The lyrics of this band is more powerful than anything i have ever heard same with as i lay dying. Underoath and As i lay dying change my train of thought if i'm sad mad or happy. They just make me happier in every way and people that can do that to another is amazing in my eyes.
@11polkadot1 Im not saying he's stupid. In that video, he says when you're in a big band like underoath, you get a big head and start blowing people off cuz you think youre high and mighty. So all im saying by providing the video is that IF he did blow you off etc. then there may be an unjustifiable reason, but a reason nevertheless. personally, everytime ive met him, hes the nicest guy ever, but to some people i guess, hes a dick. that video just says that yeah he was a dick to his fans sometimes
Dude, I appreciated the video a lot. His contribution to Underoath made their sound that much more awesome. I'm not exactly sure why people are dissing Gillespie tho. I feel bad for ya'll who, for some reason or another, have theneed to comment in a negative way. Its completely unnecessary seeing as this is a farewell vid. uncool,
Anyways, to me, he was an inspiration to pursue what you love and to work hard at it. Also he is just sick at the drums and has a great voice! :)
I love the video man!! Everything i did with music was all inspired by him! He was an amazing musician! Ever since i first started drumming he was my hero! and 6 years later he still is!!! Im so glad i got to see him play at the Warped Tour 2009!!
Im glad Aaron left, i went to almost every show they played back in the day of the church shows. Timothy killed this band after corey quit, and then Aaron turned into the biggest asshole after Dallas left...So I say good riddance Aaron.
@Novemberance1 when making this video i wasn't thinking he was a god. I was thinking here's a band that has tremendously and has had a huge impact on the way i think. I think of them as a unit of 6 blocks, if you will. When one of those blocks is gone, it's not quite the same, and it's future impact will not be the same to me; for better or worse, it is still to be seen. therefore, in eyes, he was not a piece of shit, but a part of funcioning whole that changed my life
@Novemberance1 dude, shut up. this is a guy that acctually made it in music, okay .Regardless of what anyone will tell you he was the heart and soul of the band, look at his drum licks, let me see you try and do that, let alone attempt to do it,
and learn your facts before you start spouting of profanitys
warped 2009 i told him how much i enjoyed his music and his voice, he shrugged and said ok and walked away. this also happened to my friend. he is a dick that calls himself a good christian.
@NBBRADSHAW i dont think he has ever said hes a GOOD christian; in fact, underoath says at every show that they're aren't GOOD christians. There is no such thing as a GOOD christian, because everyone has off-days,imperfections,and everone effs up.we can try our best to reach this level of GOOD christianity, but no mere human can ever get there. i am truly sorry to hear that that happened. Maybe you should say something to him, and ask him why he did that. im sure its not that hard to contact him
cuz i wanted to try my best to get him to come to my church..i would love that and i would like him to preach the things that he has went through and his other amazing speaches about God.
@scrumdidilyumpsish ummm twitter, facebook, but probably the best way is just to go to a show of his when he comes to your town and talk to him like next to the buses or something like that. i know randy nichols is the almost manager along with the underoath manager, so that may help maybe. haha
@froggyoathwearsprada only prob about shows is i live in a little rural town called washington in ga...closet show he would is prob in ATL and there is no way i would be able to go :( and im gonna try his fb or twitter...hope i can get him...and thank you for the info
@Novemberance1 didn't he go to Uganda a couple months ago to help the invisible children organization...i have had the pleasure of eating breakfast with him when underoath came to oregon, and he was one of the nicest, open-minded person I know!
@Novemberance1 the fact that you said that only makes you look like a coward cause he is one of the most beautiful person ive met your just a hater....
i can sincerily say... uO saved my life... in skool i wrote an essay abou the biggest influince in my life. i chose uO and that song, its lyrics, were my biggest evidence used in it.... uO stopped suicide, gave me hope, life, and introduced me to metal. i love these guys. ill never stop loving them, even without aaron. the music is pure emotion, the lyrics are real. everyone can connect. uO is the greatest band in the world in my opinion, my life story a reason why. underOath. love you.
"To whom it may concern" this song pulled me out of a really bad time in my life. It was pretty much what made me realize that I needed to get away from my home town...
im kinda pissed because i never got a chance to see aaron with underoath i walked out of warped tour last year as they were comming onto the stage and i will regret that moment for the rest of my life.... rest in peace underoath you're nothing without aaron
cheesehed101...listen to this song...its not the end of the road. UO is still alive, and well, and so is aaron/the almost. dont give up on anyone yet. because it really isnt the end of the road.
@cheesehed101 While he was a big part of the band since it's beggining and probably helped create alot of the music, I'm sure they'll make another great record. It may be different (for better of worse) but I'm still gonna listen.
Something obviously came up. He said in his blog "Things change, people change, AND SOMETIMES CHANGE COMES HUNTING FOR YOU" I hope you're alright Aaron. RIP Underoath. You won't be the same without Aaron. :\
Religion is superstition anyways.

@NBBRADSHAW what do you expect?
do you know how many people tell him that a day?
you had a chance to approach and talk to this guy, and you just had to be like everyone else.
why couldnt you have said something like "good job during the show"
or even a simple, "whats up"
