Thank you so much for this. I live at W.143rd & Broadway, was born at W.168th & Broadway, went to college at W.116th & Broadway and have worked at various places on Broadway throughout my adult life. It was like a journey through my life but at an earlier time. How lucky am I?!
GREAT record! and the film footage of NYC (my home town) during the 30's, when and where my parents were growing up, knocked my sox off! A new favorite!
Gosh...thanks for putting this up. Great match up of sound and Vid. I often wonder if I'de make a deal with the devil to return to those sweeter days. You can see that the camera is literally the greatest discovery of all time...for without it we really wouldn't have a clue
@signorgelato The film footage is great! My mother remembers the City like that.
I recognize a lot of it. Fascinating to see the EL's and streetcars in Manhattan. Mayor Laguardia was quite successful in his desire to totally eliminate Els and streetcars. By 1946 - no more streetcars in Manhattan and by 1955 - no more ELs in Manhattan.

Nice footage of Broadway in the Bronx...and the old Broadway Bridge. Where did you find it?

It'd be funny if this was on Pretty Little Liars.

why you have shortened the song? It supposed to be about 40 seconds longer.
