To all Ronnie Milsap fans: If you like to hear Ronnie's songs no matter who is doing the singing, I suggest you go to the website singsnap.com and click on "Watch and Listen", then click "Members", and then enter BIGJIMD in the Member ID box. Give a listen to Big Jim singing songs like "I Hate You", Just In Case", and "That Girl Who Waits on Tables" . Big Jim should be under contract by one of the large recording companies. Prepare to be amazed.
NOTICE: Ronnie Milsap is coming out w/ "Country Again" July 26! "If You Don't Want Me to" will be released the 18th! Please spread this everywhere! BTW, BloozeDaddy76, you have a message from me on/in your channel.
Seen him in Wichita Falls, Tx. in the early 80's and even after all the concerts I've been to, his is still my favorite. Also believe he should have already been put in the Hall of Fame. Real country music tells a story, this stuff they call country now is about as far from country as it gets.
Actually this is sometime in 1974. The whole program aired on TV a few months back and he sang "Pure Love" at the end. Pure Love was not recorded until January 1974.
hey dontdodrugzz....if ronnie could see i would kill to c him put his foot in ur ass punk...lol...and even if he could id do it for free ...taa daaaa...ha ha...say sompin els n....r
Listen...can you hear a little Hank Sr.? Ronnie rox....in our country tradition. How would any of us know how to handle love and break-ups if it wasn't for country music? Love it..love it! and thanks for the post.
Hell yes! I'm in heaven listening to this stuff. Ronnie is one of the best musical artist ever. What a fantastic, extremely talented person. Thank God for Ronnie Milsap!
Where else besides youtube can you find rare old performances like this!
This is Ronnie at the very start of his country career in 1973. It is hard to imagine after hearing this that Ronnie had spent the previous ten years as a pure R&B/Soul singer laying gigs with James Brown and Stevie Wonder!
There is no style of music this guy can't sing. Incredibly versatile and sooo underrated...
@BloozeDaddy76 If you want to see more of stuff like this on TV go to channel 345 on Direct TV. It's a channel called RFD. They got Hee Haw, Porter Wagoner Show and lots of other good ole country and bluegrass.
@BloozeDaddy76 As much as I'd rather not do it,I'm going to splurge and pay the $60.00 for a @ album in 1 CD set of Pure Love & Legend In My Time. It's awful when you got to pay import prices when Ronnie Milsap is an American to begin with.
Happy 69th Birthday Ronnie Milsap!
