  • Hey this comment is specifically for AMERICAN DJ!!.

Hey ADJ, I had this idea that was really simple and very do-able.The idea was to update the galaxian sky so that it has a fog machine built into it to create a more "accurate" liquid sky effect. You could make half of the fixture just like the galaxian sky and build the other half just like the ADJ "Mini Fog." The laser takes up very little power, it wouldnt be a problem to add a 400 watt fogger. The nozel would be right by the laser lens.

  • - GOT THIS LASER FOR SALE 170$ pm for more info & pics [used]

  • @DeeJAYDramatico where did u get it for tht price?

  • @TheTruthHasRisen i was saling it for 170$ but now its gone

  • how much (in Japanese prease

  • can it be seen without haze or fog?

  • thats nice

  • how far can the beam be projected?

  • These are just like the lasers muse uses for undisclosed desires. :D

  • Does this look any good without fog?

  • but they work for a cheap price

  • On the ADJ forum, there is a thread that explains that the patterns you can select via DMX does NOT include the liquid sky effect. The liquid sky effect is only available via sound active mode. I use DMX, so I was hoping to see what the DMX patterns looked like. If that's too much trouble, maybe a brief description of a DMX pattern that comes close to a liquid sky pattern. The manual is very non-descriptive. Thanks!

  • The biggest problem I am having is finding places where you can still used fogger machines. Many club have had to update their fire safety systems to be at code, and will not allow these foggers anymore, because it triggers their alarm systems? I was complety surprised to find this out! I thought, OH this is a WATER BASED fogger, not a smoke machine, should be fine, not so. Anyone have any tricks, or more in depth knowledge if there is a way around this bummer?

  • @Mshine67 I have had the same problem. Although fog juice is glycerin and distilled water it still sets off alarms. It's crazy but it does happen. I don't believe you will find a way around it and the only way at this point I get any smoke at any show is from cigarettes.LOL

  • i own this laser. i have it since last year.... it is very durable! very cool i fell in love with it :)

  • i have the galaxian 3d is awesome i aim it at the ceiling. is legit and aproved. you guys that are thinking of getting one of those lasers from china or what ever be careful they might not be aproved at all and are too powerful to used don't get sue, is not worth it. the galaxian is really one bad ass laser machine, but for the ultimated effect use it with haze machine.

  • @peterwo2e hey bro i was completely sure i was going to buy that laser, but i had to go often to the store because the guys from GUITAR CENTER never got a hold of one :( but then the Scorpion Storm FX was like 30 or 40 bucks more im not sure... idk but some how that laser convinced me to buy him :) wow i have nothing to say but good stuff about it ::) u should try it some day!

  • @peterwo2e A little heds up on the laser....the only time you need any inspection on a laser setup or face any risk is when u have a class 4 (D) laser. Which has to be inspected before live event. And I don't know why anyone would waste their money on that chinese crap....it looks ok at first then breaks down. Buy a martin laser or american dj and remember you get what you pay for!

  • Ok, so I'm really looking into some lasers, and I do like this one... BUT! With a DMX controller... Can I slow it down? The only thing I dislike is how fast all the beams move, ya know? I want it slow and sexy, lol.

If ya can let me know that would be great.

  • thats right 247AMAN but you can get really cheap ones for $20 at a Halloween store or a place like Spencers gifts

  • @imanseven They are junk!

  • Galaxian Sky...definately..i just think i find a thousand slow moving laser beams uninteresting...lol

  • What's better American Dj Galaxian Sky or Chauvet Scorpion Sky Laser?

  • uhm thats way too powerful for home use, thats more powerful than the ones used in 3d laser shows there usually about 1W

  • @908205691838 stop bein a pussy

  • it will be a scientific laser,

    1. you will never get / afford it

    2. its not for show purposes

    3. your too much of an idiot to use one

  • they dont exist

  • a kilowatt is 1000 watts a miliwatt is 1000 watts... most lasers are under 50mW so.. its more then alot and i doubt you can find one...

  • they're also illegal and dangerous if used improperly.

  • you're gonna make someone go blind man

  • Can you buy any lazers with built in haze machine? Or vice versa?

  • Comment removed

  • no .

  • Even better than a fog machine that puts out large bursts of smoke, which most clubgoers hate, is to get a hazer. They will put out a steady flow of smoke that you can set, which fills the room with a constant "fog" making lights look amazing!

  • @djrobfly Thx for the tip :)

  • @djrobfly Do hazers set off Smoke alarms? I've been hearing conflicting things about this, and I may be doing stuff in say, school auditoriums... Would be disastrous to set off a smoke alarm. And i'm talking about doing really thick haze

  • So if i don't have a smoke machine i won't see the lasers in the air ?

  • That is correct.. and that applies to all light effects! Without fog you only see the light on your walls or on persons.. With fog you see the beams in the air..

Most light effects look nice without fog too, but lasers do NOT! They are just ugly green lines that you don't want to look at. So without fog, don't buy a laser..

  • yeah that's correct an that is the biggest problem whit laser's

  • Comment removed

  • do u need a smoke machine to see the lasers?

  • yeah

  • No, not exactly, if you gaet a high powered laser, then the beams will become visible. but yes. fog makes most amdj lights look better.

  • looks really good love the effect quality and originality, impressive and good value!

  • When was this model released? How does it compare to the emerald sky?

  • I'd like to know the advantages/disadvantages of each vs each other so I can make a buying decision; thanks!

  • Nice looking new laser :) Would like to see how bright one of these is in person.

  • this light looks good!
