My argument comes down 2 semantics: 'Results' is a very ambiguous term. If results = improvement in function, (in the most simple/accurate way I can describe) U only need 2 do MORE. If results = specific area of the body you need to TARGET that area. But 2 suggest a certain amount of time is part of the reason why people who want 2 exercise don't. They think if I can't do (X) mins/day, days/week etc, why even try. Spend as much time as U can doing things U like & U will achieve results.
3-5 days a week for an hour to achieve results. What a load of rubbish. It depends on many facotrs, 3 of which are your weight, UR physical condition & the results U want 2 achieve. Any healthy choices have 2B able 2 maintained each day/week/year for much longer than 'the camera is turned on'. People fail when they give up. If U want 2 set certain 'rules', 2 UR peril. Instead let people make their own rules, get their own results AND show them how 2 get 'more' if they don't get what they want.
@lauriejamesmackeson Ok then Laurie, what exactly would YOU do with your 3min on air seeing as I'm clearly not up to scratch and speaking a 'load of rubbish.'
@ameliaburton I clearly said that the idea of "3-5days a week for an hour to achieve results" is a load of rubbish. I was not directing that at U. You ask a very good question. I am NOT being sarcastic. What would I do 'better' in 3mins..I guess my overall message would be 2 reinforce the fact that the person needing the help has 2 (a) choose/discover what activities they like 2 do (b) know how 2 do them safely and (c) examine the aspect of time & money which health/fitness.
Fantastic. Very inspiring. I love the fact that you really know what you are doing and you do it without a phony attitude which a lot of trainers suffer from. Many trainers are more into themselves than the clients they are supposed to be inspiring.A+++++
