  • Masterpiece.

  • Get any music on Mediaoutletonline. Simplly search it on Gooogle =)

  • some of this sounds like Johnny Marr on "Please Please Please..." -- that wonderful Smiths song.

  • I'll search all comments of all versions of this progression, but in the meantime, can any of you either give me this chord progression in tab form or send me a link for same? I need tab form because my ear and theory skills are not great, but my strum hand is excellent and wants so much to feel this great great song. Thank you, PM!!

  • he plays a baritone guitar

  • I can listen to this song over and over and over and over.........

  • @BiorythmicDrifter meee tooooo

  • Pat, es único. Magnífico en su interpretación y composición. Música con MAYÚSCULAS!!

  • Otra genialidad del maestro Pat Metheny.

  • Pat Metheny.... amazing guitarist, amazing song!

  • What's the tuning??

  • A-D-G-C-E-A half Nashville Tuning

What is the scale on the Bari? 27 ¾"

"E and A" (two lowest are bass strings)

so in this case the lower A and D strings are bass strings. Manzer Guitar

  • pat, el mejor guitarrista en su genero

    bravo !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • inmenso pat a la acústica!

  • For those interested: This piece isn't as easy to cover as it sounds, since it is in a different guitar tuning (Nashville with variations, see the booklet of "One quite night"). Also, it's played with a different guitar (listen for the deep basstones). There's a songbook with TABS available.

  • Solo una parola: Pazzesco!!!

  • tell it like it is pat!

  • This piece has always amazed me. He sounds like a complete band. I thought it would be great to adapt to an ensemble, but then, the magic of it is the very fact that he produces larger-than-life passion and belts it out by himself. This piece lifts my spirits every time I hear it. I feel whole and triumphant. IF I played guitar, this would be the first piece I'd work out, without even a doubt. I'd play it loud, and until my fingers bled.

  • Does it exist a score of this piece???

  • Your comment fails.

  • To chart?(me laughing)

  • me laughs at you *it ends up being a better laugh than your laughing*

  • what the fuck man? he is american...whats wrong with being american?? he had just as much say in it as you with whatever the fuck you are. We are human, we are what we are. if you're comment was a joke, fair enough. if you were at all serious, please recontemplate things right now, thats just rediculous.

  • Why are you overreacting? We are not world leaders(that's when every word counts). I just noticed that Pat wears snicker more often than any other musician I know, that's all. And I live in US now too, and I intend to stay!

  • why are all so serious about this lol, hf

  • No idea :P

  • a true masterpiece from a true master.

  • Smth like that.

  • passion!!

  • very expresive

  • what an amazing piece of music.

  • That's great!!!

    One of my favourites...

  • This is actually what i call a song. It inspires me

  • For me, there's Pat Metheny and then there's everyone else. Read what he has said at various Berklee graduations. The guy is incredibly well-spoken. Just for fun, find out what he has said about Kenny G. For that alone, I will dig this guy forever!

    Peace to all...

  • where can I see those speeches?

  • I remember reading that interview and lmao about Kenny G. EXACTLY! Pat is a genius. His music is to me what meditation is to others: it inspires me, it comforts me, it brings me utter peace.

  • my favourite song of him!!!

  • This song is beautiful and gives me the chills every time I hear it!

  • Beautiful Song! So much feeling. I am deeply moved by Pat Metheny's music since 1982. I am a fan for life!
