Ok, so, first thing, How the bejesus is this suppost to work in heavy sea? You can bearly anchor crank in heavy sea using bog standard techniques, So theres no way this is going to work. Second, not evey ship has a moon pool, so To use this Companies are going to have to replace ships etc. Third, most moon pools that i've come accross are internal, not external, and nowere near the main anchor winch. In short, good thinking, shit idea.

Is it heave compensated? The moon pool has no damping zone in this case but is still good to explore the new possibilities for this highly risk operation.
