got a crazy idea for some album art for my band. so far noone i've asked has been up too taking the challenge. I think you could pull it off well. But the idea is making The Vatican in Rome with the pope in a balcony with his arms spread out like he was giving a speech. have red eyes and make him real demented looking. then have a Eye ball in the sky raining blood on rome. with an earthquake and ground cracking with meteors falling and people on the ground running in fear! like a apocolypse.

@BrutalDeathMetalArt i was gonna say the same thing about the color range! I totally hear ya though, I used to do the same thing :) It's amazing how easy certain things become once you learn the ins and outs of the Adobe programs.... or ANY programs for that matter. Good work, keep it up.

add a white layer as a background to your artwork. then add a second transparent layer above it. On that you only draw with fine black lines. Also try more shadowing with lines to get the whole artwort more plastic. Look at majewski or Egawa for example. When the line work is done, mask out the artwork so only the artwork has a white background, then put the clean transparent background logo above it. Just send me a pm for further informations ;)

Already did. the logo thingys just the same as i already said.

the viking seems like the background went very well, but then on the viking you wasn't enthusiastic enough. Needs lot more of details/shadowing/hightlightin­g/coloring to make it more plastic / realistic. Also the proportions seem not very correct, maybe should try it with that kind of drawing puppets (don't know the english word for it) to arrage the body positioning.

I think you should practice a little bit more / orientate on professional drawings. Your Ideas are okay but theres a lot of stuff you could still learn. Don't mask out the inbetween spaces of the logo. Directly take a logo with transparent background or but a black background-logo on a "mulitply" layer - its more clean, and lot less work.

to the artwork you're doing: try to use more fine lines and forget about the white background during work. (read my next comment)
