I love these gals. Just two more in a long line of extremely talented British entertainers. I am a Yank, but have always found our friends across-the-pond to be every bit our equals in music, comedy, acting (perhaps superior there), etc. Dawn and Jennifer's chosen subject material does show the influence of American movies in particular. The girls have millions of fans in the US and Canada. They are first-rate comedians and are hysterical!

Dawn French as little Bette Davis had me giggling, but when Jennifer Saunders came on as little Joan Crawford with those pigtails, I lost it completely. This sketch is perfection. Every detail is correct, even the removing of the hat at the beginning when "Baby Dawn" is performing. Wow!

The level of authenticity this sketch has is borderline scary! Having seen the original movie at last a dozen times, I can tell you the sets and the costumes and wigs and just the total, over-all feel is near perfect. Hats off to those responsible =^)
