The storyline is - Monsters attacked the castle, and Cardinal Capehorn and the Lionheart King knew something had to be done. Capehorn summoned a huge beast, and killed the King to 'save' everyone else. Maria, the better half of a fallen angel, knew the king was wronged, and set out to guide the King's Soul back to his body.
Basically, monsters from the underworld attacked the King's castle for some reason (I forgot...). The soul of the deceased king retruns to slay those monsters. And the other characters are ploting things behind the scenes for thier own personal reasons. Including Maria.
Yeah its pretty confusing... but I had tons of fun playing this.
"The king will be furious" was so underacted...actually, most of the voice acting was kinda meh. Maria's voice acting in this intro is actually better than Mellia's in her version of the intro. The game is excellent though.
if you mean why they always make it for a nintendo device, and then make a psp version of the game, well its because obviously, the nintendo handhelds (gba/ds) are more popular. So people play them there first, they make more money, and then they make an enhanced version for the psp so people could buy it again. But i doubt they could make a KITN version for the psp, the ds's stylus is a big part of the game so thats impossible, unless they somehow change the game alot.
They're not replacing L's with S's. They're using an older-English-styled font, and in older forms of English writing, S's had a tendency to look like L's (or F's, depending on the handwriting).
However, I'll still maintain that I think they're at their most visually explosive when they're working with 2D sprites. I've seen footage of Baroque and Dokapon Kingdom and it just didn't goose me like things like Yggdra Union or Knights in the Nightmare did.
I'll also point out that the DHE games have been made by a separate development team (or at least a particularly focused development team) from that which made Baroque and the like.
sting have the best storyline in a game ever... j/l Riviera: The Promised Land... they shud make a sequal of it

I am sooo getting this. Question... Is the September 25th the JPN or NA release date?
mattiatorX 3 years ago
Japan. NA is.. hopefully soon?
Ladeand 3 years ago
Atlus is usually good about publishing games for NA soon after the Japan release. Probably around Summer/Fall 09 is my guess.

Wow, I don't think anyone will deny that Sting knows how to do some really astounding things with sprites.
...honestly, I hope they'll never make a polygon based game, their spritework's just too beautiful to do without!
AlgusUnderdunk 3 years ago
They have done several polygon-based games:
Baroque
Dokapon Kingdom
Evolution 1 and 2/Worlds
