  • is the one with the glasses on the right Andrew Rogers??

  • why uncertainty in the horns up?

  • watch his posture break down right when he hits it, thats how insane that note is

  • One person is a 3rd trumpet player haha

  • whats the tuba part? D: my ears suck >.<

  • @kaseyWtrumpet.. Actually all leads at BD play on a CG3 which is not to shallow. And victor Averos the short screamer hardly uses any pressure I know this cause I marched with him.

  • Mmm, sounds like pressure and a lead piece.

  • scott hall behind them. SouthernMissToTheTop

  • Do they have valve trombones or none at all?

  • @OthaBean Marching Baritone and euphoniums. for this show year i think they only used marching euphoniums though

  • @yunolks3 I probably sound really ignorant, but what's the difference between marching baritones and marching euphoniums?

  • @theaws0m3guy

The same for concert baritones and concert euphoniums, the euphounium has a deeper and richer sound. its a must for brass ensembles, and plus, euphoniums can acheive the edgy brassy sound a lot easier.

  • Do most corps usually use euphoniums and baritones?

  • @yunolks3 Thanks

  • of course you'd be sitting right in front of the screamers. best part is the smallest guy nailing that note and hangover at the end. little guy's got some range jeez.

  • Victors full name is victor Averos I marched with him in 08 I'm a screamer victor has crazy natural talent

  • Outrageous strength with inscrutible malice...

You guys are definitely going to Heaven..

  • wow really nice you guys are very talented

  • im a tuba player from wyoming, michigan and right now idk if i want to continue my marching band career onto drum corps but if i were i'd like to maybe try out for blue devils. Right now i play Sousaphone but i'd be willing to switch to a contra for this only thing is im about 5'11 235 pretty close to 6'0 lol idk if i could take the camp. is it as intense as everyone makes it out to be?

  • @falloutboy7778

Dude is not matter of stature of anything like that. its all about the love of music. Drum Corp is intense and it took a lot out of me but i still did 3 years and i found out a lot about what type of person i am and i became a stronger individual aside from being a better percussionist. Try it and if you make and go thru with it. its a life experience

  • seriously, i was thinking about marching drum corps next year. i think im a very good marcher, which my directors have very plainly told me i am, and i am a very decent player. but there is no way after hearing this. and your directors dont mind all that movement? lol ours would have a hayday haha. nicely played though

  • @xxdkthxx Then fucking do it.

  • goooooooooooooo trumpets they rock /// also i play the trumpet in the local marching band

  • Ah man you were in the USM lot with the brass line! I was with the percussion the whole time. I would have killed to be the circle!

  • what is victor's full name?

  • Im loving that sexy contra at the beginning.

  • yea thats sick..i just wish you could hear it better on field.

  • holy shit

  • @gatorsbrianz: Dude, you're doing MARCHING BAND NOW. Pick-up a G/F# BUGLE, NOT A TRUMPET, and lip your notes instead of valving them. By the way, do what your doing WITHOUT A GENERATOR, like the OLD DAYS. Historic note to you all: MOVEMENT in drum and BUGLE corps began in 1977, BAYONNE BRIDGEMEN in the east, and the SEATTLE IMPERIALS in the west. Blue Devils, Phantom, and the rest scoffed at movement and theatrics back then...look at you all now. your PRESENT started back THEN.

  • @eweteweber u mad

  • Nope, a Blue Devils FAN. Old friend of Bonnie Ott and the late Jim Ott. Check your history. Id rather be a sore LOSER, than a sore LOOSER, like you.

  • Video evidence doesn't lie...cats doing it in practice do it on the field. Maybe your instructors and todays' judges just don't care enough in this day and age. Oh, that's right, you guys don't MARCH anymore, it all about movement, in step or NOT! Lucky the execution caption no longer exists, you'd get killed for that.

  • May be you are a sore looser or You a Phantom Fan

  • It's a sad day when staying in step is SECONDARY and of MINOR importance to to an activity that once PRIDED itself on precision and accuracy. There WERE guys back in the day that screamed dbl C's on G bugles in their sleep! Current Devils still sound good, just can't march.

  • Can't march....rrrriiigghhhttttt.........

  • @eweteweber Can't march? Drum corps back before 1990 was marching band, they didn't even move. Good luck trying to do what we do now old timer.

  • @gatorsbrianz you should probably stop talking smack....i heard you kinda sucked at BD last year

  • Who needs mark time when you can scream like Vic :)

  • 0:16-0:24 DJ YOUR OFF STEP!!!! PUSH UPS!!!! hahahaha xD love you man no homo

  • By MS, do you mean Mississippi? Or Missouri?

  • This is the closer isnt it?

  • third mvmt

  • What a wall of sound! I feel like I could get thrown to the ground.

  • I know its a double A. but the last note the lead Sop hungover. whats the fingering? 12?

  • 3 cause it's easier to do

  • thank you :D i can hit the double g then i can skip up to a double c but cant climb up to there. :/

    but practice makes perfect :)

  • @leevil those high A's are easier to sustain fingering 3. easier to keep in tune.

  • When?

  • @leevil right out of the womb...

  • @leevil Haha Maynard played "Give It One" countless times and there were double A's in that towards the end.

Anywhos, why is it easier to do with 3? I mean, it can be done with any fingerings. But I've gravitated towards using 3 as well for my double A. Not sure why though...

  • @tyler2484 and MacArthur park

  • @jerec576 wrong good sir, Maynard plays what he wants when he wants. Even from the grave Maynard could kill a double c easy.

  • No, he didnt. I can get that and im only in highschool. Maynard could play a double C and make it look easy.

  • @jerec576 Your retarded maynerd can play an octave+ 7 whoel steps above that go look up gospel john..

  • @jerec576 Yea When he was 5

  • @jerec576 wtf! thats his favorite note!

  • @lolz989 Is it not characteristic of jazz trumpet playing for the lead player to hangover? I am pretty sure it is and fits this moment well

  • @lolz989 you can do eith 1and2 or 3 but really when you get that high up, you can pretty much finger it anyway. lol

  • @lolz989 it doesnt really matter at that range lol

  • this is what ill be against when I audition for Phantom Regiment

  • Wow, way to represent.

  • why is this getting bad ratings, my comment I mean? I didn't say anything offensive

  • idk man but thats funny

  • awesome

  • i agree go victor!!

  • its actually I've Got Rhythm

  • thats my buddy dj!!!!!!!!!

    4th guy in

  • very nice Double A! That new new lead Sop is great!

  • the trumpet section is the soprano voice of this ensemble.. great vid btw!

  • fabulous. =)

  • I Love it!! So on point!

  • Hahaha, right in front of the screaming trumpets.

  • @QFMercury Best seat in the house man!

  • yeah i know why it wasnt thats why i said i understand why haha.....he's no scott dean but neither am i haha

  • Ahh, love the loud buzzing brass sound in the morning, wakes me up

  • BEAST!

  • yeah he stuck that....i wish it was like that on field but i understand why it wasn't

  • i agree..great lead players this year but it seemed like they didnt have a big part in the show :(

  • damn....now thats a sop section!

  • you mean "tru" section. sops are extinct.

  • go victor!

  • im right next to you
