a lot of ppl keep saying he got his self together but how? he as a man didn't marry her! the story line leaves us seeing him and her on good terms. She needed financial stability and most importantly his help and money won''t do that.
frankie got on me nerves, but i will say this....i am glad that towards the end he got himself together....many men out there are even worse than him and don't even try to better themselves and just stay in the same old rut
timing is everything but LOVE gives fuck all about timing. love happens when it wants and all else be damned... and most of us are for the sake of it. it's amazing how love can both be the most blessed, and yet, the most cursed thing of all; but without it, life is even more intolerable. it's all fucked up...
dammit..i thought he was going to be a asshole to the end..still though..he put that woman thru hellll..alot of feales can't take that kind of abuse but she held on for her childs sake....we dont know what we have till its gone..if it was ever worth something that could've been more..most times u can't ever get it back..but sometimes..with faith n the persistance thru Gods will...anything can be possible.
sometimes in relationships there comes a time when you just have to seperate and take a break from that person to find yourself and then come back to that person it may hurt at first but sometimes its for the best when you have time to figure things out you come to realize what you actually have and appreciate it more
The part where she cried on New Year's Eve,really got to me ,i felt her pain, like damn baby where you at i miss you so much its New Years Eve and i'm all alone,I got so much pain in my heart bt i kno we cant be together anymore bt my soul is crushed,we used to be in love we used to make love why does it hv to hurt so damn bad........been there
One thing i like the most about this movie is that no matter what is going on in his life, he still remains active in his boys life. Real father, like that.
And finally she cries. I would have cried way back in parts 2, 3 and so forth. The way they acted towards each other in the beginning stages of their relationship was sort of destined for disaster. It was almost as if they didn't even like each other and seemed more enamored with the sexual chemistry. They needed to go through those stresses for them both to climb out of the darkness of their own ego's to see they were looking for love in all the wrong places.
i really hate going out with girls who only think about findind someone to buy them a free damn draaaaannnnkkk instead of just having fun an enjoying the moment out. i mean don't get me wrong i don't mind a dude buying me a drink but i just don't get into that scandal of the only way a dude can talk to me is if buys drinks for me and my girls.
Zora said something interesting at 7:53. She said that at some point they lost themselves, and stop moving. She was right. I remember the scene where she had all of the baby stuff on top of her piano, because she wasn't writing any songs, and of course, Franklin's situation. You can get caught up in a relationship with someone, and forget about who you are. Believe me, I've done it. S/N: If I was Zora, I would have asked Franklin, "Why'd you break up my stuff?" LOL
the part where he is watching her play with the baby from across the street was so sad. he just needed time to straighten himself out to be a abetter man for zorah and his 3 sons. I love that even thou he had his faults he was dedicated to her, and he was determined even if he didn't know how to handle all the stress. and zorah always believed in him even when it hurt. I think this movie is a true definition of what love is and suppose to be. you love even when it hurts and you try to understand
What some of you fail to realize is that there are many men out there who are serious deadbeats, being 10x worse than Franklin. He came back after a year, some guys don't come back til after the kid has graduated from HS or even college for that matter.Serious shit here that's being portrayed.
this movie made me fall in luv with Nina Simone's music (I Get Along Without You Very Well) & Jazz/Blues....i definitely appreciate the black & white slideshows
but u notice how @ the start & the near ending of the movie he was tryn 2 find out if she was seein somebody??? hmmmmmmm thinkn he slick
i love the line when wesley says i couldnt come here till i could lift my head up like a man now i can say that i'm sorry
this often happens in relationships you become so rapped up in each other you forget about your own goals and aspirations in life it, can ruin the relationship at times when you arent with some one who is working towards making their life better
you can become stuck and stop believing in your self and the person you are with
She should of kicked him out along time ago and then he would of got his stuff together along time ago cuz he had her and he didn't think he had to do muc to keep her said but true with most relationships
he never neglected any of his kids.............. he needed to sort his self out an he did jus dat.............. she receiver the baby's money evry month he jus cudn't face her. am glad things turn aroun for both of them.
Her baby was no more important than his first two. Women need to look at that situation more carefully. If they do it to the kids they already have duh......New booty, same sorry sucka feeling sorry for himself.
@ob2be Yes that's true....and that usually happens when there is no soul tie between the two. Romance, sex and charm can only go so far between two people, but if the have a spiritual connection their love for one another wil never die.
i hear what you're saying, but leave JUSTLY1919 alone...there's nothing wrong with saying black love is beautiful and uplifting. We need to see it more, funny mostly what we see is black folks killing each other or treating each other disrespectfully on tv and film most of the time. Black love IS beautiful, and saying that doesn't take anything away from folks of other colors.
@ludwina8000 love has no colour..expression does though, we can't deny there's only so much cinderella story a sister can watch in her lifetime. as long as there's different culture there will always be different methods we're used to seeing it...I didn't grow up watching afican american movies like these so I appreciate it...I think we can both understand @JUSTLY1919 meant black love in that sense
a lot of ppl keep saying he got his self together but how? he as a man didn't marry her! the story line leaves us seeing him and her on good terms. She needed financial stability and most importantly his help and money won''t do that.
