  • Seriously BAD lip miming lol......love this tho :)

  • I remember when women used to dress like Sheena Easton I think they called the outfit a jump suite or something like that. Modern girl was the first single I ever bought.

  • 綺麗で可愛かったネ!貴女も曲も歌も~9 TO 5、モーニング・トレイン~何年か前は、ステキなジャズ・ヴォーカルも聴かせてくれた!

  • The GORGEOUS Sheena Orr,, with the hair,,body and voice to LOVE 4 EVER !

  • I used to really fancy Sheena Easton in 1980, I was 20 then...

  • The beautifull Sheena Orr,, with the hair,,body and voice to die for. I have a 1941 Firestone Huge console radio,,and the day i got it to light up and play in 1980,,this is the song i heard on it when it came to life,,and the Bass was incredible from that 15 inch speaker.Today,,July 8,,2011 I still have the huge console in my bedroom,,thanks much for bringing back this memory for me. • Sheena's wearing the same outfit she wore to shoot this video. Bet she can afford to buy a few more now. LOL WTG SHEENA !!!!!!!

  • This song was 30 years ago no.1 in the world charts #sheena #easton

  • her voice is unmistakably memorable smooth like scottish whiskey.what a pleasing high notes she can sing

  • Sheena is gorgeous .....

  • I truley hope that couples, married, unmarried, gay or straight, can lean something from this song about loyalty and devotion to one's relationship. Sadly, it seems like a rare quality these days.

  • This song was 30 years ago no. 8 in the world charts #sheena #easton

  • brill

  • She had a really decent image up until the point when she decided to collaborate with Prince. What was that all about?!

  • este tema en argentina pego mucho ... año 81... te saludo desde buenos aires....

  • I was so in love with sheena even though she was way tod for me. I used to pretend to be the one catching the train. lol. the innocence of youth. good times.

  • She was like the brunette Olivia Newton John really.....

demure, pretty and a good singer.

Nothing like that now! all trash today!

  • I'd like to see Madness & Lily Allen cover this one....

  • the name of the song had to be changed to morning train ( 9 to 5) here in the US because Dolly Parton had a song ( and movie by the same name ) called 9 to 5 which came out few months before Easton's song was released in the US. I think both songs were on the top 100 charts at the same time here in US .

  • How very sad, I remember watching this on Top of the Pops, and remember seeing her on Esther Rantzens show The Big Time, and yes I'm afraid that means I'm very very old :-( Pity she turned all American and lost her Scottish accent and roots.

  • This is feel good music!

  • It was released as 9 to 5 in the UK. However for the US release, they had to rename it 'Morning Train' as Dolly Parton already had a different hit with the name 9-5.

  • I sure miss these simpler times. Even the music was happier . . .

  • Love tis song... alway puts a smile on my face...xxx

  • hit #1 AC, and pop in the US (Billboard). How'd it do in the UK? God bless!

  • Great song!!!

  • isn't this called "morning train" not 9-5? 9-5 was dolly's wasn't it.....just saying

  • Isn't this video/song called "Morning Train" not 9 to 5

  • this is from a time when female artists were more down to earth, grounded and inteligent (AND MORE TALENTED), now the music scene is full of fucked up affected slags slutting it up and strutting about and they bore me to fucking tears!!!!!!!

  • this is from a time when female artists were more down to earth, grounded and inteligent (AND MORE TALENTED), now the music scene is full of fucked up affected slags slutting it up and strutting about and they bore me to fucking tears!!!!!!!

  • Wow, after Prince got a hold of her, she became way tartier. When Prince sleeps with a woman, she changes ain't that for sure! Oh but I will always think of Seinfeld when I hear this.

  • Hard to believe she is younger than Britney Spears is now in this video. She looks so prudish.

  • I fart in your general direction. I do the arm dance because I'm half English, and one day we will rule the world again, through the power of our arm dancing!

  • Well said sir. I join in delivering this insult.

    Arms ready.

  • Huzzah!

  • I would have shagged her back then but not after Prince had his knob in her.

  • Why wouldn't you shag her after Prince? Is it because he's black or did he somehow dried her up?

  • Oh, one more thing. Kenny Rogers was in her honey pot long before Prince did. So whether you shag her before or after Prince, you'll always get second.

  • @tou911 Well, you dont' know where he's been do you?

  • it was released in the uk as 9 To 5

  • wrongly named!? shoulda been Morning Train

  • Probably got Dolly Partons rockets on the mind?

  • Originally titled '9 to 5' in the UK and elsewhere, renamed 'Morning Train' in the States to avoid confusion with Dolly's unrelated song.

  • Her, Pat Benatar and David Bowie have the same hairstylist, obviously. This song plays everynight here, just thought i'd hear it again since it was stuck in my dang head...dang you 80s mega hits!!!

  • I remember having a hairstyle exactly like that.... In 1983! Jump suits were really popular back then in 1980. She must have had a very small clothes budget in those days, as she wore the same jump suit in the video as well!

  • she could've probably filled in for Anneka Rice as the skyrunner in Treasure Hunt in that get-up!!!

  • I love this song

    大好き

  • Them hairstyles on women ! Bloody awful . They all had them the Girls at school had them ! The teacher had them ! My mum had them ! dont remember if i had them i wish though at the time i had Sheena ummm (THEM) !!!!!!

  • @ezekiel919 Blame Dorothy Hamil

  • The Scottish songbird. What a beauty and awesome entertainer.

  • Love it! Sheeen Easton is great, I remember this song very well...but I believe the name of the song is Morning Train...Dolly sang 9 to 5! lol :)

  • Well, it was originally called "9 to 5", but here in the US, they changed the name to "Morning Train" to avoid confusion with the Dolly Parton song and film.

  • prison overalls........nice one!

  • I love that song!

  • She is a tasty peach.

  • 大好き

  • that outfit was cute

  • hmmmmm.. it reminds me my mom's old stuff from the 80s..

  • then get off the page bitch!!!!!!!

  • Whahaha LOL

  • yeah i cant believe this is the same girl from the lover in me video, she looked like a school teacher here, but in that video lover in me, fucking smoking!

  • It was the style then. Lady Di had a similar haircut at that time.

  • Yeah lots of girl celebs back then sported this haircut but if you watch Blondie clips Debbie Harry's hair at this same period was edgy, modern and more stylish. She of course was a punk rock new waver so she stood out.

  • tthis was before she became the sexiest chick ever in the late 80s. she looked so horrible here,

  • She's lip singing, their is no monitor on stage either. Oh well still good vid, haha

  • Not only does she have no new clothes, she has no new voice. If she ain't lipping it, then i ain't barrack obama. And i assure you i ain't.

  • they did good in keeping the outfit from the video. smashing

  • A jujuy llegó en 1982, todos lo bailabamos en La espñola. Que recuerdos !!!

  • Cute little thing with a sweet voice.

  • nice outfit lmfao

  • Clearly remember the first time I heard the record and knew instantly it and she were headed for #1. Then I got the album! Then I got the British version of the album! Then I got the Japanese version of the album!

  • Sheena Easton, 80's at its best! Man, was she beautiful!

  • Folks, if you missed Sheena first time around it's well worth searching out the early albums. You can get them on C.D. with some looking. The European versions are best as the U.S. versions usually omitted tracks and among them, what else, the best. The Japenese versions are even better as they add her single B sides, which in many ways represent the best work she did.

  • I wasn't born in 1980

But I SIMPLY FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG

Loves HER VOICE, TECHNIQUE , EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE, OF COURSE THE MELODY

    Thanks for uploading

  • They had to call this "Morning Train" in the US because Dolly Parton had a hit song at the time called "9 to 5."

  • Great song . recall it from back then. The moral seems rather dated now though - not exactly feminist...

  • LOL I remember when this song was on the radio!! OMG... My family was on a roadtrip to Oklahoma..uhhgggg! Sheena Easton made the trip a little bit better....

  • This was in John Peel's collection of favourite records.

  • JAQJ is a player hater. And Sheela Easton is hot. This is life. Accept it.

  • THREW not THROUGH

  • i love how she kept going after somone through that balloon. she wasnt mad at all sang right to who did it...thats class! hehe

  • Check my remix in the video response list. Kinda cheesy

  • Majib's always on that morning train

    He works like a sloth

To find no one waiting for him

  • Majib takes the morning train

He works from 9.30 to 4

And then he stumbles back again

To his lonely room and cries

  • i love how she is wearing the same outfit from the video lol

  • This should be the Joe Biden theme song!!! LOL

  • LOL

  • lmao

  • What does Imao mean? I don't know what that means.

  • Same as lol. "laughing my ass off".

  • What is roflmao? I don't know what that means.

  • cowboy boots and an oriental pant suit = class

  • The 80s = the worst fashions ever but this was the song I was looking for.

  • You think the '80s had the worst fashions? Obviously you're too young to remember the '70s!

  • you both seem to forget that fashion changes.

it was fashion THAT time, and if we would have had the chance to the the 2000's in the 80's we would have laughed a lot...

  • Crocketts babe..!

  • Great song! Nice chord progressions and of course that classic ascending chorus melody. They had to call this "Morning Train" in America to avoid confusion with Dolly Parton's song "9 To 5". I love the lyrics...ah, I wish I had a little lady at home waiting to make "crazy mad" love to me as soon as I step off the 17:04 from East Croydon! Not sure about her letting her spend my hard-earned pay though.

  • lmfao

  • and it ain't even live. I mean this is the actual record.

  • Aw, come on -- Sheena Easton had a great voice. And she looked cute in a geeky kind of way, before her Princified sexed-up image makeover.

  • She'll turn 50 in April 2009 and she still looks great.

  • it's ridiculous how OBVIOUS her miming is

  • Yeah, it's obvious. But she sure looks nice doing it. Girls today are slobs. Jeans, T shirts, tatoos, piercings... She is dressed nice. Her make up is perfect. Her hair looks good. She has a great voice. She can mime for me anytime she wants to. Thanks Sheena. You are the Babe of Babes!

  • Lip-synching was quite common in TV music performances from the early 1950s through the '80s. Most teen dance and "hit parade" type shows didn't have the time or budget to set up, rehearse, and shoot a live performance. Very often the lead singer would perform live, with a pre-recorded backing track and the musicians pretending to play their instruments. It's just how things were done back then.

  • What can I say other than they are doing something Right in Scotland !!!

  • The best band in the world(The Bay City Rollers),and the best female singer in the world(Sheena Easton).......both come from SCOTLAND!!!!!

  • pity about the manager of the baycityrollers.

  • Is he out of prison yet?

  • Sheena.........MARRY ME!!!!!!!

  • Sheena i love you so much...

    please never die..

  • The girl is nice, the voice better and the song

great! I love this song from her since??

  • Cracking song, unique voice, brilliant middle 8 with an awesome high note. Great arrangement. Absolutely classic '80s pop. Sheena looks really cute too. Unfortunately they don't make 'em like this anymore!

  • I'll bet she had some sugar walls back in the day.

  • no remix/cover could improve on the original.

  • Is there a techno or rap version? ;-)

  • Probably rappers are best at that.

  • What a chick! For your eyes only.

  • I LUV THIS SONG!! LOVE THE CLOTHES!!

  • I LOVE IT SO MUCH TOO! 1980 was a great year for pop art!

  • lol, that´s funny...

    anti-feminism song :)

    like that very much

  • Not anti-feminist. Just traditionalist. Feminism is about women being free to make their own choices, right?

  • Wow! retro Sheena Easton. I love this song. It was a big hit here in the states.

    Thanks for the post.
