Except that having an eighth of coke in your pocket wouldn't land you in federal prison. County Jail for 30-90 days sure but not prison. Threatening the Presidents daughter as well as his staff on the other hand...
And Josh has my vote for the badass of the year because of this. Charlie is awesome but Josh just makes this scene..'this is too good to be true'
@ZeDingoBlag It has nothing to do with who arrested them. It's the amount. I'm sure with the combination of the threatening the staff/zooey it could get them in serious trouble. But just having 1/8th of coke on you isn't a 1 year+ sentence, which is what prisons are used for. More like county jails for 30 days-6mo. But combining the drug charge with threatening the Presidents daughter and WW staffers....he could do time easily.

Gotta love all the politically correct mind games here... 3 racist misogynistic white guys--clear douche bags--are schooled by the righteous might of a polite and justified armed government.... right right.... No conditioning for the sheeple here!
Not that it's important to the scene, but I just figured out recently (yes, years after the fact) that the first jackass to approach Zoey, the one in the green plaid, was also Jesse, Xander and Willow's best friend in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I was hoping to see the WHOLE bar scene but there's a GREAT part missing here! Just before Zoey makes her way up to the bar, both she and Mallory give Sam a hard time about his "special" friend. CJ and Josh weigh in on it too... Funny stuff.
These are approximately the least threatening, most out-of-touch honkys they could possibly have come up with. "Doctor Huffy Puffy Dread man, Doctor Doolittle"? I almost begin to feel sorry for these guidos
This kinda goes along with the phrase that Toby lays down in the RELIGIOUS SMACKDOWN scene when one of the theological men says "show the avarage teenage male a condom and his thoughts turn to lust", and then Toby says "show the average teenage male a LUG WRENCH and his thoughts turn to lust".
Which is probably very true for half of all of them.
I agree with 722 treered great scene with great performances west wing was one of the best shows ever west wing is irreplaceable and shall be legendary and great forever and never forgotten
haha this is what happens if you don't watch the news, so you don't know what the president's kids look like, so you accidentally hit on them, then end up being accosted by the secret service.
I can think of a few times when it woulda been really sweet to have a couple or four Secret Service agents come take care of some jerks in a bar for me :)
Have you ever heard the term "shoot first, ask questions last"? That's what they have the right to do. They just choose efficiency over recklessness. The don't draw their weapons in without the intention of squeezing off a few rounds. You'll be lucky if they give you a chance to surrender once they establish a threat.
Any secret service agent who guns down three unarmed college students in a crowded bar (guaranteeing injury to bystanders and the first daughter) would be shown the door so fast he'd have whiplash. Also they wouldn't come in the door saying "Federal Agent" they'd come in saying "Secret Service"...
That's what I meant by them being efficient and not being reckless and trigger happy. I did find it strange they didn't identify themselves as Secret Service.
First off, they're protecting the First Daughter. And the reason they came in was because Josh pressed the First Daughters's "Panic Button". They'd have to assume she's in trouble. Hence, coming in with guns drawn would be an appropriate response.
And stating "Federal Agents" would be more likely to be used. If they came in saying "Secret Service", people are likely to put 2 and 2 together and realize there's a high profile person inside. And they are Federal Agents.
That's like saying that the guys delivering your mail can say "Federal Agents"...they are Federal employees. Having been around the secret service I can promise you they identify themselves as that or "Treasury" Agents....
Well, yes, postal workers are federal employees, but hardly AGENTS. :)
I don't even know why we're nitpicking it... It's a TV show. We could nitpick that the Presidents limo on the show is a standard limo - I've seen episodes where they open the back door. Have you seen the back door on the REAL Presidential limo? The thing's a foot thick!
I think that in the episode where Charlie was hired, Josh is asking if it would be ok to hire him and mentions to Leo that Charlie is 22 years old but put off college to take care of his little sister
Thanks. That's aside from the federal charges of unlawful restraint when they wouldn't let Zoey get through. Unlawful Restrain is a lesser included felony of kidnapping and the fact the three of them participated in it makes it conspiracy as well.
