  • I agree with jeffsoundfreak. Sometimes is good leave aside the classical music scales..., more over on improvisation, more over if you got a song full of altered and extended chords.

  • you would have more likes and less dislikes if you were better at improv. A little more work and you might be able to really improv rather then just play written music by classical composers.

I know you are a good flute player but this is just not your forte. sorry

  • when in doubt, trill!!

  • you are an amazing flutist and i respect you but the only thing i think for these improv pieces is to let the music speak to you and play the parts of written music with a more Similarly to the beat. like in the last one you played the song is a slower more laid back piece and the speed you were playing made it a bit choppy and sharp which is good but the base songs jazz sound is more of a rounded sound just let go of what you are thinking and play what you feel. :) -Seth

  • Very interesting!!

  • The flute sounds and looks AMAZING.

just wondering what brand are you playing on?

  • nice one

  • Sorry, I don't speak english...

Bem, no começo eu achei realmente meio estranho, mas com o passar do tempo se tornou bem agradável de assistir. Eu estou aprendendo, estou aprendendo. Quem sabe um dia eu consiga tocar algo ao nível.

    Linda a flauta! Apaixonou-me

  • I really like this, good job!

  • Absolutely brilliant :)

  • this is so wonderful! i love the second one you did because i love the velvety timbre in the lower registers of the flute!!!!

  • this was so fun!!! i loved the first one so much! sounded amazing!

  • Very jazzy. I LOVE IT !!! Okay. I love everything Nina Perlove does, but I think If Bach wasn't already dead he'd kill himself. (Ha,ha,ha)..... you know I'm kiddn'. It sounds GREAT !!! ..... I can't wait to hear more. I think this YouTube Orchestra project is amazing.

  • Wow, very neat stuff! (:

  • Wow! That was clever, confident and Dolphyesque - daimn, just missed out on the alliteration! Oh, ok - it was cool too. Wonder what all this recording would sound like without Bates & Zohar? As a standalone impro piece? ie Were they liberating or limiting your improv thinking? More!

  • There is a wonderful recording of Paula Robison performing the allemande with a choro band. I think that the cd was released in the late 1980s. She does some really great things in that recording.

  • At first I was ... not liking it.... but it grew on me as I listened on.. :)

  • Great Idea Nina! This was very enjoyable!

  • Good fun,I like doing this! All day, really cool!

  • Ahh ~:-) It sounds so sweet! Fits together nicely!!!

  • Haha... you should add the partita to Moyse's 50 variations!

  • \(^^)/

  • nina perlove, bringing you tomorrow today.

  • Very cool how you can jam like that. I don't particularly care for the style and think that the original piece should be kept original. Good luck though with it!

  • I love it! Great job. ^^

Its great to play different music sometimes, because it make you love flute EVEN more. :D

  • The jam session idea is G R E A T !!

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed the video ^^

  • wow. modern music. i love your flute skills =D wish i could be as goood one day
