  • Sweet. I've always wanted to try one of those little babies, not to mention keeping one in my wallet. Great song with a great sound, too, Michelle.

  • The ukulele looks hard to play because of its size, but you seem to have no trouble with it! Great job!

  • So cool! Love the pocket uke.

  • ポケットウクレレ、好いですね。音も好いですね。歌にも合ってますね。

  • You never had to say the pocket is "fun to play"..........it was evident as you never stopped smiling during the video :) Great job!

  • well done and fun Michelle!

  • Great singing & playing!

  • Oh, COOL! LOVE THE BANGLES! GREAT JOB!!!

  • @haygarthtony Thank you very much Tony! I'm glad you liked it.

  • Aaaaawwwww, that's a cute little thing Michelle! I must admit I quite like that clear sound you are getting out of it. Good song choice - perky vocal and a big smile :-) Simon.

  • @goreedy Thank you very much Simon! I was pretty surprised at how clear the sound was actually for the size of it. It's a fun one to play! Thanks for watching.

  • Well done, excellent strum !

    Beautiful Michelle !!

  • @Litlelilia Thank you very much Lilia!

  • I've always loved the Bangles. Thanks for takin' me down memory lane. Excellent performance, Michelle! Always enjoy the listens. That pocket uke is so cool! :) Janet

  • @onewomanandsomesongs Thank you very much Janet! I love The Bangles too... they were my favourite band for a while in the 80s, then I finally got to see them play last year when they made it out to Australia for the first time.

  • I haven't been on Youtube in forever... and to be greeted with a Bangles cover?! This rocked.

  • @adellethegreat Hey Adelle! So good to see you back here. Thanks for the lovely comment. I'll have to do more Bangles now :)

  • nicely done! But, as small as that uke is, you'll need pretty big pockets to contain it.

  • @reyalpEleluku Thank you Michael, and very true! I don't think I have pockets that big, but I did take it in my handbag along to band practice tonight though, and it fitted very nicely.

  • Ok, is that just the cutest thing? Sounds great! :)

  • @lisaxy424 Thank you Lisa! I've had it a while now, and I still can't help thinking how cute it is every time I look at it.

  • Cool haven't seen that one in person yet , something to look forward to. Have to give one a strum. ;-)

  • Sounds Great, mahogany I guess ??? Heard u had to tune em up a bit. Seen em, very well built, kala uke's all of em I like. ;-) good travel uke easy to transport =•}

  • @JChoneybell Thank you JC! It's actually Acacia - I don't think there would be a lot of difference in sound for a uke so small, but I liked the look of the Acacia wood better. Yes, very easy to transport. It fits anywhere, and seems so solid that I doubt it would break easily.

  • @DearOldNutjob2 Thank you very much Don! Yes, I was very impressed about how well made it is - very solid. It's really fun to experiment with. It gives every song I try with it such a different sound. How are your trip preparations going?

  • excellent Michelle. those pocket ukes are a lot of fun to play. nice sunny location for a vid!

  • @russbuss415 Thank you Russ! I actually had wanted to record it outside - it was such a nice day! But someone was mowing their lawn right at the time I was going to record, so I figured a window view would do.

  • I tried to play one of those once. My hand cries when I think about that day. Serious cramps! Really nice singing Michelle!

  • @deach69 Thank you so much Deach! Yes, I can imagine your hand would cramp up with it... I pretty much just play basic chords on it - the fingerboard is pretty small even for small hands. Holding it is a challenge too, but I've finally worked out a position where it won't slip.

  • Very nicely done Michelle. You look like you're enjoying your uke. Excellent job :)

  • @Sheepstar15 Thank you Anna! I actually was really enjoying it during that take, as I'd just worked out how to hold it so it didn't slip! I'd had a few frustrating takes before that where it would start slipping halfway through the song.

  • excellent stuff. the uke sounds great as do you , i dont know the song tho

  • @krabbers Thank you very much Krabbers! It's probably not one of The Bangles most well known songs, but it was quite popular here in Australia in the late 80s - round the time of "Walk Like an Egyptian".

  • Very cute ukulele! It has a clear sound.

I wish you have a wonderful day! Thank you for sharing.

  • @koukikstone Thank you very much Koukikstone-san! I hope you have a wonderful day too!

  • Awesome, M! I miss my PU. Have to get one again.

  • @UKISOCIETY Thank you Alan! You got rid of one? I'd miss it too! It's fun, and certainly nothing like any other uke I have. I hope you get another one.

  • It has a surprising sound Michelle. Nice singing and playing too!

  • @waterdog226 Thank you Lynda! Yes, I was quite surprised by the sound too. Very clear, and stays in tune well, and considering how high it is tuned, not too "plinky".

  • Bravo Michelle! The FUN came through!

  • @josephhoh Thank you very much Joseph!

  • Really confident playing and singing, Michelle.

  • @KenMiddletonUkulele Thank you very much Ken!

  • Do you put it in your pocket or purse? I liked it!

  • @UkesterBrown Both! Thanks David. It really is so small it can fit almost anywhere. Very solid too - doesn't feel like it would break easily.

  • Great cover Michelle. I've been wanting to get a pocket uke because they seem to much fun to play. I like the high sound yours has. The F-tuning gives a very nice touch to the sound. Have a wonderful day!

  • @thesebinextdoor Thank you Sebi! You should get one! I'd love to hear what you could do with it. I'm sure you'd make it sound amazing, and it would inspire me to play mine more. It's a lot of fun, and would sound great with your bass and other ukes. You have a wonderful day too!

  • lovely !! such a sweet looking uke there :)

    looks fun to play with!

    Great video Michelle

  • @nemoAUS Hey Nam! Thanks for that - yes, it is a fun one to play. I'm pretty amazed at how good it can sound considering the size of it too.

  • Love it Michelle - especially that little dance you do. And that min uke sounds crispy and nice too.

  • @BaronK69 Thank you Baron! It's a really fun one to play - and that uke is a little difficult to play sitting down, so it gets me playing standing up more.

  • Super, Michelle! I love your performance and that teeny weeny ukulele.

  • @floydbluethereal Thank you Ralf! I like it more and more each time I play it too.

  • Oh MIchelle this is awesome! I'm sure the Bangles would love it. Can you do some more :)

  • @SaddleSoreSista1 Thank you SSS! It's a really fun uke to play, so I'm sure I'll do some more soon with it.
