah? (for Rage Against the machine stuff and original songs)

  • @ranger1944omaha yeah but your a greenday fan

  • thats some funky shit right there!!!

  • This one fucking sucks i bought it and all it does is dampen my volume and makes screeching noises and i dont have much gain either

  • I am about to buy a new wah (Ihave had a crybaby classic for about ten years, it is almost worn out). So I am reading reviews and watching demos. Liked yours a lot. Great tone BTW.

  • I don't like most of the effects for the guitar out there, but the wah is something I really like. Nice demo!

  • Is this spring loaded? or do you have to heel it? I'm planning on getting one soon and I'm just curious.

  • What is wrong with his shoe? Maybe he has a 'Club Foot' ?

  • help me. my 535q is good clean. but it destroys the dist i get from my ds-2. what do i do? i place it after the boss. different wah needed?

  • @dckstrat90 try placing 535q before ds2

  • What wah pedal would you recommend I get? I'm looking at this pedal and the Ibanez WD7...I've been told very good things about the WD7 and apparently it's a great wah for metal and harder rock, which I play. But, the Crybaby is a legend, and the versatility that comes with the 535Q is hard to pass up on...So any recommendations?

  • hey,is this the same pedal as the dunlop gcb535q?

  • Old man shoes!

  • your foot makes the cry baby look so very small

  • This thing keeps great tone and dosent jump from low to high volume.

  • wait does the knob adjust the tone or the sweep of the wah?

  • All 5 settings fucking sound the same!

  • @bfv102290 thats cause the sound quality for all youtube vidoes suck

  • @severia123 Even though i can hear differences, the problem is that the guy is playing the same thing over and over, he should make it a little bit different.

It's a great wah pedal by the way, i don't regret buying it and probably never will.

  • @Kradoz yea your rite i hope to get one july 14 ordered the chrome one for a b-day gift to myself so hopefully it comes tomorrow

  • @bfv102290 I have one of these and the reason you can't hear the difference is because the sound on this video sucks.

  • @bfv102290 cause this dumb fuck is playing the same thing for all five. the different settings are for different styles not just. wahwahwahwah. lol this guy sucks

  • @bfv102290 The recording is crap you have to hear with your own ears and trust me the tone gets much warmer and plus on the left of the pedal their also a little knob that you can even get it warmer or brighter. It is the best wah ever!!! That why they call it the swiss army knife of wahs :)

  • @bfv102290 You sir, obviously dont play guitar.

  • @bfv102290 You better get your ears checked out, dude.

  • @bfv102290 I noticed that, but from what I've seen that must be the tone he has dialed in. I have seen it run through with distortion and it changes dramatically.

  • @bfv102290 over a shitty camera mic they do

  • @bfv102290 Each setting varies in frequency range. He is playing the same chords the whole time, you would notice more of a difference if he were playing lead in the upper frets. This is not a good demo at all. This is just about the most flexible wah pedal money can buy. Other than the rack mount unit.

  • @bfv102290 you say that because youre a stupid newbie playing guitar

  • @bfv102290 no they don't.. the first setting is with higher Q slope, and the last is with flatter q slope..

    best wah ever

  • @bfv102290 cuz it controls the MIDDLE sweep on each setting. how easily the low goes to the highs

  • @GiulianoBasile

if you were gigging with it, you'd have to adjust it with your foot. they're built to take abuse :)

  • Crybabys are the best :-)

  • So this over the zakk wylde signature wah ???

I want one mostly for rock - metal solos.

  • @sidedead92 You can get the same sounds out of this as you would get from the wylde wah plus a boost. Youre paying for the name on the wylde wah.

  • Maybe it's the video, or maybe it just speaks to my relative "novice-ness", but other than the boost (which was awesome) the different EQ levels seemed pretty much the same. That being said, even though my impression is that the levels are too similar, the tone great and the boost, again, was awesome. I definitely think I'm gonna be seriously considering this for my board.

  • @01Justin010 I was just wondering the exact same thing, oddly enough. Did you ever come to a decision? I don't know which to buy.

  • @boyofdestiny1123 i went with the WH10V2 havent regretted it

  • I wud say Big Bad Wah isn't so good anymore

  • lol i have this pedal at home on my pedal board. i don't use it much because i don't do a lot of wah wah stuff but i usually leave it on one setting and just use it when i get bored. i'll have to go home and mess around with the different sounds i am just lazy. it is a solid pedal though.

  • Suena como un efecto de muse

  • he's got funny shoes.

  • I prefer the weeping demon.

  • what is better than jimi hendrix wah wah, kirk hammet and slash?

  • the answer is this wah right here in this video...

  • Now that is just offensive. Why would you say such a thing?

  • Oh my goodness!!! What did I do to deserve this?

  • rapist pedophile beards

  • does this pedal have a wide range

because i dont know what to buy

  • Yep, you can get about any wah sound you are looking for.

  • yes it does, you can customize it to your own style or sound thats how versatile this baby is!

  • can i achieve kirk hammetts wah sound with this or should i just spend $30 more for the kh95 if i want it

  • @lilmetalman3 i got this and its great, buy this one, save the 30 dollars, this pedal is excelent for all types,

  • you can definitley get the hammet sound and many more... ala hendrix, or maybe clapton or maybe satriani.... the possibilities are endless ;)

  • I'm getting this for Christmas, I cant wait!

  • me aswell! :D I get to test it today though! :D

  • sweet man im supposed to get a Ibanez Weeping Demon for christmas

  • same here! :]

  • best pedal on the planet, false. there are better versions of the crybaby that beat this one

  • is that has switches on the left side too?

  • hey, thinkin of gettin one of these.but when the guy activated the boost switch on the side it made a popping sound, does that happen with every's?

  • No, not on mine

  • does this crybaby have true bypass?

i love crybabys but none of them have hardwired true bypass, but i hear rumors that this one does.

    please reply

  • Comment removed

  • yes it does.

  • Stock no, but you can always mod it.

  • yeah they have true bypass

well at least the manual says so haha

  • you suck at interpreting pedals. Dont do it again.

  • the little red button on the side of my pedal keeps popping out, does anyone else have this problem with theirs? When I first bought the pedal it was missing but I had it replaced and it still falls off.

  • Hi, what's the guitar you're using in this video?

  • it's an Eastwood

  • LMAO! which guitar center is this? i work at the one in SF.. lol.. u guys..

  • im having problems with this pedal, i turn it on and the wah effect isnt working. all it can do is just conduct my guitar to my amp. no matter how hard i try i just cant get it to work...help?

  • batteries? If the battery is too low then it only works limitedly. Or perhaps you didn't turn it on properly? Did you hear a click? Perhaps you should screw around with the knobs?

  • yeah i heard the click, have screwed with the knobs, and put an unused battery in there, its kinda old tho....i think ill go change it. thanks for the help

  • Press your toes all of the way down till you hear a click.

  • i got it but that wasnt the problem, thanks anyways

  • I don't think it is actually true bypass, but I've heard that the bypass circuitry isn't bad on this pedal.

  • can sum1 plz help me. whenever i activate the boost and the volume is pretty high, everything just feeds back

  • had that same problem it gets annoying. try lowering the volume or switching to the neck pedal and use less treble

  • the volume and the input can be adjusted

  • Wah-wah pedals accentuate certain frequencies, depending on where you set the treadle, obviously. This characteristic may manifest itself in harmonic overtones and feedback. Particularly if you've already got some gain on your amp, or if you're using it toe down (and parking it there), you're likely to get some feedback. Get some gain on the amp, and I would expect you to get feedback wherever you park the treadle. Add a loud boost to the circuit and you'll likely increase this considerably...

  • i like is airline :D

  • if anyone can help:

i got a 535q off of ebay that was used. it works perfectly fine. i got it because of a guitarist by the name of Adam Jones (TOOL) and his low end of his is CRAZY. The one thing i noticed about mine is that it doesnt have that i guess "red button" by the end of the pedal. Is there a difference? thanks.

(and according to alot people, justin and Adam's pedals have gone through some heavy modifications, so that might be it)

  • red button is a boost. the control for the boost (on my pedal) is actually under the pedal

  • Yeah same.

I shortly figured out after watching this it was a boost lol.

    Thanks!

  • what should i get zakk wylde wah or 535q wah pedal im stuck ! :(

  • the 535q man! :) at least I would recommend that much more. maybe try em both out

  • yes deffenetly the 535q,, you can change the depth and boost of the pedal,, you can get some crazy tones out of it :)

  • get the dime it's the same as this but also has a sweet control, volume control and range. 3 extra control options

  • WOW i was like cool thas pretty good, then boost..

    OMG AWSOME

  • Ha "mom n' dad are gonna love that". Sure will

  • is this better than the custom audio electronics wah?

  • best wah on the market fella's.

  • how many batteries does this take. and what are the main differences between this and the crybabyfromhell?

  • is that the dime one? cos if it is its got a built in boost for lead stuff and its a pretty badass pedal IMO

  • + the eq

  • one 9 volt. i just got one today

  • what about the price? someone know the retail price? its sounds great! a little bit noisy but great!

  • 126 dolars!

  • 535Q is the best wah wah in crybaby ?

  • I just bought this one new for 129$ :D cant wait till I get it

  • I hear alot about this wah and i want one thats worth keeping. Im set on this one but if anyone has a better suggestion as to what i should buy please tell me. And i already know about VOX and my cuz lets me borrow his so don't suggest that one.

  • ibanez weeping demon is pretty awesome

  • i bought a dunlop gcb-95 for £50 and i think its a great wah pedal for its price even though mine was used :P

  • yes i believe it is an eastwood airline

  • Lush guitar!!

  • when u use the boost should the button stay in or should it pop out again?? mine pops out and i get no boost :(

  • look on the bottom of the pedal. when it's out, the boost is off. when it's in, the boost is on. make sure your pedal's volume knob is turned up some too.

  • yeah.. I noticed the problem with it.. The red button was to short so it didn't turn the boost on.. made that taller and everything worked fine :)

  • this thing is so expesive for a poor person like me but i want it baddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

  • Yes. And "really" has 2 l's.

  • It's a toaster oven.

  • I got this yesterday, and its great.

But everytime i press down with my toe, it makes the switching sound when its not actually switching. Is this a problem, or should I just ignore it?

  • is this wich kirk hammett uses? and buckethead?

  • I think Hammett uses the Italian Fasel-inductor wah's, right?

  • buckethead use it

  • So does Adam Jones from Tool.

  • well a bb-535

  • And Joe Satriani.

  • i'm in the market for some wah pedals, and i mostley play metallica, so what wah pedal should i get?

    535Q

    Original Crybaby

    Crybaby from hell

    Or something else?

  • get a 535q... its nice and you can play a lot of different styles

  • Thanks got the original its sick

  • why doesnt mine sound like that? the boost switch doesnt do squat i must have a defective one damn!!!

  • Have you fooled around with the volume and control on the output side of the pedal?

  • I think the Original but also try the EVH model.

  • which sounds better for slash sounds cry baby original or classic?

  • If you can try this in a shop try it. It has a volume control, u can change the "Variable Q" and the range selector, that silver wheel. I have it and its a great whawha.

  • slash has its own dunlop signature crybaby pedal. that might be the best one to use

  • It's got a boost/overdrive function on it too, I believe.

  • the 535q is pretty versatile

  • Damit i want money so i can buy that mutherfuker! it sounds awsome

  • I just bought one yesterday and cant get it to work 8|

    any idea?

  • sure u plugged in the right places?

  • Problem solved )

I thought it would be auto wah but alright :p

  • The Boss isn't even in the same ballpark as the 535Q- not even a consideration in my opinion.

  • I heve a problem... I want to buy Wah Wah but I don't kno wich model is better Boss PW10 or Dunlop Crybaby 535q????? Please help me

    Greetings from Poland ;]

  • Definitely a Jim Dunlop Crybaby 535Q Wah.

  • This has been my favorite wah for many years but.... the new EVH wah Dunlop is making knocked me out. I'd go for that & it definately sounds great on GNR!

  • Hey, do you know if it works with the sweet child solo?

I'm in great doubt betweeen the slash signature crybaby or this one...advice please?

  • this is probably the best wah pedal out there in my opinion. i recently got one and it sounds so amazing
