In 1979, my Indonesian friends at UB, Gunawan Sulliavan, Andreas Yuwono, & I instituted an annual event at the university, typically held in late March or early April, titled International Fiesta. I am glad to see that some 30 years later, it is going strong. Please convey my regards to Pat Kujawa, et al. at UBs Student Association. Is Rosemary Mecca still there or did she also retire like Mary Brown.

Wow, that's really interesting! I never would have expected to hear from someone with such history. Unfortunately, I'm just a (now former) student who had a few friends performing in International Fiesta, so I don't know any of the people you mentioned. Sorry I can't be of any help regarding that. It's really interesting to hear about the history of International Fiesta though. I had no idea it went so far back!

crap i put the thumbs down by accident, i meant to put a thumbs up for that, but anyway THANKS FOR THE INFO, i love International Fiesta, I am bumping into my last semester as an Undergrad and have taught International Fiesta for the Organization of Arab Students for 5 years. Certainly hell of a experience with our well know dance called Dabkeh. LOVE IT ! N Amazing job by other student clubs.

great stuff!! once again, That has to be some special feeling to you and your friends, that's amazing!! this year i am sittin on the side with a ticket waiting for me and ill be watching the clubs perform and do their thing. I will for sure take pictures and record.
