  • Shit happens! More birds are killed by vehicles each year than by oil. I hit three birds yesterday maybe four. They flew across the road and didn't make it to the other side. Life goes on.

  • HAIKU

    I hatch! Crawl! And swim!

Oh how I love my sweet life,

    Don't litter my home.

    —A Green Sea Turtle

  • it is so sad that i want to cry

  • So devistating. I feel so terribly bad for the animals. I hate how we use so much oil. We should just switch to biodiesel. It's cheaper, it supports local farms, and best of all, it's better for the enviroment, and comes from a renewable resource!

  • es ist traurig !

mir tun diese tiere soo leid :(

  • without wildlife, the world wouldn't be the beautiful place it is. thank you.

  • @lakensofa So very true....

  • look at those oiled bodies!

  • @Urstupidumbass It was very sad to see so many of these beautiful birds in our wildlife hospitals. Most of them died. We did our best in 2007 (Cosco Busan oil spill in San Francisco Bay) and released 421 back into the wild (in clean places). Seeing them swimming and free was very rewarding.

  • @MyWildlifeVideos busan as in korea busan? and did korea help with that?

  • @Urstupidumbass The owners of the Cosco Busan were made to reimburse a lot of expenses, but money will never bring back the birds who died horrible, lingering deaths.... :(

  • lol

  • @matagaos Do you think this is funny???

  • if u clean the animal then release is back into the same habitat you saved it from aren't you just wasting your efforts. i mean dawn is owned by proc and gamb.

  • @BiZZiEBucKZ They are released into other areas. We don't want them to get oiled again!

  • LOL

  • @harobmx123 What's funny?

  • fuck kapitalism !!!!

  • I cry

  • @ILIVEMUSIC001 I do, too. I cried when we took care of the oiled birds from the Cosco Busan oil spill in 2007. And then there was the algae bloom in October 2009 and the Gulf oil spill.... And now migrating birds who flew north for summer will return to the Gulf. The marshes are still oiled... how many will die?

  • thats not cool

  • Please consider a 100% vegetal-extracted option for the cleansing of birds. It cleans better (at contact) and you get a residual that you can use it as fertilizer.

What do you do with the cleansing process residual?

Please check my videos and you can know the unique 100% natural solution for cleaning oil covered birds, without attempt against environment.

By the way, BioGrass Extra is approved by EPA.

  • @BioGrass It looks effective. Has it been used on any of the birds in the Gulf Oil Spill or another oil spill?

  • Bless all of you who volunteer your time to help these poor innocent creatures! :)

  • Nature has provided us the most effective toxic oil absorbant! Tie birds together and drag them around the gulf.

  • there had been two incidents of beaching of dead whales in different parts of the Philippines in just a couple of weeks, i hope it's not related to the oilspill... god i hope not! if it is,may he help us all. ..

  • OMG THIS IS SO SAD

  • NIKOLA TESLA could have saved us from this 100 yrs ago! please look it up, he created a wireless energy system that allowed energy to be obtained anywhere on earth! i put up info on my youtube and i demostrate a 20 ft wireless transmission to prove that the system works! we could build it right away and get off of this oil dependence, you can run cars wirelessly and never need oil again. please read tesla's "increasing human energy" it tells you all the reneable resources

  • Help birds, buy a shirt

  • If you ever get gas at BP again...even just going in to buy a drink...you have blood on your hands. And oil.

  • If you heard a crack.. that was my heart breaking</3

  • why cant we get a bowl of water and oil and fill it up with BP ceo and workers and see how they like it?

  • wasent nader who said how long ,has he said it it was 2000 when i first heard him say it .that corprations control america. my question is why are educated hard working people never going to understand naders message.our country has been sold to corpration and we let it happen how sad.

  • i wish i could go and wash the animals but im only 17 i cnt leave and i dnt got money =[

  • you should have used heavy metal

  • y todo por la avaricia del petroleo, usemos energia alterna

  • sad!

  • how did u get this in december 05 because this happened in april

  • @taylorwand oil spills are not new, unfortunately... undersea oil geysers are another story altogether :(

  • so sad............

  • THOSE BP GARAGE BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!! >:(

This video actually made me cry :'( those poor bird I wanna kick those bastards arses!!!! >:((((((((

  • lol what the fuck what a bunch of pussies commenting below, grow up.

  • Diese Tiere tun mir sooo leid. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich helfen... und wir sind schuld, dass es denen jetzt so schlecht geht!!! :-(

  • this makes me mad as hell GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • very beutiful video as well as eye-opening, now with the oil spill that is ocurring in the gulf of mexico is truly sad to see this but I guess this is reality.Thank you for sharing this video. God Bless You

  • Victims of what they had nothing to do with it.

  • Nooooooooooooo! Poor birds! = (

  • This is so sad.. I wish I could help out with this oil spill :( I just cant believe these little birds are dying because of this.. I cant even have a good day without thinking about this oil spill it just makes me sick and now most people cant enjoy going on beaches anymore

  • we need a method to recoup the oil from the birds.... a lot of oil being wasted!

You idiots cry like babies yet your not too sad to go out and get in your freak-en SUV's and drive 20 minutes to a grocery store and buy food?

Save your tears for when you are ready to really sacrifice something, fucken anything? Typical spoiled Americans won't work for shit... won't sacrifice for anything?? As long as you feel better now for crying that is all that counts.

  • Our best friend is Proctor and Gamble. That company donates all of the Dawn we use to wash birds and kitchen implements. It also donates laundry detergent. Wildlife centers have very little, and most comes from donations. It's at least 80% volunteers to staff. I'm staying "home" to help take care of local wildlife, but we have many volunteers at the oil spill. Bless them.

  • I really hope that bp is expelled from the United States after this. In my eyes the only way to put a final cap on this whole disaster would be to banish bp from ever setting a cruddy foot in the country again.

I also am very disappointed that when I am looking at YouTube videos of animals the first thing I see is an add directing me to a bp video with the word FRIEND in it. Google I hope you are charging them an outlandish price and donating the funds to the clean these helpless animals.

  • I offerd to seal all 6 yes 6 leaks two times for free and was denied, that tells me your leader obama wants or needs this so let it be get over it.

  • we as a greedy and so stupid nation,,we are killing the miracle of life,,we will face the the true product of our greed,,,,the death of our so called home,,,THE PLANET EARTH,,,,,

  • its sad how while watching the video, we feel sympathy, yet right after we close it, we forget about it. if only the birds could forget they're covered in toxic oils, oh wait... they cant

  • @doubletwinblade i don't forget about it. i wish i could. it's on the back of my mind all day, and i hate how at times like this, it really feels like there's nothing i can do and one person can't make a difference :(

  • This video is touching, its horrible what is happening we need to change our habbits and save this planet we live on. And for the people who are posting videos making fun of this tragedy. You need to grow up and stop being so selfish, finding humor in something so awful shoes your fucked up.

  • Sad sad sad I cry all day I thught of it all day

  • Humans are a pathetic and doomed species for the devastation and atrocities we commit on our planet and it's ecosystem.

  • The current LMRP Cap is not working. Two thirds of the oil is still escaping into the Gulf. The sooner we recognize the failure the sooner we can move on to a better solution. There should be dozens of LMRP Cap designs in process with the best designs being candidates for consideration as a replacement. I can’t understand why we are waiting. If BP had a solution they would have the well sealed by now. youtube.com/watch?v=FFUGv0iffe0

  • does anyone know if they are letting people clean up?, I heard they are cleaning them and that they are going to die anyway from the cancer, I just am obsessed with going to help, and don't know how!

  • OH GOD, I saw the second picture and had to stop watching, I can't take it, it so horrible!

  • wow..this is really sad and a lot of the people just see it on the news and flip to another station while saying "sucks for them" but its our fault because when did those helpless little animals ever need that oil....they didn't....we did...which is why it is our job to help fix what we destroyed.....if anyone has any good ideas try to let me know how to help!

  • wow i cant belive this happend it all happend so fast....it is sooo sad to even watch it makes me want to cry...... we all got to keep up our hopes for these poor bird. :(

  • hey guys ya im sad for all the birds but have u came to relise about all the kids in 3rd wold countrys that die every day becuse they cant drink water i say i can live knowing animals are dead its sad knowing that i can spend thousands upon thousands on house car food and they cant eat rotten meat

  • that is so depressing... those poor little things :(

  • It's time that we stop thinking of ourselves and do somthing far better then oil for transportation. I say electric cars would be a better way to go. Horse and buggies. If the amish can do it, well then we can do it. It's how it all started, but many will disagree with me cause this world sits too high up on a pedestal and too spoiled to greed.

  • Anyone who buy dawn dishwashing liquid. Please don't forget to get the code located on the back, and go to dawnsaveawildlife. For everyone you buy, a 1.00 is donated to helping the wildlife. Please remember that every little bit helps.

  • We can blame the Brittish petroleum, Americans, we can even blame Obama, we can blame people who drive cars, the CEO from BP, but one things for sure. We can't blame the Amish. Besides, blaming does no good. Get in their and do somthing about it.

  • Now more birds will die because of the oil spill caused by BP. The head guy at BP says wants his life back. What a smug jerk!

  • @CR10406 We all need to take care of this planet,I emaild the President about the Gulf spill Maybe the people of the world should care about the Gulf. This oil is going everywhere in our water.Who pays the price ?Yea gas will go up,But the real price is the lives of the animals, birds fish.To the people of Louisiana ,I pray it gets over soon.cat

  • @CR10406 Yeah, i watched that on the news couple od days ago, and i thought, how selfish. BP won't get any of my business.

  • @TheGuitarFreakazoid i care about both but all humans do is deastroy because 99% of only care about money and about ourselves and nothing els as u can see. im so grateful to those who are hellping the animals. as soon as i graduate im going to mexico to help as much as i can.

  • @TheGuitarFreakazoid

    Absofriggenlutely R$t*rd !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'll bet it all that 10 times as many sea birds are killed by a hurricane than an oil spill.

  • @CptCryBaby but the only difference is it being natural. This isn't natural. The greedy people are the cause of it, so because we all must face our own actions, and do somthing about it reguardless of whos at fault.

  • @TheGuitarFreakazoid

wtf are you saying? ITS HUMAN'S FAULT; NOT BIRDS FAULT , IF HUMANS DONT ''DISCOVER'' THE OIL, NOTHING THIS WOULD HAPPEN, WE ARE THE PROBLEM MAKER, NOT THE ANIMALS!

  • And to think OBAMA approves of more off shore oil drilling.....

  • I invite everyone to see my heavy metal music video called OIL IS BLOOD. It was done 2 years ago. Even more relevant today. So eerie it freaks me out.

  • This is freakin' sad.

  • only the fallen huma's beings do this evil things and all the history.

  • This current situation, in the Gulf should be top priority, we can put a man on the moon, surely the answer to gathering this oil is there, but wait what will it cost? That my friend is the problem I say we start pouring concrete pipe with a large enough diameter to go around this well, and one section at a time keep stacking it until it reaches the surface where it can be dealt with, this ain't brain surgery!!

  • All creatures contribute to how the earth works, dumb ass its called a ecosystem!

  • I guess we could say anyone who uses petroleum products, from cars to plastic bags, is contributing to the consumption of oil. How many plastic items do we own? As long as we demand these products, countries will continue to drill for oil, first on the land and then in the ocean.

  • @MyWildlifeVideos First let me say: Happy Mother's Day to Mother Earth.

True...they will continue to extract oil from Mother Earth.

Keep in mind there is an end to everything.

We are not an exception to that rule.

Additionally, oil is the blood of the Earth...

This recent Spill in the Gulf will be the beginning of the End.

We as a species have been given our nine lives...

which may have been one to many.

It is a crime punishable by universal law, that so many lives be lost from the sea.

  • I vow to never shake a baby, or to oil a bird!

  • @Ekaboodante exactly. humans are fucking greedy. we drag an entire planet down with us. we are ecologically worthless.

  • @guitarman2793

Well put and I might add, it wasn't always this way (as you put it).

These experiences that we suffer now are well known problems by many who lived before us. A great Musician (guitarman) need not play a lot of notes to be great, and man need not take so much as to be powerful. In some parts of this same world a man is judged by what he gives, not what he possesses. I understand your anger, keep in mind KARMA is a bitch...nothing out runs universal law...yo write a song, ok.

  • Somehow, I think the only way to prevent these disasters is to cultivate a world with less humans. Less population needs less energy and less vehicles and less resources. We need to do all we can to control human birth and to educate about ecosystems and damage from greedy politicians who ignore ecosystems. It's all about ecosystems and until every tiny 5 year old knows the meaning of that word, we are doomed.

  • @durgaaa

Correct: It has already been written,

this tragedy and ours eyes to behold it's magnitude of destruction

    ...This is mankind's blame!

The World clock has officially begun...

This is NOT just an oil leak...it is much much more then that.

With $980 Billions dollar spent to bailout banks, Our President could have stopped this leak with Petty Cash..If He Cared To!

Make no mistake, this is no accident...

We are fool's..."Hell have No Fury like Mother Nature" brace for impact.

  • To Help the National Wildlife Federation save wildlife in the Gulf people can Text WILDLIFE to 20222 to donate $10 and please tell your friends!

    /watch?v=k7t9gWBeA8s

  • I think God has make mistake to create human like us.

  • @theartofluv its not gods fault that we are all idiots. im not trying to cause a problem but if we could all get common sence this wont happen :)

  • @theartofluv

God didn't make a mistake creating us,

we made a mistake in the way we thanked him.

We thrashed his planet, and now we have to be evicted...

Guess what, we have nowhere to go....what fools we are.

  • I would seriously work full time volunteer and clean all these birdies:(

  • II dont agree with either party. The Republicans may have said Drill baby Drill, but now isnt the prssident the one saying DRILL!!!

  • hey what the hell

  • I hate my mankind!

    Johnny Cool, Montreal, canada

  • Oh God! This could be the worst man-made wildlife disaster of all time!!

I will do what I can to help. This must not be allowed to continue!

  • I used your video on this FB Group. Thank you!

Gulf Coast Oil Spill - Take Care of Our Planet and It's Occupants!

  • @MyWildifeVideos I mean I linked to it. Thank U!

  • Thank you very much for making and posting this great video.

  • What is going to happen to the birds in the Gulf of Mexico? This is devastating.

The first week of May is the peak migration, when about 25 million birds a day are coming across the Gulf, many using Louisiana for their first landfall.

    What can be done?

  • @pfstewart333

    Prayers may help...

    leave plastic bags alone,

don't drive if you don't need to,

    Recycle all you can,

    reuse everything you can,

    energy efficient house proofing,

Keep in mind these examples are long, long over due...slow down on plastic consumption and combustion fossil fuels...one person does make a difference, it all adds up and very quickly. Look how quickly this Spill destroyed millions of years of evolution in a moment.

One mistake for all time, No time for one mistake.

  • Its the birds faults they shouldn't have been swimming in the good stuff. OMG now i guess everybody is going to want to save ocean wildlife and stuff lol. they are just dam animals who needs em? some say we do cause harm to the food chain and stuff, Hah hah a ha. Food chain what do we need a food chain for? Maybe so we can put it on our chain saws so we can do some more deforestation. Ha ha ha. Then somethings about trees absorbing CO2 ha ha. ALternative fuel Ha ha ha. who needs it? Great video!

  • @wolfgang8u

Exactly...what do we need anything for...Ha ha Ha...seems this world is good for nothing with healthy wild life, forest, fresh air, clean water etc. Huh...crack in the shell of the Earth from Nuclear Blasts...yeah....or hey how about when all the oil is gone and the core over heats...YEA!!!! All the fish will die...LMAO! Think about it...what a reason to live for...everything is dead around me and I can't breath, or drink water, or eat anything....what a great place it will be.

  • Keeping one political party or another out of office will not solve this problem ...... it's not that easy ..... This world is going to hell no matter who is in charge ...... Back to the subject .....This is really hard to watch , it breaks my heart to watch this .... thinking of how they suffered ......

  • this is so sad!

it brought tears to my eyes!

I am going to write my speech on oil spills and how it affects the earth in school beacuse we are having a contest!

  • In light of the current Gulf spill, how ironic were the campaign slogans of the Republicans in the 2008 election (DRILL BABY DRILL!!)? When are we going to wake up and stop destroying our environment and the lives of innocent animals?! :')

I donated more than $4000 in that campaign to keep McCain, Palin and others like them from getting elected and I'm FAR from rich!

    Thanks for an enlightening video!!

  • @Skydancer365 Thanks for your comments. I hoped this video would bring the plight of oiled wildlife into the open for more people. IBRRC, together with the Oiled Wildlife Care Network, is on full alert for this current spill in the gulf.

  • @Skydancer365 Can't agree more. The Republicans are nothing but greedy oil men. Selfish and cruel towards any wildlife.

  • @Skydancer365 We anticipate the oil will reach the shores of Louisiana on April 30, 2010. More devastated wildlife... polluted wetlands.... horrible.

  • @MyWildlifeVideos

Oh God! This is horrible! I will do what I can to help! This cannot be allowed to continue! :'(

  • @MyWildlifeVideos

Horrible is a shared emotion I have as well. Horrible is in no way a description for the totality of impact both short and long term. Mankind is way out of line and this planets ability to get even is to be expected. We are privileged to occupy the same space as everything else on this planet, we are also being rude and disrespectful (all of us are to blame). The death of all life forms from this tragic error, planned or unplanned, is blood on our hands...all our hands.

  • @Skydancer365 I agree..but there will still be a large number of ignorant retards out there that can't validate their arguments for wanting republicans in office..they're all a bunch of clowns

  • @Skydancer365

(Buy foreign oil baby BUY!) $4000 dollars would buy a really nice bike. If you are waiting for politics to solve problems then don't hold your breath. There is a ditch on both sides of the road. Vote with your dollars at the marketplace. We are being programed to be consumers from birth. What needs changing is between our ears. Oh, and more bike trails. Cheers.

  • Yes - and how ironic that Barack Obama was the largest recipient of campaign contributions from BP....

Republicans are not the only guilty ones here...

  • nice try to dump this on republicans, but this is OBAMA'S baby. we have a republican governor in bobby jindal down here, and we are very happy to have him leading the way to save our state. the liberal in the white house is trying to shut down all oil production for 6 months because of the one accident, which is absolutely retarded. do we shut down the airline industry because of one airline crash? no so don't shut down healthy oil wells because there was a problem with 1. HERE'S OBAMA'S KATRINA

  • @UNOprvtr1

    Yeah. DRILL BABY DRILL!

Goddess! You people are going to destroy our country!

  • ONLY MAN CAN HELP OR END THE WORLD?

  • omg stop pouring oil in the ocean look at all these birds that are dying ;(

  • THIS IS HOW THEY DIED:: they used their beaks to preen oil out of their feathers and then the oil got stuck in their beaks and they couldn't eat and eventually died of starvation...that or they were killed by suffocation or their body intook some oil =[

  • @metsfano44 They died of hypothermia (their feathers no longer insulated them) and starvation (they couldn't fly and hunt for food) and were also killed by predators, as they couldn't get away from them. Yes, there was definitely oil in their beaks, which they swallowed, and made them sick or killed them. Also, the oil burned their delicate skin, eyes, and feet. Oil spills cause terrible, slow, painful deaths.

  • @MyWildlifeVideos yea all the same it killed alot of beautiful birds

  • ha ha ha this is funny stupid animals, im going to dump oil all over them

  • @sk84life654 Your comment is an excellent illustration of your cruelty and ignorance.

  • @MyWildlifeVideos lol im jokein chill

  • @sk84life654 OK

  • You're a fucking moron! It's fucktards like yourself that make people who hate this environmental injustice to ball their fists and go to town on your face. We better not meet.....

  • @JohnnyToothless loll what are u going to do hug a tree.

  • When it said oiled birds, it wasn't what I had in mind.....

  • this is so sad.

i feel sorry for all those helpless animals.

i wish i could help them.

i love animals so much and seeing them like this just brakes my heart.

    :'(

  • @kavila28 It broke my heart, rescuing and taking care of them in November, 2007, when we had the huge Cosco Busan Oil Spill. We'll never know how many birds died as a result. We took in over 1,000 birds and released 421. The rest died or had to be euthanized. :( Very very sad

  • OMG... WHAT STUPID FUCKS WILL WANT 2 DO THAT PORR BRIDS... i will never hurt animal the way some evil people do

  • i can´t watch this..... this makes me crying and that was not what i wanted right now

  • It made me cry, too, but you will also see birds being rescued, admitted to bird hospitals...and washed. As more people become aware of the terrible consequences of oil spills, perhaps communities will rise up and insist on stricter regulations. And laws will be passed. Prevention is number one, followed by a fast, thorough response. And good care for these unfortunate birds.

  • i need help i just saw a bird inside an oil gallon but i dont know how to take care of it!!! im serious!! quick!! before he dies!!

  • If you haven't done so already, contact your local Humane Society, SPCA, or wildlife hospital. I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner.

  • @MyWildlifeVideos

we took care of it thanks

  • Poor bird

  • the damn antichrist did this

  • the evil that humans do

  • im sad... :-( great video though!

  • So what really happens? The oil goes into the water?

  • The oil floats on top of the water and washes up on the beaches and rocks. The oil coats the birds feathers, and some of it is ingested. It burns their eyes and delicate skin. They can't fly, so they can't escape predators. Their feathers are no longer waterproof, so the cold water of the ocean soaks through to their skin, chilling them. The oil is caustic and they bleed internally. It's a painful, terrifying death.

  • i hate watching this it makes me sad :(

    and shut up darth vantos

  • No, dumb@sses like you are the cause for high gas prices.

  • whats the song called? :O

  • The music is Cavatina, composed by Stanley Myers, and used as the theme music in Michael Cimino's 1978 movie, The Deer Hunter.

  • yay sank yuu

  • sad there has been today a oil spill in galapagos islands 06/17/09

    poor creatures

  • poor birds

  • Very SAD Story Indeed!

  • Unfortunalty the cleaned birds normaly have a 0.6% so cleaning them realy is pointles. (Nature.1997.dec4.v390.pg449(2))

  • Birds must be rehabilitated before they are washed. We would like their blood to have a PCV of 40 or better. Anemic /sick birds are not candidates for washing. We have to get them on the road to wellness first. When IBRRC started taking blood tests before washing, we had a much higher success rate. We don't release a bird unless he is healthy. Protocols for oiled birds are always evolving, and more birds are surviving.

  • this is so sad i want to do something about it

  • After the Cosco Busan oil spill in November, 2007, in San Francisco Bay, IBRRC took in 1,084 birds. Found dead in the field: 1,858 Died/euthanized: 653. Released: 421.

There have been oil spills all over the world. Wildlife has really suffered, especially the aquatic birds and marine mammals. The oil burned their skin and eyes and caused internal bleeding. They suffered horrible deaths.

Oceans. bays and wetlands were contaminated.

    Very sad.
