If there was ever an amp that could sound like Metallica, be solid state, and cost only $300, I'd buy that shit in a heartbeat. And honestly, Kirk and James have THOUSANDS of dollars of gear, and even they don't sound like Metallica anymore.

I have this amp as well, but there is somethin I dont understand. When I use my ltd esp ec-1000 on it the clean sound is not clean, when I use my other second hand guitar on it it sounds fucking clean, but on this guitar there are 4 buttoms to turn, on my esp just 3 one is for reverb.

I would suspect like most solid state amps it probably sounds pretty damn good at lower volumes which is ok for home use. really good demo though

2 most important things of this amp...beautifull bad ass tube feeling clean but ! the worst distortion ever built in randall amps, im realy sad because this wonderfull amp with killing clean has so crappy distortion...but its frendly with pedals, my second guitar in my band has this amp and he uses Digitech metal master , with that pedal , this amp is completly IN metallica tones, from heaven to hell too...and almost forget, the best rewiev of this amp on youtube ..tnx bro.
