  • Great moustache but you have to wonder, how did the audience in a TOTP show manage to dance to a piece of music like that other than the occasional head bobbing or twisting of the body?

  • This guy never had a lesson in his life . He developed his own unique style

  • It's only one great track from his 'progressive folk' trilogy. Visionary, Perilous Journey, Fear of the Dark. All 3 have the same great production - synths, drums, orchestra and of course guitar!

  • Its a testament to gordon giltraps talent that an acoustic instrumental made TOTP and the charts

  • They used it on a TYNE TEES telly production also featuring dudes going down rapids in canoes it may well have been the first 45 I ever bought

  • Unclemaximus, it was the theme tune for 'The Holiday Show' an ideal choice in my opinion.

  • any ideas what tv program this was the intro for ????

  • @unclemaximus

this was the themetune to a kids program called Chatterbox I do believe that came on in the 70's

Chatterbox - 1977 on ITV (Anglia) GAME SHOW WITH (good grief) schools taking part. CHRIS KELLY presided over two teams of “kids”, each taking it in turns to “chatter” about a given subject. Then they were judged by the celebrity panel, which, given it was an Anglia show, featured NICHOLAS PARSONS alongside (naturally) GYLES BRANDRETH and JENNY HANLEY.

  • heard it on the radio today....good songs in those days
