It was almost as if they didn't even like each other and seemed more enamored with the sexual chemistry. They needed to go through those stresses for them both to climb out of the darkness of their own ego's to see they were looking for love in all the wrong places.

Zora said something interesting at 7:53. She said that at some point they lost themselves, and stop moving. She was right. I remember the scene where she had all of the baby stuff on top of her piano, because she wasn't writing any songs, and of course, Franklin's situation. You can get caught up in a relationship with someone, and forget about who you are. Believe me, I've done it. S/N: If I was Zora, I would have asked Franklin, "Why'd you break up my stuff?" LOL

the part where he is watching her play with the baby from across the street was so sad. he just needed time to straighten himself out to be a abetter man for zorah and his 3 sons. I love that even thou he had his faults he was dedicated to her, and he was determined even if he didn't know how to handle all the stress. and zorah always believed in him even when it hurt. I think this movie is a true definition of what love is and suppose to be. you love even when it hurts and you try to understand
