We are in war, we need a president who has been in war to understand this situation and I don't think O'bama has ever been in war so Mccain could help get us through this situation.
You guys are great, and it's hilarious to see the comment from folks who think you are actually supporting McCain. As an Obama supporter I can't thank you enough.
It's time to end this Obama circus. He has accepted thousands of dollars from foreigners and still keeps receiving money from Hamas terrorists. File a FEC complaint noquarterusa(dot)net tells you how. Obama's birth certificate has been proved to be a forgery long time ago but the newest twist is that it actually belongs to his sister Maya Soetoro. It's time for the citizens of this country to take action because the mass media sure won't.
Wanna hear the newest flip? Now he wants full voting rights for Michigan and Florida. The same states he fought so hard to disenfranchise. He needs to pander the people in those states and has replaced all Clinton delegates to his so there's no chance of Clinton getting a single delegate from this operation. Seriously, the only thing he hasn't thrown under the bus is public health care and it's only because it's polling well.
Obama is a smart Man, no dought he will be better then Bush has been. the Whole World Loves him already. in life I have changed my mind at least a million times. i think it is a good thing to change. to change your mind. Funny Video Guys. I'm buying you C D ...5 *'s
i wish you were right but the truth is they are both controlled by the same oligarchical apparatus. he will get us into just as many foreign conflicts as bush unfortunately...
is peace and prosperity really that much to ask? why dont these aristocrats just leave us the fuck alone.
The whole world loves him? Obama has you fooled! The two locations where Obama had a huge turn out, he had popular rock bands giving a free concert..In Germany he had Patrice and Reamonn, two popular bands in Europe and in Oregon he had the Decemberist!...By the way, the Decemberist play the Russian national anthem at the beginning of their show! Obama is running for president of the U.S. not the world!
You think Obama is for Americans?Just listen to his speech in Germany! I suggest you do some research on Obama wanting to give away $845 billion to foreign nations in his Global poverty act-House Bill s.2344. I suggest you look up the U.N. Millennium Project which Obama supports and will turn over American rights and U.S. sovereignty to the U.N.! This guy has all of you liberals fooled!Instead of getting the facts you just respond with profanity like some unintelligent moron!
"give away $845 billion to foreign nations in his Global poverty act-House Bill s.2344. I suggest you look up the U.N. Millennium Project which Obama supports and will turn over American rights and U.S. sovereignty to the U.N.!"
Yup! Obama's Global poverty act-House Bill s.2344 requires the US to sign the U.N.'s Millennium pact, which will turn over American rights and U.S. sovereignty to the U.N., & require the US to ban private gun ownership; YOUR RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS
Funny how you hear nothing about it in the media! Why doesn't Obama talk about this on the road and in his town hall meetings when he says he is for America,Jobs, better wages, the middle class and the poor? I think we know why..He would loose big time!
tis true, but with McCain you still get Obama's Global poverty act-House Bill s.2344, & s.1959, ect, ect, you see they've done it to us again set up like pins! This election is a farse!
plus, the chinese get interest on that money they loan to us.The solution is to confiscate all mideast oil shipments to china.Freeze 'em out, same way we done the japs in ww2.
obama beat hillary by promising to pull out of iraq immediately. Now he's nominated he changes position to"look at the facts on the ground".Because now he's trying to beat mccain. So how can we know what he really intends to do,if elected?
rw5791: We might not know what obama is going to do in Iraq, but we know for a fact that mccain means continued war in Iraq and possibly Iran, all paid for with money the republican administration borrows from the chinese.
Before people start thumbing lion575 to oblivion really think about it. Is Obama any different than any previous candidate? No, and that is why he is not the winds of change he claims to be.
We all need to wake up out this left right bull shit. Mccain is not a conservative, Obama is not about individual libertys. What dose that say.
We all need to do something fast because which ever one we get is only going to make things worst. Both of them are ethically and intellectually bankrupt.
"Democrats hate ,and will not support, corruption and incompetence."
Ha ... who in the hech said that. What a fucking moron. Democrats like Obama are trying to pass things like the world poverty bill 2x the exspense of Iraq for money to go to corrupt politicians in third world countries world wide. And as far as in the US ... do you think democrats are any less corrupt than republicans??? Clinton may have had quite a few achievments as president, but is well known to be corrupt.
They (politicians) are all corrupt. It is time for a revolution. I see a civil war on the horizon for America once again. As it appears that we are getting farther and farther apart in our beliefs as a Nation (what founded this country in the first place). I am a patriot for America. Not American government in its current form. We escaped the English once....It appears that we may have to do the same to American politicians again.
Obviously this is a parody of bitter white southerners who cling to religion & guns. Thanks for the motivation & hopefully this November -- The South shall rise again!!!
They got it right about there not being any McCain supporters out there. But this election should be a referendum not on Obama, but on the whole political establishment. Congress and the President's approval rating is the lowest that it has ever been. It's time to sweep the houses clean. Bob Barr Libertarian for Real Change. BobBarr2008(dot)com
Article (2): 1st — Islam is the official religion of the state and is a basic source of legislation: (a) No law can be passed that contradicts the undisputed rules of Islam.
Article (3): Iraq is part of the Islamic world and its Arab people are part of the Arab nation.
From the New Iraq Constitution. Obama has never changed his position on wanting to leave Iraq.
Bush is the Messiah. He speaks to God and God speaks back. Surely you know that?
Your funny...So, the new smear job on Obama is he's not only a crack head. But a Gay Muslim terroist and serial killer....LOL There is one thing you left out of your usual rightwing nutjob smear attack. That is Obama has an evil twin named Obambia. Never forget the evil twin angle when trying to smear your opponent. Okay!
Too bad the Red Sea isn't in the Red States. Maybe Jesus would part it and say, " It's Ok Obamanation you can cross. But then in the middle of his crossing (pun intended) Jesus would find out what a liar he is. We all know what Jesus thinks about liars. Seems to me there is some documentation about Jesus and liars. Good thing we can still put our faith in that because the Constitution I fear will be fading fast.
I pray that isnt the case at all. If we move from the constitution to the bible the world will be a terrible place. Seperation of church and state is key to our survival as a civilization.
Listen America, its time for you to finally wisen up. Its a very simple election. Do you want to live in fear of another war (with Iran); do you want to hear about US troops being killed daily on the news; Do you want to remain isolated and continue having an unhealthy relationship on the international scene; how about a economy that is slipping away while trillions of dollars are being spent on war, while gas prices are most likey gping further up; If so vote for McCain.
"Do you want to live in fear of another war (with Iran);"
My response:
Do you want to lose another war (to Iran), let them go nuclear, continue to fund Hezbollah, Hamas and the Qods Force, wipe out Israel and all the gains Iraq has made?
"do you want to hear about US troops being killed daily on the news;"
We're not hearing about deaths everyday, you can hardly get the news from Iraq that violence is down 85% as are casualties, 100,000 new Iraqis enlisted in their army last year, 70,000 others joined the police. Their sharing oil revenues with the people now and production of oil is up 25%. Their government has been more productive than ours in the last year.
"Do you want to remain isolated and continue having an unhealthy relationship on the international scene;"
Do you want to destroy the gains made in our alliances in the intel community and the unified front that has been forged in opposition to Iran's defiance?
Our relationship with Old Europe isn't as unhealthy as you think. You know America is pretty well-liked when France throws Jacques 'Iraq' Shirak aside for the pro American conservative Sarkozy.
"how about a economy that is slipping away while trillions of dollars are being spent on war,"
We're not in a recession. We're having a slow down due to circular trends, the sub-prime mess, and that we're being throttled by outrageous crude prices. Despite the huge Bush tax cuts (which every taxpayer got btw), revenues to the fed have still skyrocketed. Our problem isn't the war spending, it's the pork spending.
"while gas prices are most likey gping further up..."
If we surrender the oil-rich region to the Islamofascists, OPEC will be able to charge us whatever they want for crude. If we let Iran consolidate Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi and Jordan under them (That is their expressed goal -and death to America and Israel, you'll think $4 gas is a bargain! Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less.
Barack is opposed to increasing American oil production. He prefers we all conserve. No AC at 75 degrees, remember?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Obama has the capability of mobilizing and creating positive energy not only in the US, but in the world. I can't see how voting for him is not the common sense thing to do
Actually Barack said we can't all keep our thermostats at 72 degrees all day and expect the world to like us. He may allow us to keep them at 75. Sorry about the typo.
Islamofascists don't run the oil business in the Middle East. In fact, if America continue to wage war in the Middle East, in the end, it is inevitable that thos "islamophobes" will end up in charge of those resources.
Listen, 3, 4, 5, 10 more years in Iraq, and the American soldiers' casualties may very well go beyond 10,000. That's unacceptable and unfair. If you will sacrifice a country's young men and women's blood, make sure they are fighting a worthy war. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, terrorists, or WMD. Saddam was indeed a dictator. So what?! Will America go around fighting each dictatorship in the entire world?? Sorry, but that's noble but unrealistic cause. Go after the terrorists directly.
1. America is not at war with Iran! And they should never go that path. Look at Iraq. I've been in Iraq, and can tell you, nothing is improving
2. An Obama administration will have the diplomatic artillery to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons..trust me! When the world backs up America, Iran will be isolated.
3. If America goes to war with Iran, Hezbolla, Hamas, etc, will become more powerful, bold, increase their activities, and people will popularize them.
We were a better and more compassionate country before Neo-Christians hijacked Jesus back in the 1980's. Quite sad . . . money-grubbing televangelists, the "moral" majority, and other so-called "Christians" - the modern day Pharisees.
Thank God Jesus is no longer an establishment Republican - lol.
I think Obama would be a truly horrible President. The last thing we need right now is someone with no experience who believes the answer to every problem is either a new government program or the expansion of an existing one. That having been said, your comment is inappropriate in any context and hopefully will receive enough negative feedback where it will not be shown.
people get tricked again i rememeber back in 2k peeps were sayin bush is down to earth. yea hes down to elite controoling martial law gonna put all u fuktards in camps
Obama is controlled by the tri's same peeps ur country gives warplanes and billions of secret dollars ... Isreal. This whole election is a farge more likely its more easy to own a few cable companies
Obama didn't change his position. Go to his website and you can see his WHOLE response there. LOL about McCain and so true! LMAO about Jesus being a politician and running for office. Too funny. LOL go back to Hillary "Oh Jesus!" LOL!
The High gas prices were made worse by the democrats since they took over control of congress in 2006. They want high gas prices to blame Bush and Republicans and for pushing their anti-American socialist agenda. Dems put up a straw man with no stuffin' to deceive the brainless ones on the left. This is the worst election I've seen in my 40+ years. There's so much flip-floppin, the only thing McCain and Obama haven't changed is their color~!
Obama's supporters must be really sorry that the surge worked in Iraq. Hell, Harry Reid declared the war lost two years ago. At some point, probably after the election, people will look at Obama and realize that the emperor has no clothes. Before that, however, Obama will do everything he can to promote "liberation theology" and to bring back inflation.
Just because the casualties are lower does not mean the latest divergance, I mean surge, is working. Our returning troops say this "surge" is just a political maneuver, and I believe them before i believe you or the media, that has dropped their coverage of this illegal occupation by 2/3rds.
And I hope Obama will promote "Liberation theology", someone needs to liberate us from this criminal,Fascist , regime.
And read a fucking newspaper, INFLATION IS ALREADY BACK, dufus.
The success of the surge is not measured only by a decrease in deaths; it is also measured by the fact that the Government of Iraq has now met 12 out of the original 18 benchmarks set for it, including 4 out of the 6 key legislative benchmarks. As to inflation, it's not back yet (other than gas prices) because we are in a recession. Obama wants to tax oil companies even more and cut off supply. Liberals like gas prices high. They hope it will make people stop using those "evil" cars.
That is a point very well taken. Bush should have requested a declaration of war. Of course, since the Democrats have controlled Congress for a while, they could either cut off funds for the war or vote to trigger the War Powers Act. Of course, then they would have to accept responsibility, and it is much easier to just blame Bush for everything (e.g. suicide bombers, global warming, gas prices, Florida voting procedures, people who buy houses they can't afford, etc)
Dem's may have the majority but they certainly don't have control until AWOL Bush sticks his veto pen up Cheney's tight ass.And why would we blame Bush for 9-11 ,even tho they were repeatedly warned, or Global warming, when Bush's conservative Corporation's pollute and Bush lives in denial, Gas prices? Bush/Cheney=oil ,Florida voting (no problem there,it's not the VOTING,it's the counting idiot) Housing, Bush's failure to enforce regulations,so YEP,yur rite,Bush is the worst PRESIDENT EVER !
Trust me, no one cares about the Benchmarks, they care about American lives. Bottom line is we are there for oil and power so there can never be a true success. Gas prices have nothing to do with inflation, food prices ,however do. And the oil thieves are getting TAX BREAKS dumbass ,and should be taxed ,then hung. I can easily prove Liberals DON'T like high gas prices.Watch and learn. I'm a proud Liberal , and I don't like high gas prices ! That was too easy. Surge this !
When a gas tax holiday was proposed, Pelosi responded that decreasing the tax on gas "would hurt everything we were trying to accomplish." Gore wanted government to raise gas prices artificially to $5 per gallon. Liberals want gas prices high so regular people will be required to mass transit and change their lifestyle. Also, even Pelsoi acknowledged the surge worked, but since San Fran hates all things military, she said it was due to "the good will of the Iraqi people."
Fuck Pelosi, as soon as she announced that impeachment was off the table she lost all credibility. She's been bought off or intimidated right out of reality. Your theory has 1 fatal flaw, Democratic politicians need to be re-elected ,and unlike Republicans, Democrats hate ,and will not support, corruption and incompetence.
If this "surge" is what you people call a success, I'd HATE to see a failure ( I think it would still look alot like Iraq)
Democrats hate corruption? Like Webster Hubbell? Who actually had the nerve to pardon people named "Rich" and "Green" in return for giving money to a presidential library? What about the Congressman with $80,000 in cash in his freezer? (He is still there and nobody cares by the way.) What about the Countrywide 6? Both sides have had more than their share of problems but Democrats have made using a public office for private gain into an art form.
what the congressman with the $80,000 charged with, why it was suddenly legal for the Justice Dept to search his office? Art form ? Bush convinced an educated society that mushroom clouds from a country where there are no nuclear weapons , and we installed the enemies leader. Then privatised the armed forces and hire mercenaries to prolong the biggest power grab andoil deal in history ,while helping to inflate domestic gas prices and unlimited ,no bid contracts. And where was your LIBERAL media?
Louisiana Democratic Congressman William Jefferson was indicted on 16 charges relating to a long-running investigation into bribery, racketeering, obstruction of justice and money laundering. Senator Chris Dodd, who is one of the Countrywide 6, got a special deal on his mortgage and just happened to be Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. Harry Reid has also made some interesting land deals but that is another story.
"Democrats hate ,and will not support, corruption and incompetence."
With all due respect, muserwood, that is one of the most dishonest and/or ignorant statements I've ever seen on YouTube. Pains me to say it about a fellow artist, but as an Anarchist I gotta call "Bullshit!" on that one. No, I'm not a Rethuglican OR a Democrap, I despise them both. I've voted three times in my life(Reagan, Nader, and Kerry), and plan on writing-in Ron Paul this year. Voice of truth and neutrality here!
Sorry eekmouse, but you'll NEVER convince me that Democrats ,as in voters, would tolerate a President lying us into an illegal war against a sovereign nation, or spying on Americans, or outing a CIA agent,or torturing, or or or , never mind, I forgot I was talking to an "ANARCHIST". Ron Paul huh ? What does Ronny plan to do about our failed and corrupt health care system ?
Ronny wouldn't do anything about the health care system cause the Constitution doesn't give the government any jurisdiction. Well, the Dems tolerated Pearl Harbor, USS Liberty, and Gulf of Tonkin, acts of treason committed by Dem presidents. Torturing, nothing new there, according to a Green Beret buddy of mine who was in Nam during the Johnson admin. Yep, I'm a "Truther"! 9/11 Truth is pretty similar to Pearl Harbor truth, when you get right down to it.
Spying on Americans? Ha! The Patriot Act pales in comparison to some shit Clinton tried to get passed. And speaking of ol' Billy, keep in mind that no Rethuglican ever deployed Delta Force and tanks against US citizens. Not trying to convince you of anything, bro, simply stating a fact. Both parties are populated with thieving, murdering sociopaths who don't give a fuck about you. Why give your loyalty to either one? Bush couldn't do what he does without Dem complicity. Fact!
I think everyone needs to pick up a copy of the Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Folks, it is time to wake up. We are getting screwed by our own gov't. The people whom we put in power turn on us (the people) at every turn when it comes to putting money in their pocket. Why do you think they leave cushy $250k jobs to go to work in Congress? They come out richer and with better benefits. Do the research!
@teamtwisted True. I wonder how many of those traitors would work in Congress if there were little to no benefits and the salary was only $70k...Nah we'd both know what would happen. None of those traitors would take the seat.
How can you claim gas prices have nothing to do with inflation? Fuel costs make everything more expensive, especially food -- although the liberals did their part with the price of corn. Ask anyone who has taken an econ class, "What will happen to the price of corn if the government mandates its use?" Clearly what we need to do now is bring back Jimmy Carter's windfall profits tax on oil companies. It worked so well last time.
Gas prices can contribute to inflation, but the high gas prices themselves had nothing to do with an inflationary economy. At this point no one seems to know exactly why the gas prices are so high, could be speculators, the devalued dollar, supply and demand, or just plain old GREED.
At least high corn prices will, intime , help reduce our dependence on foreign oil, investments in alternative fuels ,and energy independence, not just $ in the pockets of the super rich, a worthwhile investment.
I like how your analysis has a focus on GREED a/k/a those big bad evil oil companies. Given that worldwide demand is only going to increase (yes, I drive a Honda Civic Hybrid) perhaps we should remember a basic law of econ and increase supply. Perhaps we could drill 75 miles offshore? If "sight pollution" is an issue for you, and you can see that far, I want to meet your eye doc. By the way, the Ag corporations that turn corn into fuel qualify as "super rich" too.
Supply isn't the problem, the oil companies have a vast supply capped off ,but they won't touch it in order to control price gauging and increased public pressure to drill off shore (suckers like you). They also wont invest in much needed refineries in order to further their ,more than profitable, cause.
I have nothing against the rich as long they pay their fair share and respect the commons.
If you believe that U.S. oil companies are refusing to drill on existing leases (where there may or may not be oil and/or natural gas; that's why it's called "exploration"), then you probably also believed the stories in the 1970s that there were oil tankers setting off our coasts that were refusing to dock until the price went higher. The reason more refineries have not been built is that nobody wants to live near one and it takes years to get approval to build one.
definition of the surge: temporary troop increase to give iraqi parliament the necessary "breathing room" to perform their duties in the rebuilding of iraq.
by its own definition, the "surge" failed. the troop increase became permanent, and the iraqi parliament is actually in WORSE shape now.
to top things off, while we're dicking the dog in iraq, the taliban is regaining momentum in afghanistan. they just broke over 800 prisoners out in kandahar recently.
'that's cuz nobody gives a sh-t about McCain' is the reason why the media doesn't report on McCain's own documented flip flops? and then Lieberman is mentioned?
I'm now convinced: anybody who thinks that Red State Update is pro-Republican/pro-right wing is a fool. They may have condemned Obama, but NOTHING they've said in this update has been to uplift the Republicans or McCain, or say they offer any improvement or any options. When's the last time a pro-Repub/right-wing update was done?
Yeah, for God's sake don't worry your pretty head with ISSUES. Just go for personality. And only one candidate knows how to crash an airplane. That's good enough for me!
SwissCross, for me it's all about Keating 5. McCain deserves praise for being a POW survivor; but it ends there. In private life he dumps his wife Carol, saying she's unattractive to him after her accident, to take up with a pill popping, embezzling beer heiress -- for political expediency.
Political life matters more, though, and Keating Five is as bad as AbScam. The lobbyist and ideological flip flops are just gravy. Obama has a ways to catch up to McCain's negatives.
I wished Bush had flip flopped four years earlier on whether or not to send in more troops to Iraq. We would be having a very different campaign now if he had shown alittle flexiblity. Doing what's right for America is more important than what's right for yourself.
As a voter, I personally believe that most U.S. Americans don't know Obama's position on the Iraq because some people in our nation aren't mind readers.
And I believe that our political education, such as the United States Military Industrial Congressional Complex, & the Iraq, everywhere, such as, the U.S. weapons exporters and corporate lobbyists, should help the U.S., the S. Africa, & the Iraq, because we want no child left behind.
Absolutely. And we should also provide maps to those poor people in Africa and the Iraq, because that's why those people don't know where those places are, because they don't have maps.
It doesn't matter what Obama wants to do. Iraq themselves will be kicking the US out of their country within the next 6 months, and if the US doesn't go, then we'll truly BE invaders and occupiers.
If Obama had his way, we'd have been withdrawn by March '08. He never cared about what we left behind. Now he says he'll listen to the generals to "ensure stability." If we pulled out last year like Obama suggested, there would be no stability to ensure today. We've won in Iraq and now Obama is trying to join the side of the winning. Or you could vote for the guy who pushed for the winning strategy years ago, Johnnie Mack. Check out my video on this very subject. /watch?v=oDi-4AxQK_4
Like you really care what the US has left in Iraq. From the invasion in 2003 Iraq has truly become a terrorist hot bed.
The US has won in Iraq you say. Well I guess you deem it normal to fear going to the market because that possibly might be the day that you are cut down by shrapnel after a bus has blown up. That is exactly what happened 2 weeks ago.
Iraq is still at the edge of civil war. Shiites and Sunnis are still struggling for power. And Iraq's borders still prove to be porous.
What an ignorant statement. I care deeply about what happens in Iraq. A freely elected republic in the cradle of civilization would have tremendous impact on the region full of oligarchies. More republics join the civilized world each year. Why not push for republics in the Muslim world where people are being taught to tie bombs to their children to explode in markets? Free nations don't war with one another. The reason Iraq has became a target of terrorism is cause they're afraid of freedom.
Wow you have been drinking that Bush juice for too long. Freedom aka neo-colonisation. So why aren't you bringing freedom to places like the socalled Democratic Republic of the Congo or Zimbabwe. Why isn't freedom being spread in countries like Myanmar and Tibet. And why does the US leave China a communist state alone while it spreads its ideals of freely elected republics elsewhere.
Sorry but that rhetoric went down easy in 2001-2003. Now people know the score. So time to update your argument
When's the last time a Zimbabwean or Congan harbored an Islamofascist who conceled his WMD development, gave money to families of terrorists that killed Americans, or invaded an ally of America?
However, Africa is being infultrated by Islamofascists. If we don't cut the heads of the movement, soon Africa will be full of people willing to tie bombs to themselves and attack us too. Avoid war in Africa later by winning in Iraq/Iran/Saudi/Syria now.
I'd rather be drinking that then kind you're drinking that thinks America has no interest in helping nurture republics in the Muslim world. Should we just surrender Iraq to Iran and the rest of the Islamofascists who would celebrate our retreat? Obama now seems to think otherwise. Why not you?
Sorry my diet is more balanced. It requires a brain, a willingness to keep myself educated about the facts coupled with just having a low tolerance for political BS.
I don't see a balanced diet in your repartee. I see a guy who thinks all war is wrong and regurgitates smarmy platitudes? What's your answer to our Islamofascist problems? Come on, Einstein, dazzle us with your brilliance about the "facts." What's your solution?
I'm still waiting for your solution and evidence that your "diet is more balanced. It requires a brain, a willingness to keep myself educated about the facts coupled with just having a low tolerance for political BS." Come on, dazzle us. Or are you just a terrible simplifier?
That's exactly the point that you don't get. There is no simple solution. This is not a pre 1939 world where its acceptable to roll into countries and take them over. Or impose the governments that suit our best political interests and spread our religions across our empires.
Whether we do this in unilateral wars, contra missions or by supporting puppet governments the result is the same - failure and we are left with more people in these failed democratic countries who become radicalized.
So if there is no simple solution, do you have a complicated one or do you just want to surrender the region to people we KNOW would destroy us if they could?
huh?

You think Obama is for Americans?Just listen to his speech in Germany! I suggest you do some research on Obama wanting to give away $845 billion to foreign nations in his Global poverty act-House Bill s.2344. I suggest you look up the U.N. Millennium Project which Obama supports and will turn over American rights and U.S. sovereignty to the U.N.! Yup! Obama's Global poverty act-House Bill s.2344 requires the US to sign the U.N.'s Millennium pact, which will turn over American rights and U.S. sovereignty to the U.N., & require the US to ban private gun ownership; YOUR RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS

They (politicians) are all corrupt. It is time for a revolution. I see a civil war on the horizon for America once again. Not American government in its current form. We escaped the English once....It appears that we may have to do the same to American politicians again.

VRWCnetwork 3 years ago
"do you want to hear about US troops being killed daily on the news;"
We're not hearing about deaths everyday, you can hardly get the news from Iraq that violence is down 85% as are casualties, 100,000 new Iraqis enlisted in their army last year, 70,000 others joined the police. Their sharing oil revenues with the people now and production of oil is up 25%. Their government has been more productive than ours in the last year.
VRWCnetwork 3 years ago
"Do you want to remain isolated and continue having an unhealthy relationship on the international scene;"
Do you want to destroy the gains made in our alliances in the intel community and the unified front that has been forged in opposition to Iran's defiance?
Our relationship with Old Europe isn't as unhealthy as you think. You know America is pretty well-liked when France throws Jacques 'Iraq' Shirak aside for the pro American conservative Sarkozy.
VRWCnetwork 3 years ago
"how about a economy that is slipping away while trillions of dollars are being spent on war,"
We're not in a recession. We're having a slow down due to circular trends, the sub-prime mess, and that we're being throttled by outrageous crude prices. Despite the huge Bush tax cuts (which every taxpayer got btw), revenues to the fed have still skyrocketed. Our problem isn't the war spending, it's the pork spending.
VRWCnetwork 3 years ago
And btw, the price of Barack's proposed new spending programs will cost us way more than this war.

"while gas prices are most likey gping further up..."
If we surrender the oil-rich region to the Islamofascists, OPEC will be able to charge us whatever they want for crude.

AverageVoter 3 years ago
Just because the casualties are lower does not mean the latest divergance, I mean surge, is working. Our returning troops say this "surge" is just a political maneuver, and I believe them before i believe you or the media, that has dropped their coverage of this illegal occupation by 2/3rds.
And I hope Obama will promote "Liberation theology", someone needs to liberate us from this criminal,Fascist , regime.
And read a fucking newspaper, INFLATION IS ALREADY BACK, dufus.
muserwood 3 years ago
The success of the surge is not measured only by a decrease in deaths; it is also measured by the fact that the Government of Iraq has now met 12 out of the original 18 benchmarks set for it, including 4 out of the 6 key legislative benchmarks. As to inflation, it's not back yet (other than gas prices) because we are in a recession. Obama wants to tax oil companies even more and cut off supply. Liberals like gas prices high. They hope it will make people stop using those "evil" cars.
AverageVoter 3 years ago

That is a point very well taken. Bush should have requested a declaration of war. Of course, since the Democrats have controlled Congress for a while, they could either cut off funds for the war or vote to trigger the War Powers Act. Of course, then they would have to accept responsibility, and it is much easier to just blame Bush for everything (e.g. suicide bombers, global warming, gas prices, Florida voting procedures, people who buy houses they can't afford, etc)
AverageVoter 3 years ago
averagevoter-
I would never blame GWB for everything, only the 35 articles of impeachment put forth by congressman Kucinich.
At least Bush dosnt pretend to be for the people.

bigeffendeal 3 years ago
Dem's may have the majority but they certainly don't have control until AWOL Bush sticks his veto pen up Cheney's tight ass.And why would we blame Bush for 9-11 ,even tho they were repeatedly warned, or Global warming, when Bush's conservative Corporation's pollute and Bush lives in denial, Gas prices? Bush/Cheney=oil ,Florida voting (no problem there,it's not the VOTING,it's the counting idiot) Housing, Bush's failure to enforce regulations,so YEP,yur rite,Bush is the worst PRESIDENT EVER !
muserwood 3 years ago
Trust me, no one cares about the Benchmarks, they care about American lives. Bottom line is we are there for oil and power so there can never be a true success. Gas prices have nothing to do with inflation, food prices ,however do. And the oil thieves are getting TAX BREAKS dumbass ,and should be taxed ,then hung. I can easily prove Liberals DON'T like high gas prices.Watch and learn. I'm a proud Liberal , and I don't like high gas prices ! That was too easy. Surge this !
muserwood 3 years ago
muserwood
When a gas tax holiday was proposed, Pelosi responded that decreasing the tax on gas "would hurt everything we were trying to accomplish." Gore wanted government to raise gas prices artificially to $5 per gallon. Liberals want gas prices high so regular people will be required to mass transit and change their lifestyle. Also, even Pelsoi acknowledged the surge worked, but since San Fran hates all things military, she said it was due to "the good will of the Iraqi people."
AverageVoter 3 years ago
Fuck Pelosi, as soon as she announced that impeachment was off the table she lost all credibility. She's been bought off or intimidated right out of reality. Your theory has 1 fatal flaw, Democratic politicians need to be re-elected ,and unlike Republicans, Democrats hate ,and will not support, corruption and incompetence.
If this "surge" is what you people call a success, I'd HATE to see a failure ( I think it would still look alot like Iraq)
muserwood 3 years ago

Democrats hate corruption? Like Webster Hubbell? Who actually had the nerve to pardon people named "Rich" and "Green" in return for giving money to a presidential library? What about the Congressman with $80,000 in cash in his freezer? (He is still there and nobody cares by the way.) What about the Countrywide 6? Both sides have had more than their share of problems but Democrats have made using a public office for private gain into an art form.
AverageVoter 3 years ago
what the congressman with the $80,000 charged with, why it was suddenly legal for the Justice Dept to search his office? And where was your LIBERAL media?
muserwood 3 years ago

Louisiana Democratic Congressman William Jefferson was indicted on 16 charges relating to a long-running investigation into bribery, racketeering, obstruction of justice and money laundering. Senator Chris Dodd, who is one of the Countrywide 6, got a special deal on his mortgage and just happened to be Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. Ron Paul huh ? What does Ronny plan to do about our failed and corrupt health care system ?
muserwood 3 years ago
Ronny wouldn't do anything about the health care system cause the Constitution doesn't give the government any jurisdiction. Well, the Dems tolerated Pearl Harbor, USS Liberty, and Gulf of Tonkin, acts of treason committed by Dem presidents. Torturing, nothing new there, according to a Green Beret buddy of mine who was in Nam during the Johnson admin. Yep, I'm a "Truther"! 9/11 Truth is pretty similar to Pearl Harbor truth, when you get right down to it.

AverageVoter 3 years ago
Gas prices can contribute to inflation, but the high gas prices themselves had nothing to do with an inflationary economy. At this point no one seems to know exactly why the gas prices are so high, could be speculators, the devalued dollar, supply and demand, or just plain old GREED.
At least high corn prices will, intime , help reduce our dependence on foreign oil, investments in alternative fuels ,and energy independence, not just $ in the pockets of the super rich, a worthwhile investment.
muserwood 3 years ago
muserwood
I like how your analysis has a focus on GREED a/k/a those big bad evil oil companies. Given that worldwide demand is only going to increase (yes, I drive a Honda Civic Hybrid) perhaps we should remember a basic law of econ and increase supply. Perhaps we could drill 75 miles offshore? If "sight pollution" is an issue for you, and you can see that far, I want to meet your eye doc. By the way, the Ag corporations that turn corn into fuel qualify as "super rich" too.
AverageVoter 3 years ago
Supply isn't the problem, the oil companies have a vast supply capped off ,but they won't touch it in order to control price gauging and increased public pressure to drill off shore (suckers like you). They also wont invest in much needed refineries in order to further their ,more than profitable, cause.
I have nothing against the rich as long they pay their fair share and respect the commons.
muserwood 3 years ago
muserwood

Amen.

Absolutely. And we should also provide maps to those poor people in Africa and the Iraq, because that's why those people don't know where those places are, because they don't have maps.
Such as.

I'm sure Obama's change of stance is due to him meeting in secret with Hilary at Bilderberg last month.
terrorbite 3 years ago
oh yeah, like that would have everything to do with it alright.
He hadn't met with Hillary before January when he said the EXACT same thing in the SC debate ( as did Clinton and Edwards too )

China is a big problem. Can't do it all.

But thanks for the insult about the "Bush juice"
I'd rather be drinking that then kind you're drinking that thinks America has no interest in helping nurture republics in the Muslim world. Should we just surrender Iraq to Iran and the rest of the Islamofascists who would celebrate our retreat? Obama now seems to think otherwise. Why not you?

Sorry my diet is more balanced. It requires a brain, a willingness to keep myself educated about the facts coupled with just having a low tolerance for political BS.
peziak 3 years ago
I don't see a balanced diet in your repartee. I see a guy who thinks all war is wrong and regurgitates smarmy platitudes? What's your answer to our Islamofascist problems? Come on, Einstein, dazzle us with your brilliance about the "facts." What's your solution?
VRWCnetwork 3 years ago
I am not a guy. And according to you the solution would be colonize, convert or dominate and domesticate
peziak 3 years ago
Sorry about the mix up on your gender.
I'm still waiting for your solution and evidence that your "diet is more balanced. It requires a brain, a willingness to keep myself educated about the facts coupled with just having a low tolerance for political BS." Come on, dazzle us. Or are you just a terrible simplifier?
VRWCnetwork 3 years ago
That's exactly the point that you don't get. There is no simple solution. This is not a pre 1939 world where its acceptable to roll into countries and take them over. Or impose the governments that suit our best political interests and spread our religions across our empires.
Whether we do this in unilateral wars, contra missions or by supporting puppet governments the result is the same - failure and we are left with more people in these failed democratic countries who become radicalized.
peziak 3 years ago
So if there is no simple solution, do you have a complicated one or do you just want to surrender the region to people we KNOW would destroy us if they could?
VRWCnetwork 3 years ago
They would destroy us if they could, but they can't, so who cares.
neillmiller 3 years ago
So if they plan to destroy us then we should destroy them first huh. Sorry but that's sheeplike fear.
