I love the conductor, good to see enthusiasm, though how can you not show it when conducting a work of art such as this. Anyone know why they didn't do the full peace? Im pretty sure there is more too it.
@ SexYliCioUsAsh08 -- Thanks, I just checked out the Baylor video. All the s's are overly emphasized, but otherwise it is good. My favorite performance, actually, was recorded many years ago by The Philadelphia Orchestra with the Rutgers University Choir. Eugene Ormandy was the conductor.
1:53 "Sors salutis et virtutis mihi nunc contraria est affectus et defectus semper in angaria. Hac in hora sine mora corde pulsum tangite; quod per sortem sternit fortem, mecum omnes plangite!"
@drunknmunky12212 Ignorance is bliss XD.... did you know that the lyrics of this poem mean a complain for how the fortune is variable and the life is dark... that's so funny if itwhat you want to express in yout entry in stage lol
Excellent. This is the finest rendition of "O Fortuna" which I have found on YouTube thus far. But it would be better to pronounce the Latin "soft c" as in modern Italian, that is, like the English "ch" sound. The "ts" pronunciation of the Latin "soft c" sounds like an affectation. Of course classical Latin had no "soft c," but these texts were composed by German university students in the medieval period.
WOW 1 dislike May be the person who clicked it must be a FAGGOT :P
