It is very sad that the great rivers Kaveri and Kollidam are now being plundered under the pretext of "sand" mining". It is sand plunder. The peaceful villages around Koviladi, Poondi, Ariyur and Anbil are now scorched due to this apathy. One can see upto 16 giant earthmovers plundering sand in kollidam within a 2 kilometre stretch.
