  • Sounds better here than in-game :/

  • @RidleySmash if you play ps3 version it would sound the same if you play xbox 360 then you are stuck in the high compressed audio zone :)

  • @RDilus oh Dang

  • 潰れろJehovah FF。

  • やはりFFって作品によってはストーリーの完成度に偏りがあるけどグラフィックと音楽に関しては常に最高クラスのものを提供してくれるな

  • 48 people are Cie'th

  • 何百回と聴いたが飽きがこない神曲だね

  • FFXIII is shit. haters gon hate

  • I sing this in my shower. It's one of the few songs I will proudly sing in the shower without caring who listens to me....

  • To bad the game wasn't as awesome as the music .

  • this music video has almost reached to 1 million :O

  • the violin part is the best

  • 45 guys were still in the ship when it crashed on grand pulse =(

  • 最高だね^^

  • I like this battle theme, was composed by Nobuo?

  • @shikamaruw No. Uematsu is out from Final Fantasy music since FF12! Hamashi Hamauzu (who partially wrote FFX soundtrack) is the writer of it!

  • @Loustix *MASASHI Hamauzu.

  • Al minuto uno, es que se hace distinguir. * o*b

  • It looks like 43 people were..

    *puts on sunglasses*

    Blinded by the Light.

    YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @ichikogawolfdemon *clap....clap....clap*

  • @ichikogawolfdemon Hahaha that's hilarious :P

  • 43 people play too much COD and don't understand a quality game.

  • this game is bad but the musique is awsome!!!

  • In my opinion, the new battle system made the battles run more smoothly and faster...I mean, at first I was pretty pissed that I could only control one character, but I got over it. The whole Paridigm shifts were pretty cool too, go from Slash and Burn to War and Peace :3

  • @ganonslayer01 One of many advantages over the incredibly dull FF12

  • Love Thiss<3 :D

  • Blinded by Light

  • YOUTUBE!!! I demand a repeat button!!!

  • what a fucking great track!!!

  • Fantastic.

  • What's the real title of this song? It can't just be called "battle theme" in the album, right?

  • @iansheng blinded by light

  • @GeMaMaPe Thanks, dude! :)

  • この曲の題名って「閃光」でしたっけ?

  • @kuraudo8810

    そうっす

  • it's ok until :57, then it gets shit like the game itself.

  • @simpott Are you kidding? 0:57 is the best part!

  • @simpott Unless you're being sarcastic, I will personally throw you threw the wall.

  • @DarkTypeMarth As if a keyboard-hero could throw me through* a wall ;)

But no, i'm just laying out the facts. Another truth being that Marth is an overpowered fag used by noobs! :D

  • sabers edge is much more epic. I even play it while i play chaos rings

  • Final fantasy had a good story, good gameplay and the battle system was amazing (all final fantasies btw had different battle systems but still kept the ATB) though I though it was a little too linear...

  • Best song of 2010 IMO, which was a year full of amazing OST's. I'd give FFXIII, along with NieR and Heavy Rain for most outstanding soundtracks ^^

  • I love this game, but they shudve put a difficulty setting on this game -.- effing bosses

  • @Phatperson123 This game was easy.

  • @Weltall8000 Very, indeed. It was enjoyable, though.

  • @AltoKoundalinite If challenge, depth, characters, and story aren't the sort of things one is interested in, then sure.

  • lol I wish I could play this music when im doing my yearly exam XD

  • @Mhinx2268 they dont want u to pass : /

  • I don't even remember there being a XIII, last one I played was XII

  • >O< GOOD !!

  • I wanna see the final fantasy square inc. play this LIVE!!!!! lOl! IT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!!!

  • I couldn't get past annoying Vanielle, Hope, and Snow, so I decided to screw the game.

  • sucks my hairy ass

  • i thought the voice actors, graphics and music were really nice. the voices fitted the characters perfectly- even vanilles, her character was built to have that sort of image anyway. Graphics speaks for itself. Music also was one of its highlights.

  • @Charla029 It fits the game very well, yes.

  • i love this song. the violin solo is awsome! its the best part. the game was also incredible.

  • lol i just realised the logo behind FINAL FANTASY 13 is a spoiler......lol wtf. i mean......we know the logo represents cocoon.......but it represents cocoon at the *spoiler* end of the game when vanille and fang save it.

  • I feel like I have the urge to save the world now.

  • @FruitsBasketStar Even if it doesn't want you in it?

  • I Love how every final fantasy I end up liking, theres a second one being made xDD

  • BGMしか特筆することがないゲームだった

It was I mentioned only BGM specially game

  • you might call me a fanboy but i honestly did not think the music was all there(at times it was) and the gameplay was creative and all but the story line was just so random

  • Hehe, this is the only FF game I've ever played, and people said the music was WORSE than past games? I need a copy of 7 soon.

Also I have a funny feeling that this song isn't quite complete without the beeping noises from the attack selection menu or the battle SFX.

  • this game was so great . I wish all players best wishes against Orphanus ^.^

  • Funny how people complain about the linearity but don't even bring up FFX. It was the same thing. Walk down a path and then eventually later in the game you find a big open field (Calm Lands right?)

  • @0Banjo0 Totally agree. Incredible how stupid people can be. It's like they'll just agree with whatever they read.

  • @0Banjo0 You could go back to other places in FFX, plus it had towns and a bunch of NPCs (I want to be a Blitzball when I grow up!)

  • @Canas29 Going backwards on a straight line is by definition not non-linearity.

  • @0Banjo0 The difference was that the characters were interesting.

  • Wtf is the point of disabling ratings for this video?!?

  • @isop9021 Just to make you mad. umad?

  • @allthenamesaretooken FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

    but seriously

  • @isop9021 To be honest i had no idea the rating was off :|

  • @allthenamesaretooken meh w/e :P

  • @isop9021 I'll turn them on just for you.

  • @allthenamesaretooken Lol when u turned them on u got ber ratings XD

  • @allthenamesaretooken Yeah, 'cause I don't care... I just want to listen, not rate... *Shrugs*

  • @allthenamesaretooken Disle this bitch! *Thumbs up*

  • @allthenamesaretooken Disable this bitch! *Thumbs up*

  • It is a really good game. I guess I was a bit lucky with the leveling mechanics, I got it no problem the first time I saw it. I guess that tutorial helped but meh.

The bosses were cool. If they didn't take SO GOD DAMN LONG TO KILL then I would be happy.

I didn't mind the linearity. Although on one part, someone tells me to look at some lights so I don't get lost. Yeah, I hope you know why that confused me.

  • Only played the game till chapter 2 - and I'm pretty confused as to why they threw so much shit at you so fast. Not to mention the game is too easy so far, but the leveling mechanics are VERY annoyingly difficult to follow at first. Then they throw in the most annoying characters I've seen in a while (Lightning / Hope) but mix them with the most cheesy but most awesome FF hero I've seen in a while (Snow). This is one fucking weird game....Back to ME2...until I sort out wtf the plot is in FF13.

  • Can't get past the fucking wide-ass robot in the mines in Chapter 11

  • @0Banjo0 BR-MNP-AUG ^^ (first paradigma) Trisaster (second paradigma)

    last BR-VR-VR (lightning strike)

    so you can do it

  • @0Banjo0 BR-MNP-AUG ^^ first paradigma Trisaster second paradigma

    last BR-VR-VR lightning strike

so you can do it ^^

  • @0Banjo0 Wear fire resist accesories and have a synergist apply barfire. Also when wrecking ball comes (I think its programmed to use it spontaneously, and when his stagger meter is about 165-175%) have a sentinel out so the damage wont be so bad. Push him into stagger and launch lock him. When stagger ends, heal up and repeat.

  • the theme is very nice

  • HMMM 13 wasn't great the only thing i enjoyed was the battles. the music was just ok the music of x was great music is just great if you remember the music also in 10 years ......

  • One of the best Final Fantasy games I have played. Cant wait for Versus.

  • I think I'll try getting this game for Christmas. I've heard very mixed opinions about this game, but I know that I really like the music at least.

  • @MrDrProfessor4 It's REALLY good man!

  • I had played this game for a while and it's making me feel sleepy

only walking figthing and watching the character talk together

It's very bad action scene is very bad too.

  • It didn't feel like free-roam made much of a difference. In most FFs we progressed through the story anyways. There are side-quests in 13, just like any other. I think fans are just finding a minor things to complain about. Just my opinion though, don't hurt me X.X

  • @t5gnyaborar

So true, im sick of people whining about this game.

  • The only Final Fantasy games i played were 4 and 13. FF13 had a serious problem in that you couldnt explore a whole world. you went where u had to execpt for that monster planet. but other than that it wasnt a bad game. it had a good storyline and characters and looked amazing as well as played pretty good.

  • i think the reason why people hated 13 was because to "them" it didn't have "that feeling of a final fantasy" I don't know how that is possible....but to me, it is one of the greatest final fantasy games to be released thus far. Also, the game was more like to introduce people into the RPG game for those who haven't played final fantasy but the developers also tried to make the game better for the final fantasy players. A new direction for both sides.

  • FF13 is a bad Final Fantasy game, but a great game and a work of art.

It's linear nature and somewhat confusing story line(example the characters you play know everything but you're left standing because they don't talk about it much) but in FFX you got to know everything as the story progressed as Tidus asked/found out about it.

This aspect doesn't happen in FF13.

And I hate that all the characters in FF13 grunt and moan at everything hah.

  • I also enjoyed FF13 a lot. I liked how it built up each character's story and when they got to Pulse it seemed like redemption.

  • only good part is at 0:50

  • Hope Estheim for the win!:3

  • my fav ff game is 10

    second is ff 13

    third is ff 7

  • I wonder why so many people hated 13. I really enjoyed it, and the music was great.

  • @t5gnyaborar

I think the linearity had something to do with it, and the fact that they changed many core gameplay features much too fast for some of the older fans of the series.

My reason for disliking it, is the fact that it took me until Gran Pulse (twenty hours into the game) to actually feel a sense of thrill/fun while playing it. *shrug* I loved the battle system and the world itself though. And once it opens up it IS enjoyable. It just took too long to get there for me.

  • @CeruleanRogue, As one of those older fans of the series you speak of, I agree that many of the core gameplay features were changed. However, that is not the reason I dislike it. Believe it or not, us folks that started with FF 1 dont mind change too much. Your second point of being too linear is the sole reason for this FF not cracking my top 3. Once I got onto Pulse, this game was downright spectacular. Hopefully Square Enix learns from this and makes 15 the gem that 13 was supposed to be.

  • @t5gnyaborar It was just fanboys/girls being fanboys/girls as usual, nothing will live up to their expectations anymore. IT has to be a classic sidescroller, or nothinh at all.

It's a sad thing really, I'll admit this game isn't as good as FF X, but in reality, it doesn't suck, like at all.

Many franchises suffer from a divided fanbase (COUGH,SONIC,COUGH), so I guess this isn't too big a suprise.

  • @t5gnyaborar well, ppl hated it because it was incredibly boring. The characters were annoying, especially Snow, the battles were monotonous, and the plot was...well, I have to play the game for myself, but my xbox 360 broke and I have to get it for my birthday.

  • @SPECIALKID1337 you xbox broke well theres a shocker

  • @akybaba5 I hope I get one today for my birthday soon! =D

  • @t5gnyaborar umm, its because the game Final Fantasy XIII isn't free roam able.

  • @t5gnyaborar I can't understand it too. And yes, the music is incredible. I love XIII

  • @t5gnyaborar It was too linear for many. I like the game, I LOVE the graphics and the music but the linearity of it did piss me off a little too and if they had not had that explorable piece in chapter 11 onward I would have hated the game as well. I know they wanted to keep the story focused but it could have been just a tad more open. To me by keeping it so linear it felt more like watching a really good movie than playing a role playing game.

  • @t5gnyaborar

There has YET been a cure for short fuse syndrome.

  • @t5gnyaborar I Think it was because you dont have towns (by that i mean towns with loads of shops that you can buy from so i've heard from my friend) i got mine a week ago but not botherd to play (playing lost odyssey) hehe

  • @t5gnyaborar they wernt hating the FF13 game but the version of it being cut on the ps3 because of the xbox version . the actual gameplay of FF13 was goin to be like the gameplay of kingdom hearts :D instant skill action ! but because of those cuts , the gameplay and even the story were changed . thats why they hate it , they actually hate microsoft ! and square enix for selling FF to xbox

  • @t5gnyaborar It was too lineal. But boy, the story was as good as FFXs :)

  • @NeoGamemaster I have to disagree with that.

  • @t5gnyaborar The truth is, most people liked XIII and thought it had the best and most memorable characters since the PS1 days... but the whiners are always the more vocal lot. Sure, I had issues with the linearity of the areas, but it's still an overall great experience once you've gone through the game and looked back on it.

  • @sonbuhitsunei Most liked it? Speak for yourself.

The game was a pretty tunnel, that was unfortunately, frequently interrupted by a hackneyed story complete with cliche, archetypal characters. A few of the outliers aside (such as this and a couple of others which were also great), the music was also somewhat annoying.

It probably would have even been a better game if all it was were for the player to run down the tunnel and take in the sights. Banking on the one strength of the game; visuals.

  • @Weltall8000 Stop fucking trolling FFXIII and get a fucking life.

  • @yoyoyo88665 Go eat a dick you worthless piece of shit.

  • @yoyoyo88665

    @Weltall8000

both of you shut the hell up and leave youtube in a somewhat peacefull state, its people like you two that uin youtube for us all *breaks into tears* WHY CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?!??

  • @xXBerethorXx You shut the hell up, moron. Also, I get along fine with your mom.

  • @Weltall8000 example one of youtube trollers

  • @xXBerethorXx Kind of like yourself, right?

  • @Weltall8000 Explain to me how Weltall8000 is a troll. You only used that response on him because you dont know any other better way of a comeback besides randomly yelling at people. Nice try and gg.

  • @Weltall8000 and he keeps going, talk about no life.

  • @t5gnyaborar play TLS and you'll understand.

  • @NelloKobayashi How so? (I'm also not sure what the abbreviation is lol)

  • The more linear nature of the game probably is what makes other people say 'OMFG this sucks wtf i am 12 and what is this'. I agree that linear is not what FF is (i.e there is a lot of exploring outside of the story that can be done), and in that respect FFXIII is a little dissapointing - but that does not make it necessarily a bad game. At the most, a bad Final Fantasy game.

Still, this is some brilliant music.

  • @icepure9 weel ffx was linear too

maybe too linaer as ff 13 but every ff 13 is art and sublim to play to see and to listen

  • This is really bad quality

  • is uematsu still the writer for the songs??

  • @trucho500 No, and he was the composer. He quit after FFX I believe and has only come back to do Final Fantasy XIV's Soundtrack. =) From now on, Square-Enix have Takeharu Sakimoto and someone else for the composing.

  • @MegaEternalLife

and by that "someone" you mean the goddess called Yoko Shimimora? Am I riight? *axel quote*

  • So beautiful, never wanted the battle to end *tear*

  • Give me back Uematsu.

  • @Ragitsu Yet another nostalgic idiot who can't handle anything different. If you can't admit that this battle theme is fucking amazing I have nothing to say.

  • @yoyoyo88665

    "nostalgic idiot"

Yet another reactionary tween. Hey lookit me, lookit me!: I can make up stuff too.

  • @Ragitsu if you think that's something made up you're a complete idiot. Oh well, what should I expect from someone like you? Don't respond, go and dry hump your older FF games as well as Uematsu. Yes I have played every FF. Yes I still absolutely love FFXIII and I think Hamauzu is way better than Uematsu. Thanks.

  • @Ragitsu Go play Lost Odyssey. That's got Uematsu all over it.

  • @IfTheBannersFall

    What system(s) is it on?

  • @Ragitsu 360. I wish it were on PS3. I despise the 360, but I still played Lost Odyssey. It is absolutely mind-blowing. A few key members of Squaresoft (Uematsu, who did the music, and Sakaguchi, who did the directing of the old Final Fantasy games) defected and made the company 'Mistwalker', which developed and published Lost Odyssey. I implore you to at least try it if you can, it is absolutely fantastic and a definite throwback to old Final Fantasy games. Plus, Uematsu shines all over it.

  • @IfTheBannersFall Totally agree, I started playing Lost Odyssey because i accidentaly heard "A return Indeed (piano version)" and fell in love with it..

  • It's the kind of music you'd expect when you're underwater and fighting giant jellyfish.

  • Masashi Hamauzu is definately in my list of favorite soundtrack composers now. And FF13 is now on the list of my favorite game soundtracks ever. This tune is simply amazing! It's delicate and beautiful, yet flowing with so much energy. I hope he does more soundtracks in the future...
