yes please show me this picture okay what is the movie and story just looking and trying to known people hobby nature & choice ,ikay get chance i can see movie right time on enjoyment the weekend with my boy friend sinceree and beloved live most good chareterr the romance on the ocan my word i have no friend i have alone person so that i like aloneness. many people want to be with friendship with me but i'm not ready their proposal so love is the attraction or only enjoyment i didn't find out.o
I hope not to sound too judgmental or close-minded, but after looking this up when I finished it and reading about it and trying to understand what different parts or the movie or the people (things....) in them, I now understand some of what things mean. As in the emotional 'splitting' of Bobby. The father still utterly confuses me even though I realize that he was probably trying to steer his son toward girls in his life. All over, this movie was utterly creepy and confusing and creepy. Help?
@BlackStarsWhiteSky if you could not tell it was a movie made to be set in late 70`s to mid 80`s it was he was trying to get his friend to "notice him"
@globalman I wholeheartedly apologize for the "talk to your mother" comment, then. But I won't retract my other statements. "BTW if parents have problems that are unresolved perhaps they should not have children." That's very true. But remember, you said “America never wants to look at this /fact/.” Last time I checked, there was a difference between fact and opinion. So I jumped on that.
@Modishkitty 'And why the "America never wants to look at this fact"?' I'm guessing it is because it is hardly ever possible to make a comment about this issue without someone jumping on the commenter and attacking them, often with personal attacks. Like you I think @mania66107 should be very careful about generalizing. But lets face it, fathers taking their issues out on their kids is a subject that gets wide spread attention in films and media. Do mothers receive the same attention? I wonder!
@Sirius19741066 Oh, I actually see the reverse in media. Ever seen a show called "Deadly Women?" Some of the 'deadly' women on there are mothers, and you would shake your head disapprovingly if you heard their stories, haha. My problem with some women is that they're so dependent and project their emotions in the wrong way. But then again, this happens to anyone. That's just how it is, I suppose. Some people, man. :(
@mania66107 I would even reply like I did if he made the same comment to men. My problem with it is that you don't just generalize like that. "Women take out their own failures, disappointments and unresolved father issues on their sons.... all the time"
'all the time'? How many mothers does he know who fit this description? And why the "America never wants to look at this fact"? Which is why I assume he has his own issues with some woman that he's trying to project.

Ah, another victimising, abuse and emotionally incestuous mother. Women take out their own failures, disappointments and unresolved father issues on their sons.... all the time. America never wants to look at this fact.
@globalman what a completely opinionated and possibly misogynistic thing to say. I don't know what mommy issues you have or perhaps just a general disregard to the female gender, but do not voice such bullshit as if it is 'fact'. The real fact is that SOME parents in this world suffer from problems that project to their children, men AND women alike. Now go call your mother and tell her exactly what problems you have with her and stop being a dick.
@Modishkitty why is he wrong? maybe he spoke too generally, but his response does hold some merit. and fyi, my mother is terrific. i've just seen other mothers push their father issues into their children as well
@mania66107 That's exactly why he's wrong. Because he spoke too generally. If his comment went along the lines of "There are some women who..." then by all means, I'd agree with him. But it was like he were referring to all or most women, and that what set me off. Because I've seen (hell, I've even met a few) fathers mistreat their children for reasons they cannot admit are deep-rooted. And the tone of his comment sounded personal, which is why I also suggested he talk to his own mother.
@Modishkitty@Modishkitty In my world i have a freedom of speech. Also I did not get personal. It seems you are the one with severe issues in your need to attack me and not the subject of my writing. Just because someone does not see things through your eyes or perspective does not give you license to assasinate someone's character. I never claimed my opinion was fact. However it is my opinion and if I speak with authority after a long life which seems to threaten you, that is your problem.
@globalman You represent all that I think makes my (our?) country great in your comment and I very much appreciate that. Thank you for having a rational view on things.
@Modishkitty Ps, my mother died in 2007 all conflicts resolved. Also your need to use vulgarity while being very American is only the attempt of a lazy and feeble mind to express itself forcefully. If one wants to intelligently debate one should have a reasonable command of a language. BTW if parents have problems that are unresolved perhaps they should not have children. As a species we are not threatened with extinction.
@globalman Also, keep in mind that an "intelligent debate" goes with reason and does not include generalization. “Women take out their own failures, disappointments and unresolved father issues on their sons.... /all the time/.” would be a prime example of what not to use in an ‘intelligent ‘ debate, for example.
the point of this movie of including little kids to be gay is to show people that wow obviously they dont know what gay is and what they see in each other is love. and that one day you dont decide to be gay and in like 3 and half hours later you think your gonna be straight. now it tells us that people are born the way they are and you can change that.
@FritoLays1236 i agree, not to mention trying to force ur own son away from his best friend is just wrong, especially when hes in love with that friend. dad needs to go die,.....again haha
