  • Can the R-09HR be used as a microphone when connected to a PC?

  • @LuminolBlue unfortunately no. its a great mic thought.

  • how does this compare to the zoom h2? i am a newbie to these recording equipments.

  • can i connect directly from my mixing board and what cable do i need for that?

  • This is indeed a great unit, however, you neglected to reflect upon many of the great features of the R-09HR. Near the end of your video, you said, "..it can record at 24-bit/96KHz Wave and MP3.." When in fact, the MP3 format only goes up to 320Kbps, which is not the same as Wave file recording.

    2.5/5.

  • very helpful review

  • Great reviews Rev!

i was all set to get a Zoom H4, but have just started looking into other models and your two reviews cover everything important that spec lists and company blurb glosses over.

Are the recordings of your band using these recorders available online anywhere? it'd be nice to hear them in action.

  • I have to dig them up but i do have them. I thought we posted a 10 sec. sound bite from each one. But i would be glad to send you one if you still need. it. WAAAAY behind in answering comments...

  • ahh, no worries. funnily enough i just bought a 2nd hand R-09HR off ebay 2 days ago. managed to get a decent deal on it, but your review helped a lot in discounting the Zoom H series. cheers!

  • Great thing 5/5!
