  • I love his humility and the gorilla Teddy Rhiner could learn something from this quiet champion.

  • adore him!

  • dam...how proud would i be if i did win the olympic like he did

  • Well he have 3 concstructive olympics gold 1996 - 2004

  • Neil Adams is a terrible commentator, often getting the names of the techniques wrong, or getting over-excited about a fast entry rather than good throws. For a 6th Dan (or whatever he is now) he's crap at identifying the techniques in his chosen sport.

  • the raspy voice is annoting

  • AWESOME

  • you stole this from fighting films. YOu know ppl like you are making them have even more troubles with buisness.

  • @USAFIGHTER1 what?

  • 01:01 - 01:04 WOOOOOOHHHH SHIT man!!!! talk about power!!!!

  • I'd rather fight a bull with my bare hands and no clothe than meet that guy in square with pillows everywhere on my body

  • @Fenstor

tsheh!!! yoshihiro akiyama beat this guy

  • @TheDiamond123123 he probably cheated at the time though. Akiyama is a great fighter, but a great cheater as well.

  • @Fenstor

    cheat... how?

  • @TheDiamond123123 There's been a lot of complaints about his gi being slippery. theres a video here on youtube dedicated to that, and it surely looks like it is.

  • @Fenstor Oh please - the slippery gi ???????

  • @JoachimderZweite Akiyama Yoshihiro used softner (he left comment on Japanese TV show) to make gi slippery and was raised protests on world championship, 2003. After his move to MMA ring, there he made similar ridiculous stuff like putting skin oil all over his body so opponent couldn't even grab him. It clearly showed us he Is a shameful bastard.

  • @TheDiamond123123 Did Akiyama beat Nomura? Nomura is -60 kg and Akiyama is -81 kg and how did that happen?

  • for gods sake , what a beast

  • 4 me, best judo fighter ever. amazing judoka. listen the video, with the gladiator soundtrack music...inspiring!

    thank u 4 the video

  • Great uchi mata su gaeshi

  • i have an autograph from nomura!!!!

  • I remeber watching the 2003 worlds and I couldnt beleive that Nomura wasnt give the score for some of his throws. After though he lit up everyone on the backside.

  • What DVD is from, I can tell its fighting films cause of the narrator. I havent seen to many judoka's who frequent the sukashi more than uchimata. I'd say Nomura was the Jeon of Japan, low seoinages, and hes ambidextrous

  • probably from fighting films

  • its from the 2004 olympic judo dvd, i have it :)

  • nomura.

  • who are the best countries at judo??

  • I would say Japan, South Korea, Russia, Georgia, France, Brazil, Cuba.

Mind you, Azerbaijan seem to be very much on the up!

  • don't forget the netherlands ;)

  • I like Huizinga and Van Der Geest!!

  • wow, good technique...the best judoka :^_^

  • I got to train with him at SF State-- he's cool and friendly! Super light on his feet

  • Loved this!! I was a little disapointed that the video cut short at the end and didnt show Nomura's other 2 fights at the Athens olympics against Tsaganbaatar of Mongolia and the final against Khergiani of Georgia. But the content was awesome!

  • morote seoi nage is the best tecnique of NOMURA..he is the best judoka ever!!

  • やっぱスゲーわ野村。

  • One of the greatest Jyudoka in our era!

This is what we call the real Judo!

which not much seen in Beijing yet...

Actually what we are seeing in Beijing is

    wrestling...

  • yeah its taken of the fighting films DVD of the athens olympics. Brilliant DVD, nomura in the under 60s is amazing but the under 73s with lee and makarov is something else! worth buying the dvd just to see that!

  • True. Much of Judo's principal values has been diluted.

  • good compilation!
