  • MATRIXX. I have yet to tell you how fantastic this game is, so I shall. This game is fantastic and you are pretty amazing. :>

  • Aww, golly :D

  • lol! That's totally fetch. gg... it totally makes up for us getting out twnenty minutes late the other night >.>

  • Jarad's music most definitely enhances the ambiance of this game. What is this game written in, and will it run in linux?

  • Multimedia Fusion 2 - sadly Windows only :[ But I am interested in enlisting the help of an actual programmer to make a multiplatform version.

  • You know, the OPP engine is pretty complete. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to adapt it to this game.

  • Buckley! Are you proposing...

    An allegiance?!

  • No, I'm proposing a marriage. Now get your rear to California.

In all seriousness, if you've got graphics/sounds/levels and some sort of source code in a format I can read without needing MMF, then I'll see what I can do.

  • Unfortunately I have all but the last, but if required I can provide detailed documentation on the coding for every aspect of the game.

I was still quite interested in continuing this project - what I have I consider to be unfinished. I don't want to cause you any inconvenience, however.

It being a Windows-only program would keep you from running it, wouldn't it?

  • Not necessarily, but it would make it pretty difficult at the very least. However, the OPP engine compiles on OS X and Windows, and should compile on Linux, so if you can provide me with adequate documentation on the code, I can work it out and send you a program which you can tell me if there's anything wrong with it.

Are you sure you can't copy/paste the code out?

  • I'm sure, I tried. Also, the code relies on extorting a lot of arbitrary MMF functions that have no equivalent in proper programming languages (such as totally baseless "Speed" values). You'd basically have to start from the ground up based on documentation of what the code DOES rather than how it works (I.E. how high Hue can jump and how fast he can run, what patterns the blocks are generated in, the scoring, etc.)

  • Well, that doesn't sound impossible. As long as all the other resources are there, that is.

  • All right, I'll start documenting the game mechanics - once I have a little bit done I'll ship 'em off to you to see if they are satisfactory.

  • Wow. That video made the game look even more impressive.
