  • I miss you swan you're such a good person.

  • The good die young :( R.I.P Rodger, wish you could still be around making videos.

  • Hell yea, if you go to Akihabara you must visit Super Potato! It's the best retro game store I have ever seen.

  • Even after 100x watching RodgerSwan vids, you never get tired off it and eventhough you know how its going to end you still curious. Always brings a smile to my face. Until next time rodger -r.i.p-

  • @darkxymo Couldn't have said it better.

    ~Love/Peace

  • I was just in Japan and after watching some more of Rodgers videos I realized that I went to the same game place he went to in the video. I feel so proud that I was able to walk in the same footsteps as Me. Swan. RIP, you will be missed.

  • @crown4life Acute Pancreatitis... Apparently. It's a shame that he's gone really. I know a lot of people doing nothing for themselves that seem to survive everything. It's sad.

Anywho, I'm looking into what killed him to better protect myself/others in the future.

  • すごいよ!!! I shat bricks when you where at Super Potato! Best video in a looong time MAN ^^

  • Watching all these videos is just too sad .

  • ... This is the third video I've watched and I'm still so angry that you had to go, it's so unfair. There's so many ungrateful people in the world, but I've never seen someone so happy to just be alive. I'll miss you, even though I've never met you personally. :( R.I.P

    He was a mentor.

    Bye Roger Swan.

  • sub this account!!!!! make his meme HUGE...... show our community has Unity!!!! RIP Swan...

    l.

  • i like the theme song iwate swan

  • 'team rocket' reunite!

  • This video makes me regret having sold my Dreamcast many years ago. I was a fool! But I don't regret selling my N64, I had but 3 games for that system. I wonder how popular Dreamcast still is in the secondary market because I still have some brand new Dreamcast fishing rods and controllers I'm thinking of selling off on ebay.

  • @Seebr115 Do yourself a favour and sell all of that shit.

  • Having a bad week? :)

  • looks fun friendship to hunter treasu

  • pretty bomb hat still.

  • Bro, I have Maximum Carnage still XD And I also have a copy of Phantasy Star (Master System) complete ;o

  • nice v neck sweater dude.

  • your friends are pretty cute, bring them back when you come home.

  • Wow! Akihabara is cool. I would have enjoyed that if ever I was there and seeing all those old games and consoles (^ ^)

  • long train ride

  • LOL. They were playing Lady Gaga in the record store.

  • Have you seen the film 'All About Lily Chou-Chou'? not the happiest movie in the world, but I think you'd like it.

  • 5:08

if you watch TkyoSam's #9 video, you can see Maximum Carnage has been there for awhile.

  • Nice. Well put together as always, bro.

It looks like there was a huge temperature shift once you got out of Tokyo.

  • Cherish that hat dude. Its awesome!

  • Another sega saturn? What happen to the one you had?

  • my other 2 are in america. it would cost more to ship them here then just buy a new one actually.

  • Really. How much is shipping?

  • uh man I envy ur adventures in japan some day I will venture there my self I must

  • It looks like so much fun there in Akiba. I'm a huge retro game fan. Can't wait till my japanese gets good enough to travel there.

  • DM rules

  • so very true. my favorite band in the universe.

  • Video Games FTW!

  • awesome...

  • Aw how cute. The other friend who joined is cute too. :) Lots of people! I wonder if they have any Sailor Moon games at that old games store? I think the train was cool. Must be so much fun. Do you get meals and stuff like on an airplane trip? I think it's great you've made some lasting friendships from college and keep in touch with people. Aw I think the hat is very cute and she did a very nice job. I so couldn't do that lol.

  • they have food you can buy on the train yeah. and yeah, i love the hat my girlfriend made :)

  • @rodgerswan Nice. I think it's neat they have the trains you can ride. Too bad we didn't here. Although there a while back last yr there was a lot of talk of John Kerry and a Senator from Georgia (Forgot his name) having a plan to have trains here in the U.S. That would be nice! Probably still being talked about just not in the media. The hat is cute. I found one just like it at Target a while back in white. Hehe.

  • the train swan music was very cool during the Shinkansen ride footage.

  • I see that the hero look is on

  • Ah!!! Is that a matching hat? Looks like a waffle stitch, one of my favorites!

  • your friend Shinya's a cutie! Bring him back again soon!

  • would anyone know of some vlogers like rodger?

Like english speaking people living/doing school in japan?

    Thanks if you know :D

    And great vid rodger!

  • Man, some Japanese guys look soooo androgynous!

  • I want a game store like that :( but if you find resident evil on the saturn get it! it's very rare!

  • i have resident evil on the saturn back home actually.

  • @rodgerswan Did you ever have a Game Gear? That was the only Sega thing I had. I loved it. I had a cool Power Ranger's game (I was like 13 haha) and Sonic. It was pretty nice for the early to mid 90's.

  • yup, i sure did (and still do) have a game gear. columns was easily my favorite game on there.

  • @rodgerswan Ah you still have it? Lucky. I think mine died sadly. ;( I loved my Sonic and Power Ranger's game lol.

  • @rodgerswan Oh did you ever have one of those tv signal things for Game Gear? I always wanted one but never got one. :(

  • muahahahahaha AKIBA a treasure trove of games and anime and otakudom eheheheheh btw love the music for the train hehehe XD

  • why sega saturn? Did you get the cheap one in the end?

  • sega saturn is my second favorite console (my favorite being the dreamcast). and yup, i bouhgt the cheap one.

  • i like his glasses!

  • really interesting video, keep up the good work!

  • A Saturn eh? Interesting choice. Why didn't you choose something else like an N64 or Super Famicom or PS1?

  • dreamcast and saturn are my favorite systems to collect (and play) games on. plus they are generally cheaper then the above consoles in japan.

  • @rodgerswan

Cool, that makes sense. I picked up a Dreamcast a few months ago, Im not familiar with it to much, I had a Cube. Any recomendations?

  • for dreamcast, shenmue, skies of arcadia, jet grind radio, grandia 2, soul calibur, D2, illbleed, gunbird 2, marvel vs capcom 2, powerstone... the list is endless haha.

  • Hm, I'm familiar with SC, I have 2 and 4. I've heard good things about Shenmue and Jet Grind Radio. I check these out.

Oh, and have you played Crazy Taxi or Legacy of Kain? They're all I have right now but they're pretty good.

  • Bye Rodger, I will always remember the Dreamcast games you recomended me only 1 week ago.

  • i just talked to him to. i sent him some books. its creepy i still got his e mails in my inbox .

  • Lmao when you said super potato at the beginning I thought it would be a place to eat XD

  • belated happy birthday :)

  • Japan looks awesome dude haha awesome retro store!

  • min 3:46 they turned their heads at the same time LOL LOL

  • Man, wish I could get my paws on some of those retro games! Also, hurray! Rupert's comin' back!

  • I can't remember...is Shinye Japanese?

  • Hope you get some cool games like X Men Vs Street Fighter Castlevania SOTN and NiGHTS

  • i have x men vs street fighter and nights back home for my japanese saturn there. i bought puzzle bobble 2x though and the tokimeki memorial game featured in this episode.... gonna buy enemy zero soon (only 50 yen hah)

  • Hey Swan. Bad ass retro games store's you took a visit to. I really wish we had such things in America. I'm sure we probably do, it's all on where you look I guess? But thanks for another great vlog. You always come threw. Much peace my friend.

  • Tokyo Jihen at 0:30 - 0:33 for the win. And interesting / fun video as always.

  • 5:10 - Yeah, you can get the same Maximum Carnage game for $42 max on eBay (includes shipping to Japan).

  • That's 3,815 yen!

So do I sense any Sega Saturn game reviews in the future?

  • great video swan . keep em coming ^_^ Why did you want a sega?

  • I'm a massive sega fan. Over 130 dreamcast games, I think somewhere around 75 saturn games, lots of genesis and sega cd games... I just love oldschool sega.

  • you should record some sega arcade then

  • Damn wish I still had my dreamcast. I'll have to head over to that store next month.

  • i liked that weird Michael jackson doll

  • YAY! Super Potato!!! My boyfriend also bought his Japanese Saturn at Super potato!!! Do they still have the full size Mario on the top floor?

  • Depeche Mode <3

  • By the way, Swan, why does your facial hair change with every episode?

  • because i like changing it up (and maybe a small part of me takes some pleasure from all the reactions of people from these videos hah).

  • Next time, style it into a handlebar mustache. Then a Hulk Hogan mustache. Then one of those things Lemmy Kilmister wears. I swear, you'll get more subscribers.

  • Funny. In Japan, Maximum Carnage is worth almost one grand. In America, it ranks an F on the rarity scale, meaning it's one of the most common games.

  • sugoi

    lov tokyo

  • 1:07 FAME MONSTER!!!

  • OMG Akiba and Super Potato! I miss going to those places so much! So many memories there. x3 Thanks for uploading as always Mr. Swan. X)

  • My friend has maximum carnage for the genesis lol

  • i used to have maximum carnage......holy shit.....what did i do with it?!?!?!?!?!?great video!

  • im amazed how they still sell sega saturn games in plastic, and so many retro games still in new condition, you will never find that where i live. also how long does it take for the train ride from hanamaki to tokyo via train, and is it direct?, or did u need to change trains?

  • it takes about 3 hours from tokyo to kitakami and then a short 10 minute train ride from there to hanamaki station.

  • oh god the memories!!, thanks for this!!! :), always love your vids!!

  • Why the hell is Maximum Carnage $900 in Japan?
