One of my favorite shows ever was in some upstairs bar in Austin, SXSW 2000 or 99', and they opened with 'call off the thugs'. There were 15 people there at best, but the sound was great and they played like the audience was ten fold. I'd been a huge Grifters fan for years, and the departure from that sound was surprisingly fresh ..... one of the few times I've attended a reincarnation of a band held in such great esteem and walked away smiling ear to ear.
OK, I have to say that not only is this at Trophy's on South Congress, but that I yelled for this song (Transgressions #9)and they played it. Dave said they hadn't played it in ages and my friend yelled that they'd get a mulligan. Thanks for posting it, so great!
