  • This is a magnificent video, interspersing historical audio and video with Kunstler's TED talk.  My family has lived in Pittsburgh for the last 100 years. My grandparents told me stories of smoke filled skies during the day; so filthy that clean clothes hung out on the line would collect the soot from the steel mills and become dirty again. Kunstler does an incredible job of putting words to the post WWII disaster in America that we today call "Sprawl" and "Suburbia".
