  • Amazing work, definitely want to follow my path as a Perfusionist. This outcome is utmost motivation.

  • @persy1983 Thanks for the kind comment. Perfusionists are a special breed of dedicated professionals, and I have the utmost respect for the work they do. Good luck in your journey. Sincerely, Redmond Burke

  • I have TOF and I had my third surgery 3 yrs ago now and I remember waking up and having tubes in my lungs then I had to get up and walk to a chair then back to the bed, anyway I digress, I remember waking up and seeing my chest and new scar that was glue mixed with blood..

  • @MrBFlakes I hope you are recovering well, it sounds like you are a very determined and brave person. You are certainly an inspiration to other patients with this problem. You have my respect, and my prayers. Sincerely, Redmond Burke MD

  • Amazing. Truly inspirational (especially as a 2nd year med student in our cardio module)!!

  • my baby sis had TOF with absent PV

  • @DavidsMommyMaby I hope your baby sister with TOF/APV is doing well. TOF/APV is very different from TOF/AVC, but both of these congenital heart defects are best repaired at high volume congenital heart surgery centers. The center closest to your home might not be a high volume center of excellence, so you need to do some rigorous background checking. Or you can ask me. I hope your sister is doing well.

    sincerely,

    redmond burke md

  • This is a complex combination, Tetralogy of Fallot and Atrioventricular Canal. This child has a great recovery.
