I love the way she kneels at the beginning. This song has always seemed very prayer-like to me, a basal, organic sort of prayer, in the way that monks will chant together; not just from the musical style, the whole tone is one of reverence and longing adoration. When I learned the translation, that it is an apostrophe to a blue-eyed girl, making heavy use of nature imagery, it seemed even more fitting. What a wonderful song.
