Who plays the announcer? God, is he annoying. Good symbolism of how Pink (or Roger, you know) is so loony by this point. I think the zombie thing symbolizes decay.
Strange and unusual show to begin with but what's to be expected from a mid blowing album like The Wall? I have never heard this version and like it better when the announcers part is a lot shorter but who am I to judge....they didn't ask me for my opinion after all.
@alanray1967 it almost seems like the band wasnt ready or something, like maybe a sound malfunction which is why they were playing a little bit before the song, it seemed like he was running out of things to say also, he said "i think the band is about ready to begin now" twice lol
@thedoorsforever256 Being that it IS a Pink Floyd show, the zombie running out of things to say and repeating himself kind of adds to the experience. Especially for those who are on LSD or shrooms. I like the zombie, myself. I think he's pretty funny.
It didn't sound to me like there was a malfunction, or that the band was out of sync.
@JCM1325 ya maybe not its kidna hard to tell because they wont realease this on DVD!!! =( sad day, haha but ya it does really in a way. almost anything could happen in a pink floyd concert and the audience would think it was intentional
@thedoorsforever256 You couldn't have said that better - even if the biggest blunders were to occur, the audience would think it was part of the show. That's what I was trying to say initially. I percieved it as intentional when the band started both sets before the house announcers finished their speeches. Whether it was, or not, just something that minute is what MAKES that the Pink Floyd experience.
@Dunes I'm guessing it's supposed to represent how messed up Waters' mind is at this point, as towards the beginning the MC's normal but now he's twisted, but it's still odd.
@feromede second rendition there's two In The Flesh versions on the album they both have different lyrics...

How did they do this? The surrogate band members look exactly like the original members? Is this some kind of mirror magic tech or something?

@513986916 They wore masks, you can see the masks on the cover of the "Is There Anybody Out There" Live CD that came out a few years ago.

"There's one smoking a joint and
Another with spots

do no take it personal, but, you put it on 1080p and still looks bad... there is no point in uploading a originally bad quality video into HD...

Is it me or does this version of In The Flesh swing more than the one with the surrogate band?

Waters is beginning to despise everything to do with showbiz especially the 'fake' and 'sad' announcers or 'TV hosts'
