  • Re-elect Obama. He led America out of the recession mess left by the Republicans. Only morons would vote Republicans back into office, for another four years of Bush/Cheney.

  • The problem is inflation. Yes I think minimum wage should be higher. The government should be more concerned about inflation first. If not the value of the dollar will depreciate even more.

  • Raising minimum wage lowers the value of the dollar, and encourages people to work minimum wage jobs.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia2 it doesn't lower the value of the dollar, that doesn't even make sense. -.- and no one WANTS to work a minimum wage job, no one is going to go "well hey, I could get a 20 dollars an hour job, but hey! that minimum wage job is looking pretty sweet, ill go with 10 dollars an hour instead.

  • @darkmantlestudios But people will think to themselves "hey i could put myself tens of thousands of dollars in debt and not get paid for 4 years, or i could get a job now"

Yes it does lower the value of a dollar this is really basic stuff, have you taken a single economics class in your life?

  • @MoldytoasterMedia2 No they won'.t minimum wage is much higher here in Canada, and I am currently 20k in debt, cause I went to university because, even at 11 dollars an hour, because McDonalds does not appeal to me.

And no it doesn't or when the government here jacked up the minimum wage 2 dollars prices would have went up, and they didn't. and yes I did take an economics course, but I realize that most of it was pure theory, the practical application has proven the theory wrong in this case.

  • @darkmantlestudios Wow, I said because like 3 times in the same sentence, total brain fart there.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia2 Unless the USA has a different economic system and or economic regulations, of course. It could happen in the states I suppose, lord knows you guys lack basic economic safe guards.

  • @darkmantlestudios Let's take it to an extreme hypothetical situation. If minimum wage was $100 an hour, we can both agree that would lower the value of the dollar, right?

How is raising it $2.50 an hour any different? It will not lower the value of the dollar as much, but it will still have the same cause and effect, just to a smaller degree.

This is such simple stuff, I'm amazed people don't understand.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia2

How is raising $2.50 an hour different from $100?

    What?

  • Mitt Romney Is on Ibogaine

  • If Mitt Romney is elected he will treat the upper middle class on down - with absolute malice.

This is guy is cold as he is calculating.

  • The minimum wage is bad for the little guy because it discriminates against low skilled workers, preventing them from selling their labor at competitive prices. It also works to block them from getting on-the-job experience, which would lead to higher paying jobs in the future.

  • @fermista I disagree. Higher skilled workers get paid more than minimum wage, which allows the lower skilled workers to stay competitive. For example, someone who has worked retail for a while and has garnered the skill to sell products can get a job at somewhere that pays more (and probably commission too).

  • @LaptopMobsta From the point of view of someone whose skill level would justify a pay level well below the minimum wage, this "upward movement" of other workers to higher paying jobs doesn't have much of an effect for them, because higher skilled jobs for them are still minimum wage jobs. For this very reason, very low skilled workers are forced to sell their labor at the same rate as many other workers with a higher level of skill.

  • legalize pot you old morman elf lelftist douchebag dimebag darrell

  • In my province ( In Canada ) the minimum wage is $11.28

  • Oh dang fool, If Romney is gonna raise the minimum wage then I just gots to vote for him because I am an uneducated idiot who really believes that $0.25 / hour is gonna fix my screwed up life.

Ron Paul is the answer to our problems.

  • But if they index minimum wage to inflation, they won't be able to use their sneaky Keynesian tactic of inflating the currency to cut wages without people noticing!

  • Well I live in WA state which has the highest minimum wage in the country at $9.07/hour and we're doing just fine. :D

  • dont feed the troll guys, let it go.

  • I rather have the Minimum Wage at $5 hr and gas prices at $1.20 like they used to be in the 90's. The working man is screwed now these days, wait till this summer when gas prices hit $6. Think about it

  • Look they're waving the American flag behind the words Young Turks. How can anyone take this show seriously? How stupid can you get?

  • @detroitsux111 and this guy isn't even young anymore.. LMFAO!!!

  • @detroitsux111 are you trying to say that because cenk happens to be turkish, the american flag shouldn't be behind him and the name young turks shouldn't be taken seriously? or don't you know that the title of the show is a historical reference to the young turks of the ottoman era, who sought to reform the absolute monarchy of the ottoman empire? as for your last question, maybe you should ask yourself.

  • @grahamzhiser Did you know that Turk is usually used to describe people who live in TURKEY just like the Young Turks you referred to? And that an American flag is usually used to promote patriotism of people living in, AMERICA? The historical significance of the Young Turks as a brand name is about tactful as a poorly translated brand name as it quickly gives the impression of foreign interests and insensitivity to American culture, which is apparent in this bigoted, show.

  • @detroitsux111 lol please explain how the show is bigoted, your argument is very weak. and why so xenophobic about turkish people?

  • @grahamzhiser I said nothing about Turkish people. I simply said Turkey is another country. You keep going back to racism as if anyone who says this "news" show is a joke is automatically a racist xenophobe. First, this show sucks because it apologizes for a fake liberal president. Second, it's obviously an attack on American culture the way he cherry picks pop entertainment topics and gives an anti-anglo, anti-christian slant with childish attacks, which is bigoted in itself.

  • @detroitsux111 If you hate TYT so much and are going to be such a whiny bitch and bother everyone, then just stop watching.

  • Raising the minimum wage only hurts the poor. Yes those making minimum wage get a slight pay increase put those that made slighty above it are now making minimum wage while the prices of goods are increased to make up for company's loss in profit thus making things worse for the poor and middle class. It sounds good in theory but all companies will do is make their goods cost more thus putting the poor back in the same situation they were in while still also hurting everyone else.

  • @TheDarkEmporer

Not only is your little bullshit theory completely wrong it also completely disregards the tough situation of minimum wage families. Basically you're saying, screw the poor if it touches the ones that don't have it as bad. You know what, that's exactly what the 1% elitist do, just one step lower.

Adjusting for inflation is the most reasonable thing ever and other countries do it. Whats the point in determining a MINIMUM if it can wither way below the original minimum later on.

  • @Phyrexious Raising the minimum wage screws the poor because it makes life harder on all poor people not just those making minimum wage. Its an endless cycle. Obviously you know little about economics. It isnt a "bullshit theory", It happens every time. Sure it helps in the short term but it does more damage in the long run. I never said screw the poor but raising the minimum wage doesnt help. Your urge to through around what I only assume is meant to be insults shows your ignorance.

  • @TheDarkEmporer

It's funny how many people on youtube claim to be "king of economics" when they make so many dumb comments all the time.

First of all, ENDLESS cycle?? I see you like to exaggerate.. It's far from endless as all you need to do is to determine a fair minimum income for what society deems minimum living. All civilized countries do this effectively.

Secondly, are you honestly trying to argue that for the poor, setting a minimum wage DECREASES their standards of living?

  • @Phyrexious It is a endless cycle, raising the minimum wage increases the cost of everyone's standard of living thus making the poor want another increases in the minimum wage. It doesnt help anything in the long run. Also you dont need to be a "king of economics" its a pretty simple concept. If you increase wages the cost of goods go up thus leading for the desire of another pay raise because the increase in cost nullified the first one.

  • @Phyrexious and it does decrease the standard of living of those making just above minimum wage while not helping hose making minimum wage at all. Not to mention with the current economy that is in a desperate need of jobs, raising the minimum wage decrease the number of new jobs offered and force some smaller companies to fire people.

  • @TheDarkEmporer

Wow, so you're actually that delusional to think that someone making 8 bucks won't be better of making 10 bucks minimum wage instead... I guess in your mind the "cost increase" will also be exactly 2 bucks? There's no point arguing with someone who doesn't want to admit he's wrong.

Claiming the middle class (who can afford it) to be a little worse off is one thing, but to claim the poor not being better of with a bit more money is the dumbest thing on youtube this week. Grats.

  • @sfsd911 Your incompetent that is why you voted for Obama. If you want change vote for Ron Paul. This country already had enough CEO's running it... You should just vote for Goldman Sachs if you want a "CEO"...

  • canada's minimun wage, $10.65

  • Mitt Romney is rich, but he is a moderate working for the poor. Liberals and independents should vote for him since Obama is incompetent. I voted for Obama, but I regret it now. I want a change. This country needs an experienced CEO like Mitt Romney.

  • And this guys laugh is gay, rage on something else u stupid Turk

  • U guys are fags, who cares if he's made some mistakes, MIT Romney is the best president we could have right now.

  • Why is this guy on here talking about it? Are we supposed to just take people's word for it? Post Mitt saying what he is supposed to have said and then maybe people can make up their own minds. Makes absolutely no sense to believe somebody that can't tell the facts without calling names! IMO this guy is just an arrogant know-it-all (not) jerk!!

  • Thank you! Romney is a flip, flopping joke.

The Economist also did an article called, "Monsters Inc." that shows that Romney and Bain Capital didn't create jobs or much value for that matter.

  • @bynddrvn5 So you meant his comment about the "very poor" is a flip-flop too? Then you should vote for him.

Mitt Romney is rich, but he is a moderate working for the poor. Liberals and independents should vote for him since Obama is incompetent. I voted for Obama, but I regret it now. I want a change. This country needs an experienced CEO like Mitt Romney.

  • @sfsd911 Don't listen to what people say, watch what they do.

Mitt Romney doesn't care about anyone other than the super rich. This is why his poll numbers went into the crapper when he was governor of MA.

  • 1:26 Whole-heartedly agree. I mean, the guy's so blatantly obvious. Serious idiots.

  • If there was no minimum wage, I'd probably have a job. Anybody else like this?

  • I wish America had a no confidence vote for every public office just a way to hold these scumbags accountable for their actions.

  • Denuse Richards said of GWBush, he was born with a silver foot in his mouth, and he was borm on third base and thought he hit a triple.

  • @rsty614 big business is not the same as a mom and pop cafe you spanner

  • @SevyShasha so a mom and pop cafe should pay taxes but a big business shouldn't? if a small business like mine can afford to pay taxes than these big businesses should too

  • @rsty614 I agree...I am a crazy capitalist evil guy as many a liberal would say...but I am not in favor of having two sets of rules for small businesses and others for big business, especially when it favours big business. That is why arguing for paying their fair share is total BS. They already don't pay their fair share, so RAISING taxes only hurts mom and pop cafes while yet again big business is not hurt. Lowering taxes helps mom and pop - but liberals are against that LOL

  • @SevyShasha

No liberals are not against that, but keep on rolling with those strawman arguments.

You have nothing else to argue with.

  • @SevyShasha I am a capitalist as I run my own business, if you think that small business is getting killed by taxes, you are misinformed, most business owners pay a much smaller amount than their own employees; raising taxes only helps pay for shit in our country, helps the deficit, and can give incentives for businesses to hire, increasing employment throughout the country, unless you just don't give a shit about that stuff, bush passed massive tax cuts in 03 where are the jobs?????

  • @rsty614 I hope this is not a Warren Bullshit Buffet story of how he pays less than his secretary. Income tax is only part of the whole tax story and even if that income tax percentage is lower, the actual dollars paid may be higher. 30% of a lazy workers $20,000 salary is 6,000, while just 10% from a rich guys $1mil would be 100k. But I guess because he isnt paying 30% he is not paying his fair share right...yeh what an asshole that rich guy is.

  • @SevyShasha first of all, fuck your lazy worker comment, second of all, I pay more in actual money than my employees, I'm not talking percentages, I mean I pay more than my employees, when I worked fast food in college I paid more than I do now; and nobody I know who makes a million dollars pays that much in taxes, you don't know what you are talking about

  • @rsty614 You are intentionally misleading people about your taxes. Don't cherry pick one tax you pay and compare it with something else to conclude OMG THE RICH DONT PAY ANYTHING OMGOMG. You say nobody who makes a million dollars pays a million dollars in taxes. Yes...that is because that would be 100% of your money taken from you by Obama so he can continue his SHIT welfare state programs. Mitt Romney paid $14million in taxes in 2010 and I bet you still complain it is not enough.

  • @SevyShasha you're straight up lying now, Romney paid $3 million in taxes, he just released that info last night, he paid less than 15%! no that's not enough for a non job creating person, it should atleast be 35%, oh thats right you still think that if some hedge fund manager gets to pay no taxes that will somehow create jobs for you, good luck with that for the next 10 years of trying it, Romney can't even beat the schmucks in the GOP, they are beating him like a rented mule

  • @SevyShasha ---

    "mom and pop cafes"

Rofl hope you don't use that as example in an exam for your British professors.

  • Minimum wage should be $10, period.

  • hmm, why would top comments not show the top comments, i call shenanigans :/

  • want to know what needs to be cut? congress retirement funds, they get 100% of what they made in office for the rest of their life and only have to serve 1 term. also, if they serve in both houses, they get the income of both, that's roughly 150-300k (1 house or both) a year to every person who has ever been in congress. but, in the military, you have to serve 20 years and get half of what you were earning. also, illegal immigrants can get SS, foodstamps and the like. make sense? no

  • Lol Cenk Yeah Cenk you hit it on the nail. Romney is like the guys at Goldman Sachs. Someone sent me comments heard inside the Goldman Sachs elevator and one of them was, "I don't give money to panhandlers because I don't believe in rewarding failures." This is the real Mitt Romney.

  • Actually, fish oil has far more crediblity than Mitt Romney. I think Cenk meant "snake" oil.

  • @BottleConcreteBlond That's exactly what i was thinking, thank you. }:)

  • artificially rising wages doesn't cause inflation, but does cut employee spots if the company can't afford to hire workers due to the amount of money used to pay workers split thus cutting jobs.

  • Mw should be lower to $6/hr

  • New Zealand has $13 minimum wage. O_O

  • Rich fucks can't relate to regular people. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. & He never served in the Military but talks tough about military actions. We got a name for that, Chickenhawk. Rich, white country club mother fucker in bed with the Z.O.G. Dogs. He gets to go on his fucking yacht while more middle & lower class kids drive around in I.E.D. land. Fuck him, & Fuck mormans & their moral crusade.

  • @Friedstuffsable Lol, I'm Mormon and i fucking agree with you. Romney can smd.

  • I think your missing the bigger picture here. Romney is making a populist concession to match the increased populism of his opponents. The story here is that the conservative powers at large will not call this proposal liberal because they know that its just a trick. So yes, Romney won't come through, but it shows that his campaign feels like a more populist tone is advantageous in some way not that Mitt Romney is a liar. That's obvious.

  • Romney 2012

  • @jbillycrack LOL! Good one.

  • @trueg261191 glad i know someone didn't think i was serious

  • It's like $10 and a certain amount of cents in Canada.

  • @AZIANNINJA24

$10.25 in Ontario, this is the minimum wage because the government here deems it the lowest income someone can live off on their own... a concept alien to some nations.

  • i just love it when Cenk impersonates the candidates. it is so funny!!!!

  • if it wasnt for the unions we would all be making 5 bucks an hours for the rich companies

  • @undeadnow This is false. I don't even know where to begin addressing the economic ignorance evident in your comment.

  • @LeEternelleVie

Really? As someone who studies Political Economy & Economic history I would to know what your evidence is concerning unions & wages.

  • does anyone else notice the bad subtitles?

  • did you people see the video where Romney ignores a dying medical merijuana patient?

  • Institute a Job Guarantee.

I would suggest a basic wage of $15/hr

We could then abolish the minimum wage and stop the insanity of paying people to sit on their asses.

Businesses would much rather hire someone who is already working rather than someone who has been out of work for any significant (or insignificant) amount of time.

  • Comment removed

  • @WilhelmDrake Uhhhh sooo you want everyone working for a wage higher than the current minimum wage but you want the minimum wage abolished?

You don't see ANYTHING schizophrenic about that?

  • @dffykvn

With a Job Guarantee (Employed Buffer Stock Scheme) there is no need for a minimum wage.

Employers can offer any wage they wish and employees are free to accept it or not.

Is see nothing "schizophrenic" about this.

  • @WilhelmDrake I'll repeat myself

You want a basic wage of 15 dollars which is a hell of a lot higher than a minimum wage

You can't say that there's a basic wage of 15 dollars but employers should be able to offer as little as possible as long as a desperate worker accepts it.

Those can't exist at the same time

  • @dffykvn

    I don't understand.

All I'm saying is that with a Job Guarantee (Employed Buffer Stock) there are no need for minimum wage laws, they would effectively be redundant.

The buffer stock expands or contracts based on cyclical conditions in the private sector thus providing a source of workers who have already proven themselves reliable, & ready to work.

  • @acasouk Brazil is led by socialists of coarse it is going to get better. We are led by capitalists, which as we see just leads to hierarchy then collapse. The only thing holding our country together is the propaganda and fear. We think America is the Greatest thing ever. And will die for it no matter if the Middle East is the spawn of Satan or not.

  • @AnswerManofRome Yeah, don't pay any attention to what's going on in Europe.

  • @ShatterNWO The Euro is a fail. Norway stayed out of it and look at them the most prosperous and great country on earth. I am no specialist but I understand that the trend is that the Euro shits on the Economies there. From what I have heard Germany is somehow the one holding the whole thing up. I don't have a case against the socialists in Europe so I am not inclined to pay attention to them. Brazil also has a larger poor population so they need these benefits simply for civility.

  • @AnswerManofRome

Last time I checked Brazil was still a capitalist economy.

But there have indeed been differences in social & economic policy since Lula.

  • @WilhelmDrake I am not a specialist but I do believe they elected a female president or someone important who represents the socialist party. Also socialism is simply a civil means toward communism. So it would not be an economic system rather as you said a social/economic policy of transition.

  • Government raising the minimum wage only will create more inflation. It will not address the issue that minimum wage is not a living wage. Anyone who has worked at a minimum wage job through a government or union instituted wage increase can tell you that the first thing the corporation does, before raising wages, is to increase prices to compensate. So by the time you get your raise, you need to it continue at your current standard of living, it's not a real increase for people.

  • This shows you how bad the minimum wage is currently, that a REPUBLICAN suggests raising it. But I don't consider Romney a true CONSERVATIVE/REPUBLICAN, and I actually applaud him for it. He could be the new kind of politician this country needs. Candidates cling too much to a party or an ideology, practically making them unable to compromise and negotiate. We have seen that now for over 3 years in Congress. REAL PEOPLE are not complete liberal and conservative, so why should politicians be so?

  • @CSILogic just because Romney's an idiot doesn't fix anything. Raising minimum wage raises the price of everything else. Minimum Wage isn't bad, and raising it HURTS the little guy, not help. Minimum Wage is a corporate scam, there should be a minimum wage, but we shouldn't be raising it every other year. Beef is nearly $5 a pound. Milk at WALMART is $3.50 a gallon. Raise minimum wage, and you'll see those prices go even higher, along with every other grocery.

  • @rufuguru

    what should we do then?

  • @H3770mynameis Well, for starters, we need to cut subsidy programs that don't work. And overhaul government spending. We need to even out the taxes so that there isn't as much classism going on. We need to adjust Welfare so that people can't keep sucking the system dry. We need to provide a better safety net.

  • @rufuguru - Not that many people make minimum wage anyway. But using that same argument, if it is not that impactful, why should we expect it to make a big impact in other ways? Average wages have DECREASED over the last several years, yet cost of living has still gone up, and unemployment is still high. So other factors were the cause, not wages. Putting more money in circulation to spend may help the economy. Many companies can do it. Just use the money the are no long spending on benefits!

  • @CSILogic I suppose, but it would be more effective to give a tax related incentive. Raising the minimum wage has made small businesses go bankrupt before. It might not be too bad if the minimum wage was slowly incremented, but raising it immediately to 10 bucks or more could have dire consequences.

  • @rufuguru - Oh God no! An immediate rise from $7.25 to $10 if downright dangerous! Even though Romney suggested the raise, I don't think even he meant right away. But it should be raised more often than it is, I don't think raising it more than a dollar a year is practical for business to survive and flourish, and probably just a quarter to 50 cents a year max realistically. And there should be more tax incentives for raising wages and hiring in America as opposed to overseas.

  • @CSILogic agreed

  • @CSILogic most of the staff of almost every retailer makes (or at least starts at) minimum wage....and at many restaurants, servers make less than minimum and need tips to compensate

  • The difference between Obama and Romney is that Obama got in office and found that the partisanship was worse than it ever has been, and the economy was still so delicate that he cannot accomplish very much. Romney tends flip-flop never stays the course, and has Moderate tendencies. This may actually be a GOOD thing. He may find, just as Obama has, the he cannot carry out all his promises as planned when he gets in office. This would allow him to adapt and compromise... as a politician should.

  • Mitt Romney is a huge hypocrite.

  • "Who would vote for this guy?" = Well, extravagantly wealthy, classist/racist, not friendly to dog- people will.

  • The thing is ,people making minimum wage generally qualify for lots of other government "freebies"- food stamps, fuel assistance , WIC,free cell phones, etc. Raise the damn minimum wage and make it a " living wage " !

  • There should be no minimum wage. The only think raising minimum wage would do is make prices go up, so its utterly pointless

  • @BorgKing001

    Oh look another idiot

"Yet you idiots never can explain how it hurts jobs creation when no one will work for a a wage so low it COSTS them money."

  • @mecher3k oh so raising the minimum wage doesn't cause prices to go up?

  • @BorgKing001

So dropping one will lower prices? LOL, yea that makes sense. When minimum wage isn't even close to being a liveable wage in the first place.

All hail Stupidity, the god of BorgKing and every other free market retard everywhere.

  • @mecher3k Well it would stop prices from going up, and who says the minimum wage is suppose to be liveable? Some rude pizza face sack boy is suppose to make a liveable wage?

  • @BorgKing001

So miniumim wage should not even be able to pay the bills for your house, car, FOOD, etc?

Good to have 100% proof how uncaring you RonTards are about actual people.

  • @mecher3k Yes. We care, we just know that free market capitalism helps more people out of poverty than giving someone else's money away. Just a fact. Its not your intentions that are wrong, just your suggestions to achieve those intentions are wrong. You have no facts to back up your claims so you go with an emotional defense, uncaring, racist etc.

  • fish oil lol I think you mean snake oil

  • Huntsman is out, people.

Now if Paul doesn't do a miracle comeback it's going to be Mitt Romney running for president.

    Fuck us all...

  • min wage should be 13, max wage should be 100

  • @dffykvn what!!! Close my mouth!!! If poor ppl stop getting government help this country would be better. But no they sell there food stamps, have cook out every weekend an go to the doctor just to get more meds to feel good. O we pay for there rent, bills, an free public transportation. So if u dont think that living rich. They need to force them to find work drug test them every week. O an have the rich pay more taxes too. So if ur part of the poor class. Go get educated, get a job an help out

  • @Westexaskiller915 You're mentally retarded if you think the poor live like rich people.

  • Silly Cenk non-sense as usual... TYT once again proving it's a news source for dummies. It's obvious that Cenk thinks that the minimum wage should be raised, proving once again that he economically illiterate.

  • am i the only one who has problems with the repeat thing on youtube!?

  • So according to theyoungturks people can't change? So I guess Cenk is still a Republican?

  • Mitt Romney looks like John Gotti. I'm just sayin.

  • If Ron Paul is so legitimate, he'd detach from the disaster that is the Republican-scumbag-party. Even if he was an independent, I'd vote for him in a second. As long as he's on the Republican side, 'they' will sway his Presidency. So, no thanks.

  • @liquifex Ron Paul is in the republican party because he is a libertarian, which is basically for the smallest of the small government, which is pretty much why I won't vote for him. Removing all regulations on business in the hopes that it will self regulate is an incredibly naive idea to hold in this day and age (especially because lack of regulation is what's fucked us over).

  • Comment removed

  • @objectionablechione 1) Libertarians believe in maximizing individual freedom and liberty. From there all things flow. 2) The gov has no problem writing regulations. The problem is that regulations apply to us and *don't apply* to gov and big corps, because the lobbyists help write regulations for us as suits them. As Romney said, "Corporations are people, my friend." Citizens United. Zombie corps, zombie people. The US is getting its brains eaten.

  • How... the.... fuck..... can people vote for this dude? he's the biggest liar ever.

  • @hehefromhere The same people that voted for Obama share the same stupid gene.

  • @shadowedge69 Yup im danish, and I hope so much you guys vote and support for Ron Paul :D

  • Just another flip flop.

  • There r four classes now. High class r the rich, poor class r the ones who get government help but lives like rich ppl. Middle class r the ones who r close to be rich. Finally the new class the broken class r the ones who lives pay checks to pay check but r not close to be rich an cant get government help at all. Im part of the broken class which one r u.

  • @Westexaskiller915 The poor live like rich people?

    Close your fucking mouth.

  • @Resincatedlungs okay stupid

  • @resincoatedlungs Yes, unfortunately. Another probably better way to tackle this is to have a stronger dollar, which would make the price of everything go down not-so-unfortunately.

  • I think Mitt Romney finally realized that plenty of middle class and poor people from the South and Midwest vote for Republicans due to social issues, even if their financial well being would be better off with Democrats. If Republicans don't acknowledge the middle class and poor once in awhile, they're going to lose some of these people. The Rich alone won't win you an election.

  • @ypsidan04 I'm not sure he even knows the poor and middle class exist because they don't mow his lawns.

  • And they said Kerry was a flip flopper, but let me tell you friends that Mitt Romney is the King of the Flip-Flop. Raise minimum wage, riiiight, Romney, right. But you have the NINJA VETO to kill it! Smiles at you one moment, backstabs you the next. Stewart was right when he said this is the guy who fired your dad and loved doing it. The perfect Manchurian Candidate. Vote this up if you agree!

  • That's funny. I recall a similar video a few weeks ago about how Obama lied about raising minimum wage. Who would be stupid enough to look at Obama and think, "That guy's going to be for me!"?

  • @tiberianfiend well, at this point it's looking at the lesser of two evils. As a progressive I dislike Obama immensely, but at least he isn't one of the republican candidates. Nothing can be worse than 4 more Bush years.

  • here's an idea, how about a maximum wage?

  • @unfoundbassist That's the path to communism, friend.

  • @Dionkeyundead yeah you have a point, and the path of minimum wage leads to poverty, welfare, and wage slavery... I say it's time to start cutting some side trails somewhere that are less bumpy for all :)

  • @Dionkeyundead

    Good old communism
