you are persuading people to get the surgery, kind of, but isnt this more informative? look at how you discuss and explain the surgery...good job though!
personally, my family and i researched surgeons and companies that offered lasik.. and we went with the most recommended place, even though it was pricey.
you get what you pay for.
we spent way more than $1800, and I haven't had a single problem, and my vision is still 20/12, 2 years later.
Shes not pausing as much as she probably should be is because it looks as though she knows what she is talking about. It was a very well thought out speech, I would just recommend pausing for a brief second after each sentence or before you start a new paragraph. Also slow it down a bit especially if the people you are speaking to have no knowledge in that field. Good speech otherwise.
You should watch last weekend's "60 minutes". Wonder why, none of the surgeons, or their children have the procedure performed, or why our police, and pilots are told not to have it done....oh ya, their vision is "more important"
Well keep in mind this speech was given way before "last weekend" - any new data (whether supportive or not) is obviously superior to my data which is over a year old now.
I run an optometric clinic. We see people every week with terrible results. Blurred vision, multiple images, glaucoma complexities, deflated eyes under laser, wrong numbers in computer, kerataconus, they all wear glasses after also. Are you gonna get a "tune up" every two years?????? nightmarish and why is this asshole pushing it?
Because everyone I know who HAS gotten Lasik is happy with it. NOBODY who I know personally has had a problem with it. If anything - these people with problems suffer from the inability to heal properly - usually due to poor nutrition. You eat like shit - then of course your body wont react normally to such a procedure.
How would you like to walk in with -3.00 ou. and come out with +3.00 ou. That's a receptionist who works for the surgeon that had that result -- human error...oh ya, if you spent several thousand and walked away without glasses, do you think you'd be rationalizing just how great it is???? Have you seen any other surgical procedure advertised like this?? What about kickbacks..I mean "co-management", so much for unbiased opinions. oh and if it's botched, healthcare here pays the surgeon a 2nd time
It has to do with poor science, with results skewed by HIGH profit margins, not poor nutrition....no more than Dow Corning and their class action lawsuits from silicone implants....just wait a year or two, and ask your "friends" again how they feel, and read the headlines
