  • MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY

  • creepy

  • I don't think he said may day

  • @oscarlemur17 yeah he did

  • MAY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • gotta love jeanerete

  • just great

  • MAY DAY!!!

  • MAY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm not a Sabres fan, nor do I particularly like Jeanerrette (sic), but it's pretty hard not to appreciate how good this call was. How could you not get excited listening to it?

  • He is one of (if not the best) announcer that has ever lived. He makes a average game great and a great game amazing. He makes truly awesome moments unforgetable ^^

He has a passion for the game and loves the fans, he is the best

  • lol goalies were so bad back then. awesome goal though.

  • @thedepartedRHCPfan They weren't bad, But most of the goals that happened when a goaltender made a misstake. Which made them look terrible. But in all truth they were amazing

  • @thedepartedRHCPfan yeah just as good then as now, but the equipment was different, they game was just played different. Moog had a pretty great career, but that wasn't his best game or series for that matter, huge upset.

  • sweet pass by lafontaine

  • How was it that Brad May scored about five goals a season, yet looked like a 50 goal scorer every time he did?

  • LOL 'its so funny when he says " May day, May day, May day wins it in overtim----

  • Truly a classic call. RJ is one of the greatest ever.

  • one of the best broadcasting calls in hockey history, even though it was against my bruins

  • Amazing goal, but also an amazing effort by LaFontaine to get the puck to May after being tripped. And of course RJ tops it all off.

  • Jeanerette is the freakin' best play by play ever!

  • WHAT A PASS BY LAFONTAINE, imagine if he never got that beauty pass off his knees to May, we may have not experienced the call that put Rick Jeanneret to iconic status and May into a legend in Buffalo

  • If I had to listen to that announcer every game I would shoot myself

  • @hallster101 i do hes still the announcer and my favorite he makes the game so exciting

  • 4 seconds into the video brad may dangles the fuck out of the legendary ray bourque. i love it. lol. But yeah gay people always gotta ruin the video by putting a gay mainstream-nickleback sound alike band in the video.

  • Turn the fucking music off. Seriously, what does that add to the video?

  • I want the wings to move May back up to the wings from the Griffins so he can give Crosby another concussion as soon as he's back (after 3 months .. really.. ? )

  • turn down that gay fucking music

  • Nice Goal! May Day May Day

  • BRAD MAY WINS IT IN OVERTI-

  • What everyone forgets is that we were down 5-0 in that game and came back to win in OT

  • I never got Brad May. The guy scored like five goals a year, and he looked like a 50-goal scorer every time he did score.

  • That call never gets old.

  • That wasn't some no-name d-man he pulled that move on either. That was Ray fucking Bourque!

  • This may be one of the greatest goals ever scored ever, let alone in the playoffs!

  • The pass by patty is legendary, as hes on his side to get the puck to may. The hockey gods were truly on our side that night!

  • What a fucking dangle by May Day.

  • @HCN8 i know right, and just to think the enforcer brad may dangled the legendary ray bourque just makes it that much more epic

  • buffalo has the BEST announcer ever lol

  • Kinda looks like Kane when he scored the cup winner.

  • the song made this vid crappy

  • Not only was Lafontaine's pass a skilled miracle, lok at how the "other" defenseman gave up on the play when he thought Patty was down and out.

Although I am a die-hard Canadian, Lafontaine is my favourite player of all time. Minnesota (Dallas) must still be kicking themselves in the ass for taking Brian Lawton as #1 overall.

  • this has to be one of the top 10 greatest calls of all time MAY DAY! MAY DAY! MAY DAY!

  • i met brad may what a great guy

  • Right up there with Foster Hewitt's call of Paul Henderson's goal against the Russians in '72!!!

  • The LaFontaine pass was a miracle - he was falling down as he passed

  • Take the stupid song out of this great moment, please!!! Let RJ finish his call and let the fans cheer.

  • FJUCK !

MAAAAAAY DAY MAY DAY MAY DAY

  • good vid until the song ruined it

  • Docked 3 stars for gay music

  • Bourque p'wned lol

  • A lot of people never realized what a pass patty made from his stomach because of the excitement of the goal

  • heckuva pass by lafontaine on the ice, too.

  • mine too.

  • I still can't understand why this guy is a pesk and a toughy, instead of a main stay with team Canada and a 30+ goal scorer in the NHL.....with that type of stickhandling you should go places, and those places are not the penalty box lol

  • HOLY SHIT WHAT A GOAL!

  • It's funny May tries so hard not to fuck up and accidangles bourque then fakes out Moog. Hahahaha

  • I met Brad May today! he's a really nice guy...I talked to him about this goal!

  • his son is my best friend

  • This is my ringtone

  • hahahaha

  • @alz2kewl where did you get it as a ringtone. Is it the call or the song?

  • @alz2kewl im a rangers fan. and this is my ringtone lol

  • Today me and a friend went to the aud. I got a brick from under the fence. So cool to have it in my hand while seeing this vid.

  • I was in section 36 orange that fateful evening ...ahhh...what memories......

  • They were celebrating so much you might of thought they won the Stanley Cup.

  • Ray Bourque hardly ever gets burned, but when he does, it's always pretty sick.

  • those where the good old days

  • Great call by Jeannette. I loved Ray Bourque, but DAMN did he get owned here.

  • Bourque got owned? What about Andy Moog? A weak atttempt at a save if you ask me.

I remember watching this game. This was the worst playoff series I've ever seen the Bruins play in my lifetime.

  • Moog wasn't owned. He simply put in little effort. Bourque was owned BADLY. May put the puck right between his legs and May wasn't even known as a goal scorer.

  • Well, they all got owned, pretty much. I remember those playoffs quite well. The Bruins were the #1 seed that year and they were heavily favored to beat the Sabres. Nothing went right for the Bruins in that series.

  • Nothing went right for you guys dating back to 1991. You have a 2-0 lead on Pittsburgh in the ECF, Neely hurts his knee and is never the same. The Bruins have had nothing but bad luck for the last 18 years.

  • I know. It could be years before the Bruins win another Cup. You say we've had bad luck for the last 18 years, but I think you meant to say the last 38 years.

  • @sean2015 The B's had lost 3 overtime games,for one thing.

  • @landrykkb I know, I watched that entire series and still remember it very well to this day.

  • @sean2015 The kicker in Game 1 was that former Boston Bruin Bob Sweeney had buried them in OT.I don't think the series was as one sided as some might suggest, although it was supposed to be the other way around.

  • @landrykkb the Bruins were heavily favored to win that series. You're right that it was a pretty close series with 3 games decided in OT. But the Bruins wer the #1 seed that year - they should've Zambonied the ice with the Sabres' butts and they didn't.

  • @sean2015 Another thing that year was that Pittsburgh were supposed to easily 3-peat as Stanley Cup Champions, but the NY Islanders had something to say about it and made sure that didn't happen.

  • what song is playing?

  • Lifehouse - "first time"

  • Man Bourque gets burned on a lot of memorable goals

  • MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY DAAAAAAAAAAAY!

one of the best calls ever

  • amazing goal

  • nobody ever mentions the great pass Pat La La made to get it to Brad May. BEST F'N GOAL EVER!!!!

  • great goal, even though it was against my beloved bruins. not many people can put a move like that on bourque

  • Nice vid until the music starts...

  • One of the best calls in sportscasting history...

  • no no no THE BEST CALL IN SPORTS HISTORY

  • Awesome.

That play orginated by Pat LaFontaine sweeping the puck over to Brad May.

Without that pass there is no goal by May.

  • Not a Sabres fan, but even I have to admit that was great. To me there was no better arena in the NHL than the old Aud. I saw my first ever NHL game there and the atmosphere was electric!!!

  • may day may day may day. holla.

  • Hahaha, I love that announcer. Best name he ever said: "Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Barnes!"

  • i wanna move to buffalo just cuz of that announcer

  • I love the Sabres announcer

  • i am very good friends with brad may i met him at a charity event funnniyest gouy ever

  • Sweet, my brother met Colby Armstrong at a grad ceremony, said he's hilarious too.

  • The Sabres announcer is the best.

  • MAY DAY MAY DAY MAY DAY!

  • Awesome vid! Go Sabres!
