Its good to be in shape..even i was suffering from obesity and i can't work out in a gym. I came across a program which said it works...I tried it out and i think I am in pretty much good shape now. You can check this program on this link..
@xxGing I have found that carbs give me a rush but it is a very fast high and then a very fast crash. Protein gives me a gradual rise, not as fast and high as carbs, but the protein last longer so I dont eat as much. Take a look at different protein alternatives, you might be suprised! Thanks for watching!
Great acheivement. You friend must feel better about himself. However, calorie counting is tough. He may fall of the wagon. He needs to be able to change his body from carb burning to fat burning type. 600cals for the entire meal is a really hard for me.
I count calories & don't exceed daily calorie allotment regardless what I eat. Typically though,a banana for breakfast, a couple of "100 calorie" snack packs, lean cuisine & fruit for lunch & then dinner not exceeding 600 calories. Also,we immediately place leftovers in the fridge BEFORE we eat dinner. Eliminates temptation for seconds & extra calories.I also drink water(around 3 quarters of a gallon each day)which helps feel full & stay hydrated! It makes you feel GREAT!I Hope this helps..Stephen
Great! congratulations to your friend! I've lost 65-70 myself over the last few months, too.
One thing that I get from a drive-thru is at Wendy's. I'll get a side salad (with reduced fat Ranch) and a small chili. It's comes to $2.81 here and is pretty filling and tasty (probably around 350-400 calories). It's my normal lunch during the working week.
any updates?

The hardest part for me is cutting down on carbs, not so much because I like them, but because I feel like crap with out them.

You can still go to Taco Bell.
Their Crunchy Taco "Fresco Style" is only 145 calories apiece.

Sugar based foods... it's amazing how many products have 40% or more sugar content.
My wife has the early indications of Diabetes.
One shot... that's right.
