Thanks! You're right. I have made some tests with an Accuphase E308 with these speakers, and I just not believed how good the sound was. Needed some (over) bass treatment, but the details and soundstage are fantastic. Incredible speakers for the price!

The CD has many other nice tracks, it's a good acquisition. There are an other CD that sounds incredible in this system, but is a electronic style music: Subconscious from Phutureprimitive. If you like some more instrumental, see Bliss - Quiet Letters (US Edition), it's great.

cables wont remove that screechy midrange and harsh treble.

I think this is more a matter of tweak the right components together, but this is just my opinion. Recently, using a Van Den Hul speaker cable, the overall system performance took a stelar step, and the trebly sound on some records has disappeared, furthermore the bass became powerful and precise.

indeed very nice speakers. really best in price... but aren't they a little over trebled? I've heard them once and i did find them overtrebled, but it could be the music being outbalanced. can you plz tell me? tnx!

You're right. For this price these speakers give you a lot. About treble, I think this speakers need a right combination to avoid excessive treble. Silver cables, for example, are a bad combination. Anyway, these speakers give you a little "open" sound, with very detailed highs and mids. I heard the Paradigm Studio 20, and the sound is very seemed.

ok so maybe I've heard a combination that made them sound a little trebly, but they sounded very fresh in their whole range. Not only the mids and hights were superb, their low end was also impressive because it's as transparent as the mids and hights, and NOT being boomy at all, something which happens to nearly every other speaker in this price range.
