  • I fell the same amazement when because we have been able to understand a lot of about the laws of nature no matter how complicated it is.

If we humans don't make the mistake of destroying life in earth ,and we work hand by hand to preserve our planet, then our science can take us to the infinity universe.

  • who needs magic when we have physics to amaze us!

  • one of the most interesting part of physics.

  • Sorry, but this is so much better than my community college class.

  • Someone that knows a lot about UCLA and Berk tell me which one would be better to go to for med school, just wanna know an opinion from somebody?

  • Thank you Prof. Muller for let me learn from you though the web. You are a really good teacher, easy to follow. This is the only chance I have to attend Berkeley.

  • This guy SURE gives out a lot of homework.. -.-

  • My rod is hard now?

  • I love the topics he covers.

  • Really great professor! Thanks to you, Prof. Muller, I now understand waves alot better:) I will continue to watch, and learn.

  • I love his lecture style, its interactive and interesting, just the right amount of work done on the blackboard. So many lecturers at my university put everything into a powerpoint presentation and give everyone the slides so you never actually have to turn up. This way students are also in control of their own note taking.

  • i love this... i understand this better than my high school physics teacher... thank you for this!!! this just saved me before my test

  • All i've been doing is watching these guys video's over and over and over again.

  • 3 people dislike light, go figure ...

  • hmm... I bit more math wouldn't hurt

  • @Ioannx a*

  • this is gold, fellas..

  • For all CG students. "through the glass darkly" at 00:38:03 Paul's First Epistle to the Corinthians 13:10!

  • ThePenguinzrule's Edit: should be: For all CG students. "through the glass darkly" at 38:03 Paul's First Epistle to the Corinthians 13 :10!

  • brilliant professor!!!!

  • Who the hell would dislike this? This is sensational! Nothing less than a revolution in education!

  • aaaaaaaaaa

  • A++! This Prof. is a great teacher.

  • Richard had a brilliant supervisor when doing his PhD, Louis Alvarez (Nobelist). A meeting with his son Walter gave Rich the idea of his theory of the Nemisis star. This was his theory and he wrote a book about it. It is a good read but his theory has just remained a hypothesis. It is worth a read and is called 'Nemisis'. I read it when it came out here in the UK. Oh, I am a physics lecturer also.

  • This guy is awesome!!! I didnt see any other video that makes this stuff sound simple and understanding. Wish there was more teachers like him.

    Keep up the good work!

  • The subject is harsh bur this smart prof make it easy and understandable

  • richard a muller rules in front of other teachers!!! go muller!!

  • thank you. priceless!

  • Thanks. This will help me for my exam tomorrow ! :)

  • Dick-A-Muller is my main Jiggahertz.

  • @visualkei72 lol

  • what happens if u revers the sound channel effect? putting slow on both top and bottom and making the middle an area where it can travel fast?

  • This is probably the coolest lecturer ever, the right balance of knowledge, humor and personality. I love it :-)))

  • since when shaking is a velocity? lol

  • @ahamayoisac since forever

  • @ksly1111 velocity is a single vector and single value of speed. Shaking is a constant change of vector and speed as an object becomes stationary at a boundary of 0 when speed is 0.

    :P

  • thanks for posting these videos!

  • God, I'm a nerd.

  • is this an actual class cause he doesnt demonstrate actual question and equations

  • This is a fabulous video leaning series. He is a great teacher. You do not really need a formal degree to have knowledge. I am a successful electronic engineer and communication software developer. I have no degree. I just paid attention to good books written by good authors. These videos are like a good book with audio and video. After that it is a matter of practice.

  • that is the wildest thing ive ever heard

  • stop sayin that free education shit, or the man is gonna swoop down and take it from us. if you thumbs this down then youre the man and fuck you. just read that people already said that; besides the degree is whats really more directly valuable to most people (do you have any idea how much money "they" make off expensive school?)

    Great teaching/information 5/5 thanks.

Berkley, MIT opencoursewear...advancing the human race. i like it.

  • You illiterate bastard.

  • either way we learn it...here or actually in class , we still need to pay for the credit of taking the class.

  • I would love to enroll at this college. Too bad California is so far away :(

  • no need to go to school, just watch youtube.

  • a B.S. degree at University of Tube isn't as good as UC-Berk

  • true, but you need a degree to get a good job. Too bad youtube can't give us that.

  • You dont need to go to university to learn you only go to get a bit of paper that says you learnt

  • @s0m3w0n2 thats what i was saying...

  • @roniepao the future way of education.

  • @roniepao you're so right :)

  • @roniepao

not only that, we can just get area of interest -) and pretty fast. Thanks to Prof. Muller.

  • @roniepao try getting a job with a degree in watching videos on youtube

  • if i were only a better student during high school :(. I would have gone to a kick ass college.

  • no,

scientist are not reiligous figures who relate to any prophecy, quite the opposite thats why their called scientist, labeled under science not religion

  • There are still scientists who are religious.

  • @BdizzleFaReal And there were scientists that were Nazis too

  • And the purpose of that reply is?

  • To show that just because there were Nazi scientist doesn't relate science to the Nazi movement

  • lol, you are fucking retarded. You are speaking for him and by that I mean you are trying to tell me that you know what someone else is attempting to say based off their vague sentence. The sentence he wrote didn't even pertain to the topic of the thread. Wow I'm responding to a dumbass

  • how do u make the light on the top right

  • ahh I beg to differ... There is something holy about scientist and their work, because its just as holy as this whole goddamn world we live in. If people can't see how majestic and beautiful the world is, the way science is, than I feel sorry for you. if you have to believe in a imaginary man in the clouds to find magic and faith, then I'm afraid you are missing the most amazing things in the life. I'm talking about all that exist in this entire universe.

  • I feel scientist study God will, work I like how you commented. There are many bad Churchs and Scientist today eta...

I ask if some one going to type hate comments about this just do it on my vidoes to show that try to unstand how

I see things. Why If you don't care to know that thin you should not comment.

  • @PutinWurst Ya but who made all the beauty did it make itself. you give the magic answer seeing that you say there is no magic man

  • research what tesla said about theory of relativity,

  • This man blows my mind

  • Time and Space=mc2. Einstein can not be disputed. He is the Moses of all Science who was given the sum of everything.

  • You are a colossal idiot. Scientists are not prophets, and there's nothing "holy" about their work. Go back to church, dumbass.

  • Comment removed

  • @ Dracova not at the Professor,You are a genetically inferior Neanderthal, that can't understand Einstein's theories. Your inferior kind don't have a chance in the near future and will be exterminated like nature intended. You are not Aryan and could never in a million years understand these highly advanced sciences.

  • Oh, how silly of me. You must be a troll! After all, how else to explain such levels of fucktardation you exhibit?

  • Yeah, For you I want to suggest Steven Hawkins for your leader in the pursuit to understand how to control Time And Space. He is here on earth to lead your kind to a maze of confusion that your kind will never figure out.

  • well stated

  • nobody says scientists are prophets, if they do, they are wrong, but theres actually nothing "holy" about anything. Science > Church in everything except the explanation of before the big bang.

  • What if prophets were geniuses just like Einstein? Einstein gave us a revelation that took tens of thousands of years to come into an explanation. Most of you can't understand the theory of relativity completely. Time Space and Matter are all one, I can understand why, Time is the constant, that is all you need to focus on, to understand atomic theory and relativity.

  • Yes time is constant but its also relative.

Ive already made my own theory but i probably wont publish it. it just has to do with entropy.

  • erm thats no thanks to religion that science exceeds---religion killed galileo who studied astronomy who tried to correct wrongs of religion-who cares for holy go back to palestine-isreal-iraq-or vatican and maybe you'll find it---science exceeds because scientists have freedoms in democracies to self correct-we exceeded in science during democracies or enlightenment periods not because religion played any part-

  • what about like, there will be a time that we will understand the universe so much. That we will know it's creator, and we will use technology and science to kill him. :O

  • by the time 'we' know that, we are history for a long time already

  • hahaha this is the vid i turned to right after commenting on your vid

anyways physicist arent talking about an actuall wave they can only be talking about mathmatical waves because they cant travel without a medium,so basically they can only be saying that whats anticipated to happen if it was a mechancial wave in an ordinary medium, instead of a vacuum of undidectable nothingness

this messiah is relating things to mere mortal terms, holah lujha amen,LOL

  • Thanks for this upload, much better than using wiki and looking stuff up ;p

  • haha, he said jigawatts. he's an old man.

    1.21 JIGAWATTS!!!

  • Yeah was wondering when i'd see a comment about how he says it. It is funny

  • you pretty smart but maybe not then agin we'll see if can answer can you? because the thing what i'm confused over is lightening. like is lightening fire? what is lightening? is there, is it cause it's close to space that it's alljaggly? and there's no air in space? can it burn stuff? like could lignhtnig burn fire? does anyone know if theres such a thing as lightenig at the total bottom of the ocean? they(the fish) prolly don't call it lighgtenng cuz fish don't talk lol.oh god what is it!!???

  • @idleflaborgy: Your stupidity makes my brain hurt. Please, just stop.

  • i agree

  • didn't the professor explain lightning in his electricity and magnetism lecture?

  • for.... future presidents ??

  • What does it mean future presidents?

  • it just means it's the physics class for people who aren't going to be doing physics for their career. it gives all the cool facts and information of physics but doesn't make you learn the math or do labs.

  • i love this guy,

ican relate to him very easily

  • Thanks very much to those involved for making these lessons available for everyone. Appreciated!

  • great videos, love the physics lectures

  • Useful.

  • Very relaxing to watch... Really... xD

  • That's because you're high.

  • I thank Berkeley And Prof Muller for these lectures. I watch more "Berkeley TV" then I do anything :P

    a free education :]

  • same - I am working my way through the series, about 2 eps a day.

TYVM Pro Muller! I feel like I know you now

  • @sn1pe352 Same here. If my high school physics teacher would have been anything close to Prof Muller, I would be a physician by now.

  • @sergheiadrian physicist*

  • @sn1pe352 Well without grades and a certificate you in the eyes of society you dont got an education and you wont get jobs anyway. You need that little paper that says "youre importante to us!".........

  • These lectures are wonderful! I'm so glad they are here for us to see. Professor Muller...you're a great teacher and I do appreciate your ability to make your lectures entertaining and informative for the non-scientist. How great to just sit back and learn the basic concepts without all the intimidation of math calculations.

  • Loving these lectures :)

Nothing new really, but I like how he relates physics to technology. It lets me see what I learned previously applied to the new centuries.

  • Muller should have a fan club

  • i like the way Prof Muller teaches physics so interestingly. Only thing i want to tell him is that the size of human red blood cell is about 8 micron, not 0.5 micron. He repeated this mistake in these great lectures. Please someone let him know this fact.

  • he said "typically" 5 micron, not 0.5. even thought its still smaller. its only 1 or 2 off, and his point is still relevant.

  • I am not offended in any way but consider this: If you don't have something good to tell us, announce nothing

  • very cool

  • This reconfirms my theory of vision going bad that I always had. Maybe someday they will be able to treat our eyes to give us better ability to bend our eye lenses and not need glasses.

  • What about laser treatment dude?

Vision going bad your theory? nice find......

  • thanks, great lesson!

  • thanks a lot )
