The USS Liberty incident is open to interpretation and is still unresolved. Its still debated whether this was simply friendly fire, a deliberate attempt on the part of Israel to engineer an attack to use as leverage or whether Israel thought it had hit an Egyptian supply ship. There is evidence, controversy and debate surrounding all three. None of them would suprise me. Again if Israels neighbours hadnt started the Six Day War in the first place it wouldnt have happened.

The Lavon affair was more aimed at keeping US/UK troops in the region by attacking US/UK owned targets, its wrong but name me any special forces that hasnt done this type of thing. The reason why is because of President Nasser of Egypt's military designs on Israel, culminating in the 1956 Sinai War, started by Egypt so they werent wrong. Why did Nasser have these designs? Because Egypt and the rest refused to recognise Israel and wanted to destroy it.

Since when have Hamas, Fatah or Hezbollah respected Israels rights, they never have and they never will. Anecdotal stories are well and good but it needs to be placed in a wider context.

Russia is selling nuclear fuel for the power plants and not enriching uranium for them. The whole problem with the US is that iran wants to enrich its own uranium a process that can also produce weapon grade nuclear material. Reactor nuclear material can not be used for weapons. Russia more likely is the least country that wants iran to enrich its own, as it will cut business for them.Hope this clears your confusion.

There are also plans for a joint venture that will allow Russia to enrich it for them, which I disagree with at face value at least. Iran should not be nuclear in any respect. I see no reason why Iran can not operate nuclear reactors,In fact by international law they have the right to them. Nuclear reaction fuel cannt be used for nuclear weapons before or after use.Nuclear weapons grade plutonium can only be manifactured with special centifuge enrichment methods which iran was planning to build. Russia is the main supplier of nuclear fuel in the world and does that legally. Actually the russian build reactions are not yet opoerational to use the fuel in iran

If by international law, you mean a corrupt UN then perhaps not. Iran lost the right to anything nuclear with their threats to wipe Israel off the map and describing the holocaust as a myth. Sorry but the word nuclear seem to scare you, other uses of the word nuclear is nuclear medicine aka radiotherapy, are you going to ban iran using them too? Irans president has expressed quite forcefully that he wishes to wipe Israel off the map and labels the Holocaust as a myth, the region is far to unstable as is the leadership and world view.
