Great video, One of the reasons I love to drive the old US Routes is to find places like these. Went to one recently on MD Rte 3 in Crofton. So much to choose from - takes a half hour to decide what to order. A shame the local Silver Diner does not fit the mold as much as it may try.
I'm glad you liked it. There used to be many little places along US 1 towards Baltimore. I recall White Tower in Riverdale by the old Citizen's Bank and Leland Hospital. Remember Little Tavern in Silver Spring and Howard Johnson's up in College Park? These days, even Big Boy and Hot Shoppes are gone. Before I was born, my Mom worked at the old Hot Shoppes next to Fields Buick in Hyattsville. Those were the days!
5/5 and in my fav's. I love these retro diners! There was one just outside of Denver Intl. Airport a few years ago, it actually had great food! I hope it's still there.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. Yep, there was a show that went through Pennsylvania and found many original diners to eat at. There are quite a few "originals" still around the USA. I also miss those smaller version joints like "White Tower, White Castle and our WashDC area Little Tavern Shops." I think White Castle still exists some places.
Cool decor but I expect the wine is crap ?
