Agreed. But the new 32g without wheels are the WORST cans they've ever made. I've seen MANY broken and falling apart within a matter of months under normal use.
Ah I see you've got a new green Brute. I saw the new design of the 44 gallon one @ The Home Depot. I also liked the blue Continential Huskee, is it for trash, yard waste, or recycling? Nice vid.
Yup, The new 44 gallon Brutes look cool. That blue one is actually a White Gator, and was used by Disney. I just keep it on my back porch for any recyclables that I have there.
Yea I saw one at Target yesterday and almost got it. I wish Rubbermaid still made those cans in a variety of colors, so that every store had a different color...
Hmmm... Well I definitely think that Rubbermaid is the best brand for manual cans. I really like the Brutes, and the round 32 gallon Roughnecks. I also like the 45 gallon Rectangular Rubbermaid, and the 20 gallon round Rubbermaid. What are your favorites?
@RainbowDisposal I know lol I was just messing around, I remember the first time I saw them at HD I thought the non wheeled ones looked bad and not like they could hold up to my use, but I wanted the wheeled one (and still kinda do) I am susprised they have not killed the 20g design yet
I love those toter brand trash toter can. we have those here at one of the city's where they get automated collection. RUBERMAID IS THE BEST. i always buy rubermaid and i have some vids but i havent posted the vids yet but there awesome. great video
Cool vid! Never understood why they say 'close lid before moving cart' there, perfectly easy to move it with the lid opened as long as you hold it close against the cart! Maybe some people aren't that smart?! lol!! The aluminum bin @ 1:31 almost looks like one you'd find in a park or something...did you STEAL it???? jk :) Loved the darker Brute at 2:45 + those square bins--were they also Brutes? Anyways appreciated the post, I'll be making one like this soon w/ all my manual bins :D
Yea I guess not. The people that need that are the same ones that expect a garbage pickup when their street is under 2 feet of water. That one is the same size as the ones in parks and stuff, they use those on the beaches in the next county over, but I did not steal it lol. I also like the green Brute, something different from the gray ones that you see commonly. The square cans came withe a lawn mower that no longer works, so I took the cans to use for yard waste!
I thought I just posted another comment here... stupid YT guess it lost it. Just want to say that I HATE metal cans... they are hard to dump and heavy... I use to toss them in the truck at AAA... just so I wouldn't have to deal with them.
The Rubbermaid can at 1:40 is probably the BEST on the market, easy to dump and lasts just as long as cans that cost twice as much.... the only down side to them is that they get holes really easy in the bottom.
Yea they can be a beast to move, very heavy sometimes. They're also very LOUD. I only use them for really light trash(usually yard waste) and when my other cans are full. I like those Rubbermaid cans also. That one was purchased 10 years ago when I lived in Georgia, we used it for about a year then RobSan/ Republic decided that they weren't going to collect anything not in their cart. We then used it for storage until we moved here 8 years ago and used it for yard waste until a few months ago.
u collect cones!?!? i do too hahah i have a bunch of em. but my parents made me get rid of all the 28 inch cones so now i only have 12 and 18 inch cones.
LOL, I started collecting them when I was like 12... actually I like most things you can find in an urban environment. I've got several road signs probably more than 20, 2 traffic signals, more than 20 traffic cones, an unused "channelizer drum" - its an orange construction barrel, dozens of barricade lights and other random stuff... my wife puts up with it so I'm good! lol Actually she bought me a new 36 inch lime green cone for xmas a couple years back.
Last time I counted... more than 20... I know I have 4 36" cones in the house... the rest are in storage. There's probably like 8 small 18" cones in the trunk of my car.
thts awesome

Depends by their size:
40ish: 45 Gallon Roughneck with Rubber Tread Wheels
30ish: 32 Gallon Brute both gray and green, 34 Gallon Mighty-Tuff from Lowes, 32 gallon Roughneck 3rd style(Not Newest)
20ish: Brute, Roughneck, 26 gallon Roughneck.

TO ALAN: You forgot about the 32 gallon Mighty-Tuff cans without wheels from Lowes. They're just as good as the Rubbermaids.

Ya so do I... those came from the trash and I have a few more that I found at the landfill
GatorJake12 2 years ago
Yep it's amazing how many cones end up in the garbage, I found a few big ones and a ton of little ones in people's trash cans on my routes.
