  • Wtf hot girls cant be gay

  • We actually had a very similar experience. My parent's reactions were almost the same. My dad just kind of sat there, nodded his head, and said "okay". My mom never said it, but she alluded to the idea that it was a phase. Then, after I told them, by Dad came upstairs, gave me a big hug and said "You're my son, and I still love you, no matter what".

I'm happy that you had a good reaction, not all can. I have a guy in my class that can't tell his parents as they're wicked conservative.

  • Can you help me? please:)

  • I love the idea of coming out on camera. That way people can see the real deal when thinking about how they'll do it instead of listening to a coming out story.

  • you are loved and accepted as you are :) stay strong.

  • I love how your dad is just kicking back saying "It's okay." Your dad took it way better than my dad is going to take it. My mom I'm sure will be okay but my dad will flip for a while asking questions like your mom.

  • i told my grandma i was bi and she told me it's just a phase too. :/

  • @iluvhopandballet don't worry Hun! You'll be okay soon enough!! Stay strong❤

  • OMG! why don't u speak fucking croatian with ur parents!!! such a disappointment!

  • aww you're so cute (:

  • You are so brave!! Cudos

  • You got an awesome dad! I love his attitude!

  • Congratz and i cant believe your mom answered the phone.

On a side note ...... this was a very dramatic video ....... :O , I feel good for you because you can now be yourself around your parents ohhhhhh also linked to smallville cos clark can't be himself around people .... ohhhhhhhh lol , im being a dick now

    PEACE.

  • That went a lot like mine, I chose a day, not like a specific date, just "today's the day" and I waited all evening til just before i was about to leave to go home to my house and then got all emotional just like that and blurted it out amongst tears. My dad told me he loves me and then went for a bath and my mum was like "yeah I knew" and the weight was lifted like IMMEDIATELY :)

  • Wow...I seriously felt nervous for you. So proud that you did this!

  • Aw, I cried when you did, you are really brave!

  • Gays are good at web design, true fact.

  • Mate, none of us can think straight :P

  • Your parents....My god they annoyed me throughout the entire thing. You got guts

  • !I HAVE THE SAME RINGTONE AS YOU!

  • wow. that takes real guts to be able to come out to both of your parents at the same time! i have so much respect for you. i wish i could come out to my parents right now but..............ima bit of a coward . but back to the point i have hella respect!!!!!

  • Wow. I totally wish I was you...

  • I love you! You're a brave and amazing girl and I hope your mom comes to fully understand you. <3

  • lesbians rock gays suck

  • @unyxe ritterally because lesbians do..censored things and gays suck...censored things

  • & Check out poetry by Andrea Gibson & Curve Magazine! :) Anywhere and everywhere that you can get support, do it!

  • I just want to say GOOD FOR YOU GIRL! Being true to yourself is the number one! I came out to my parents a couple years ago and they are still not supportive, luckily I have amazing friends and womyn in my life who are my heroes and mentors. If you ever need any supportive words or have any questions, hit me up. I dont want to play into the stereotypes, but during some of my hardest times, music helped me out - Ani Difranco, Brandi Carlile, Angelique Kidjo, Melissa Etheridge - all lesbians.

  • Omg when u started crying I started crying!!! Ur mom seemed like a bitch

  • Your mom seemed pretty pissed about it...

  • This is so amazing

    you are too adorable ;w;

    You're so brave

  • You're adorable. :-)

  • i am a lesbian trapped in a mans body

  • Aww this video made me cry!3 :')

  • Your really someone young people can look up to! You are really brav and loved watching your video :)

  • This broke my heart!<3

Just the fact that you cried.

I got kicked out when I came out to my parents <33

  • Ure very lucky! My mum sorta knows that I'm gay, I mean 2 years ago I hinted at it and cos of her I'm bk in the closet only with her and the rest of my family! She threatens to kick me out if ever I come out nd that she ll never accept me as her daughter! Everyday she just drills with preaches!(she s bloody too religious)! I also hv no support watsoever from my dad! :(

  • -3!!!!!

  • My heart goes out for you hon. <3 Your parents love you always no matter what. I'm waiting for college as well to come out to my dad because I KNOW he'll kick me out of the house anyways. My mom already knows and she wouldn't talk to me for a good 2 months until she decided it was just a "phase".

  • What am i watching?

  • did anyone else check their facebook at 2:40

  • bloody typical, why does the phone ALWAYS ring during serious moments?

good for you for coming out. i was never blessed with homosexuality myself :(

  • This is a really sweet video. :-) I didn't get a chance to officially come out to my parents. One of my friend's parents called my parents and told them.

  • I wish you weren't gay I mean oh man.

  • oh gosh hunny you have so much strength <3 i love you :] amazing

  • @modshroom Did you WATCH the video? She's gay.....

  • She came out on my birthday. :)

  • I LOVE this video! :) I decided to wait until I was a little older too to come out so I'd be taken more seriously. I came out to my parents like a year ago during my senior year of high school. Watching the beginning of your video and right before you told them, I could tell exactly how you were feeling because I had the same pang of fear in my stomach! It might be/have been a little hard for your parents but it's so clear how much they love you! GOOD FOR YOU! :)

and btw, you are SO pretty!

  • your adorable:)

  • i was worried for years, but my family already knew and were thrilled when i finally came out. haha. guess i was lucky.

  • I got really emotional when I told my mother, but after a couple of days I could really see how it strengthened our relationship. My dad actually was really really suprisingly calm when he found out ( I'm a guy by the way ). Congratulation to you though. It's a very hard thing to do. Those 2 words were the hardest I had ever admitted

  • So typical! One parent is like ok whatever and the other is having a meltdown. Lol at your mom answering the phone... WHERE ARE YOUR PARENTS FROM?!?!!??

  • I think I'd rather tell my parents I am gay than to tell them I'm knocked up by a guy whom I had a one night stand with (which I did).

  • In the first part you looked as though you where as nervous as i was when telling my parents.

  • Wow, I felt like I was watching a short film. Congratulations, you were very brave. Thank you for sharing your video, it's inspired me a bit more. :)

  • 2:42 lol I went to go see if I had facebook open.

  • You are such an inspiration! I was crying in moments during the video, it really hit home. I am so proud for you and you seem to be an amazing and humble person. Wishing you all the best and thanks from the bottom of my soul. Love all the way from Australia.

  • Wow this is kind of exactly like how I came out...well except my mom snooped on my computer. But yeah thats how the conversation with my parents went. Congratulations! Oh and my dad is Croatian so I especially loved the shirt your dad was wearing :)

  • Haha, no you're definitely not thinking straight ;)

  • jeez bad time to answer the phone!!!! but how inspring what you did =)

  • awww stupid phone >:(

  • omg ur thumbnail made you look like jenna marbles!

  • wow... even i was feeling nervous for you. Congrats! hope your family's fine with you being gay now :) ... your mum didn't look too happy in the video

  • at 9:50 i know its not like as bad but i know how you feel cause i just told my sister im gay before anyone else in my family while she was drivin me to my mom's house and it was like a 15 or 20 minute drive and i was shakin when i got to my mom's and could barley get my shoes off, she was cool with it she said "i like guys too" and started talkin about her new boyfriend and asked if i thought he was cute... GOD it was awkward! glad she was that cool about it :D

  • I checked my Facebook at 02:45. :D:D:D:D:D

  • youre sooo sweet baby. proud of you! kisses from greece.

  • At 8:00 : "How do you know you like girls?" "How do you know that you're straight?" LOVE it. =]

  • Best coming out video ever! You even used the " How did you know you were straight." Watching this video brought back so many memories of coming out, so proud of all my gays when I see this stuff!!

  • Girl,im 13 girl from greece and im so confused about my choise... How did u know u were les?

  • @giannadimou you just feel it baby. to niwtheis. apla mhn biasteis se tipota. take your time little girl.

  • You're super brave!

  • Yay!!! Congrats!!!

Its such a weight lifted, isn't it? My parents thought it was a "phase" also. Four years later.......I'm still gay. Lol. The first few months after I told them I was gay was really awkward, but it eventually becomes a more comfortable topic.

    So happy for you!

  • "My brother is just... weird!" LOL

  • I love how you mum goes to get the phone haha, and its good they seem interested and ask questions about it, thanks for posting this, it gives me courage :) x

  • You are much braver than i am! I love your dad's Croatian shirt!!!

  • I love how your dad just keeps eating and says "that's ok"

epic dad is epic i guess

  • @Siena: I sent you a message with a few words I had to say, but they were much to long to post here. Just a heads up!

  • @OwnedIRLK Thank you so much! You are so incredibly kind. ~ Siena

  • god damnit, you're gay? but you're so hot :(

  • @airgilbert god damnit, you're not gay? but you're so dumb :)

  • haha im also studying in UCLA....support!!!

  • My coming out was a bit stupid - I sent an overly dramatic email to my parents before I went to school, and when I came home my parents were freaked out not that I was gay, but that I was going commit suicide or something since my email was way over the top.

  • im glad you recorded that! congratulations

=] oh and DAMN THAT PHONE FOR RINGGING!!!

  • im glad you recorded that! congratulations

    =]

  • @BREADSCATAHOULAS Being gay is independent of parenting. I'm sure environment has SOME impact, but I know for me, I've been gay since 1993! I can't imagine any way my parents could have raised me better. I love them both very much & they love me regardless of who I'm sexually & emotionally attracted to. Disappointment is a natural reaction, but who someone loves is so out of your control. And hey, we're talking about love here, disappointment & feeling like a failure plus love is NOT a good mix!

  • @BREADSCATAHOULAS

I feel sorry for you. Not everyone thinks the way that you do. Granted, when I told my mother I was gay she was upset. But she still loves me. My family does as well. I feel sorry for people that have calling gays disappointments.

Congrats on your coming out. Its hard, but like the slogan goes... It gets better.

  • When I told my mom I was gay she went crazy. Cried and said it was just a phase. Its been 4 years since I've told her... Yiup, still gay. My mom got over it and loves me. My family is very supportive! After I told everyone, I felt relieved.

  • @BREADSCATAHOULAS i dont think you realize how offensive what you said sounded its like you said that youd be dissapointed if your kids were gay

  • So you think that if your kids use drugs and drank alot, its same to be gay? I dont understand why you should be dissapointed its his/her own life. And if he/she is happy to be gay its great. The importent are that they are happy not what they are gay! Ihave a lot of gay friends and I dont care if they are gay, I only want them to be happy :)

  • @BREADSCATAHOULAS Your a failure.

  • @BREADSCATAHOULAS HEY FUCK YOU MY DAD ABUSED ME FOR A SHITLOAD FOR BEING GAY I WOULDN'T CHOOSE TO BE GAY IF IT WAS A CHOICE CAUSE OF ALL THE BULLSHIT GAYS ARE FORCED TO GO THROUGH.

  • Awesome! Congratulations! You'll have to make an update!

  • Mom saved by the bell. But only temporarily.

  • That was very brave of you, you said embarrassing and you definitely shouldn't have felt that way, it takes a lot of courage.

  • This is beautiful. Hey, you go to UCLA? That's cool, you're like 10 minutes from my house! Haha. This was very brave of you, and I'm glad we got to share the experience with you.

  • Oh man :( I just about cried. I was hoping someone would've given you a hug when you started crying, but I'm glad your dad finally gave you one later :,)

  • Bravo!!!!! I applaud you!!!!

  • your parents took it better than my mom. but im glad you did it. :)

  • thumbs up from Croatia! :)

  • @SanjaSvakiDan YAY! Ajmo Hrvatska! haha, did you see my dad's Croatian flag t-shirt? typical.

  • @toGOtoOuterSpace Ajmooo :D hahaha it's a cool shirt :))

  • @toGOtoOuterSpace Bravo! Croatian Gays unite!!!

  • ya i was shaking too... i think thats its all the built up stress that you had... but great job

  • Very inspiring....

  • Great Job! Your family did just the right thing. It is hard to put this kind of news in perspective immediately. They asked a few questions and did not over react. After taking time to process, they told you the most important thing. They love you and it does not matter what your sexuality is. Ours hats are off to you and your family.

  • @TheRandomlyChildish aaw, you're sweet. thanks!

  • You should be so proud of yourself for doing that! Stay strong don't let people tell you you're not perfect the way you are. Greetings from Sweden! :)

  • @Kattrullator Sweden! Awesome! Wanna go there so bad!! And thank you. That means a lot.

  • that took sooo many guts, i know its hard and keep strong <3

  • this was awesome! my mom reacted the same way as your mom, and your dad is lovely he took it well (: so proud and happy for ya

  • @CityTooCity ahaha yeah I watched your coming out pt.1 vid (whatever happened to pt.2 btw??) and I totally copied your line "how do you know you're straight?" : ) Haha thanks!

  • @toGOtoOuterSpace hahaha yeahh im still need to do part 2 lol thats really funny you took my line ha and no probs glad it helped (:

  • Congratulations.

You kinda look like your mother...

    (i like hair like that,lol)

  • @pandaapine Thank you! And yeah, i get that a lot. We have the same hair hah.

  • p.s. you did wonderful! I am so proud of you, Friend

  • Your dad is amazing

  • @lovelyways74 He is. SosoSO lucky.

  • That was beautiful. Congratulations.

  • @lashed5 Thank you so much! : )

  • best video ever i want to come out but im sacred :(

  • @lucklyclover58 DONT BE SCARED! I havent came out either but a lot of my friends have and they all said just be yourself and if they have a problem with it then screw them. Im only 14 so i am going to do it next school summer which is in like 7 months so when i go into high school i will be okay. :). Just be yourself.

  • @lucklyclover58 YOU CAN DO IT. And it's so true that once you do, you feel so much better. Scared shitless is exactly how I felt in case you couldn't tell. I'm certainly no expert, but if you EVER need any help/advice/positive thinking please let me know!

  • wow this vid is awesome :D ,major props to you for having the courage to come out to your parents and congrats ^_^ i'm glad to see that your parents are pretty accepting of it, i'm 17 and starting senior year of high school and i have no clue when i want to come out to my folks ahh lol

really happy for you and woo :D

  • @DavoJade Oh boy! Senior yearrr. Do you have any idea how your parents would react? Are you out to friends? Feel free to message me if you want! It definitely takes a lot of planning (esp. if you plan on catching it on film!). oh, and a LOT of GUTS. But it's been two days now, and it's starting to feel a bit better. : )

  • @toGOtoOuterSpace My parents probably wouldn't take it too well. I dont think they'd go as far as shunning me Lol but my relationship with my parents might go down hill :/ They were born and raised in China so they have like a more traditional/stricter attitude towards these things. I'm like part of the first generation in America in my family haha. And yeah I'm out to some close friends :) and thanks! :D I'll be sure to keep your offer in mind =]

  • @DavoJade Totally understandable. Definitely consider telling them when you're financially independent and on your own. It's 100% up to you. And cool! I'm first gen American too. (My parents are from Croatia.)

  • @toGOtoOuterSpace Good idea :] I probably will tell them when I'm financially independent. Awesome :D WOO to us and other first generation Americans lol =)
