  • cool you can see the moon actually moving

  • Thanks, yes its awesome how its movement is seen when you zoom in on it

  • @pwalpar Actually, Once at night i saw the full moon outside my window, and i looked at it as hard and still as i can, and then i saw it moving very slowly.

  • this video is as good as a squirell

  • thanks lol

  • I have this camera too! I bought it before my trip to France in June of 08, and while we were in Paris at the Arc de Triomphe I was able to zoom in on the moon, and the quality was amazing! (I had it on the highest setting ("ultrafine", I believe)).

  • Thanks for watching. I have made a lot of videos with it and it has worked great.

  • i have this camera too. Thanks for video

  • Thank you for watching my video

  • Thanks man for showing this video!! I just purchased this camera online for a looong overdue family reunion. Wanted to get ideals of how this camera works. Shows beautiful the moon which is good to know! LOL Take care!

  • Thanks for watching, Hope you have a nice reunion

  • I thought that a sun view would damage the CCD. May want to look into that.

@pwalpar: Did you use a tripod or was that image stabilization? Also, how high did you have the digital zoom set? I understand that JVC uses a Dynamic zoom program with minimal loss of resolution. Very impressive over older camcorders.

I have an old Panasonic PV-gs35 that's not compatible with Windows 7 anymore. So I won't buy a Panasonic. (I wonder how much they payed Bill Gates for that?)

  • Most of the time I had the zoom set to maxumum setting. and I almost always use a tripod. I just started using windows 7 and so far am not very impressed, LOL Thanks for watching and commenting

  • wow at about 1:00 it's like you can see how it slowly moves... must be illusion though...

  • Its not an illusion, remember the camera is zoomed in to a very small area of the sky, and you have to constantly move the camera to keep it in the viewer, Its moves pretty quick

  • AROOOOOOOOOOO

  • Its the sun and it would only damage your eyes, not the camera.

  • Thanks Mike

  • Cant that damage the lens??

  • I dont think so but Im sure I occasionaly damage it tossing the camera around LOL

  • Has to do with low lighting, automatic gain control or AGC

  • im thinking about getting one to film my skateboarding, any suggestions?

  • Normally I would suggest but the best you can possably afford, this typle of media is the way of the future, you wont be satisfied with anything cheap. But skate boarding sounds like a broke camera in a hurry LOL

  • ok, thanks, but i think im going to go with a sony hdr-cx100

  • Got one for Christmas and am looking forward to using it great pictures of the moon Cheers

  • Cool--Good luck with the camera

  • hi does this camera have night vision?

  • Thanjks for watching, It does not have night vision.

  • @pwalpar hey, this camera is obviously very good. how much did u buy it for????i was thinking about buying one at best buy for 199.

  • I paid much more than 199 in fact it was over 300 I cant remember the exact amount

  • That's pretty amazing for an inexpensive camcorder.

  • Thanks, It did do pretty well.

  • is this a good begginner camera? Whats the fps on this thing?

  • I certainly like the camera. Please watch my latest video that I uploaded today. Its call JVC GZ Mg630 Specs. Maybe it will answer your question Thanks for watching

  • Thank You for watching

  • does it have the 40x zoom?

  • 35X optical

    40X dynamic

    80X digital

    800x Digital

    Those are the zoom settings

  • Did u know that their is Aliens on the moon?

  • Nope didnt know that. Maybe they will roll out the red carpet when we go back there. LOL

  • LMAO!

  • Thanks for watching

  • hello i just got this camera how did u get ur setting in such nice quality please respond.. Thanks-

  • I have the camera set to ultra fine on the video settings, and I edit and upload my videos with windows movie maker, and when I save the movie file I dont use the setting that says best quality for my computer, instead I scroll down to other settings and save my videos as High Quality Video (NTSC). Other than those two thing I dont do anything special. They dont always come out great thought. it has a lot to do with good lighting when you film something. Good luck with the camera

  • I can't tell thru YouTube, but, are the craters you see from your video pretty clear? As i said, they aren't too clear on my computer. Thanks

  • Considering that I was looking thru hi altitude clouds when I made this they were very clear. Dont exoect too much from any digital camera when it comes to photographing in low light conditions. They all are poor in the dark.

  • how do you get the best quality using this camera ?

  • I just got one of these cameras today not had a chance to play but that is impressive

  • Good luck with your camera, if you dont have a tri pod and intend to do much video work consider getting one. Im no expert at it but if you get in a jam I will try to advise you on it.

  • COOOOOOLLLL :)

  • Thanks for the compliment
