Yes it was. He recorded an album called "Ol' Yellow Eyes Is Back" back in '88, then re-released in '91. I purchased a copy of it when I went to a Star Trek convention but it was later stolen when my house got broken into. He is a very talented singer, and actor...my all-time favorite Star Trek character.
