But further study showed that the Komodo Dragon does in fact have its own venom. Komodos and alligators both have about the same amount of bacteria in their mouths, the reason animals and people who escape from gators usually survive is because alligators aren't venomous, but those bitten by komodos usually die because komodos are venomous
